am walking. I start shaking, just thinking about what is gonna happen if I don't get home in time.  

"Beep" 

The sound of a car horn makes me jump. I turn around and see Adam Grey smiling at me. Just freaking great, the universe really does hate me. 

"Hey Abby do you need a ride"? 

I turn and stare at him. Adam is now fully stopped in the middle of the road.  

"No I am fine thanks" 

He pulls over to the curb, gets out and walks over to me. I turn around and start walking. Adam runs to catch up to me, he grabs my arm to stop me.  

"What happened Abby, Why weren't on the bus" he asks 

"None of your damn business" I don't look at him because he doesn't need to see the damage that his girlfriend did to me.  

"Look at me Abby" 

I don't say anything and try and pull my arm out of his grasp, but he holds on tighter.  

"Look at me Abby" 

"No" 

Adam grabs my face and pulls it  towards him. His breath goes in sharp. And he looks pissed off.  

"Who did this to you" 

"Who the hell do you think it was" I yell, while pulling my arm from his grasp.  

"Brittany" 

"Are you really that stupid, I told you to stay away from me because all you do is make everything worse" I say 

"Abby don’t you understand, all you have to do is go and tell somebody, or I will" 

I get right up in his face, and say "No, I am not gonna tell anybody, it would only make everything so much worse, and if you tell I will tell that you had a part in it"  

His face turns stone hard. "I seriously don't understand what the big deal is about asking for some damn help" He says. 

"Ya well that doesn't surprise me, you don't understand a lot of things" 

"What the hell is that supposed to mean" 

"It means when someone asks you to leave them the fuck alone you do it, because when you don't you hurt that person" 

"Abby, Don't you get it, I don't want to see you get hurt, I like you a lot. I have liked you..." I interrupt him. "Ya I know as a friend or a sister or whatever" I say. He grabs me and pulls me towards him, the next thing I know his lips are on mine, soft, sweet lips, that send sparks throughout my body. I kiss him back, our lips moving in sync. My head gets all fuzzy and I can't think about what is happening, all I know is that my body is loving it. Adam pulls away. 

"No Abby I don't like you as a sister, I like you a lot more than that"  

I shove away processing what he just said. "If you fucking like me so much, then why the fuck could you just stand there all those times your girlfriend was bullying me, why couldn’t you stand up for me, why didn't you tell me" 

"I don’t know, all those times that it was happening I wanted to say something, I regret not saying something, but I can't go back and change that, if I could then I would"  

"Adam just stay away from me, you couldn't help then and you can't help now" 

With that I turn around and run, ignoring the pain that doesn't involve my side but my heart.
