**Jessica’s POV** 

I didn't realize I missed first block. I thought I set my alarm last night but apparently I didn't. I was in his arms, wrapped so tightly in a hug because he thought he did something wrong. but the truth is. he didn't. he did everything right. I just don't know if I can be with a jock because of what happened to my best friend... 

----FLASHBACK----

"come on girl!! we're going to be late for this damn thing!!" I didn't even want to go to this stupid party, but I couldn't leave her hanging while trying to get with her crush. Ahh, Brent! the hottest guy in school, or so Shyanne says (note the sarcasm). Tall, blue eyes, six pack, brown hair, and not to mention, popular. Everything a girl could want. The thing is, he wasn’t a good guy. He cheated on every single one of his past girlfriends. I just didn’t want her to get hurt. “I don’t really want to go Shyanne”, I was disappointed that she wanted someone like that. “why not? You’ve been wanting to go to a party for like, ever now?” yeah just not this one I thought to myself. I looked down to the floor and thought of things to say but I couldn’t find anything. “oh, I see, its because I’m meeting up with Brent isn’t it?” she looked mad. I don’t know what to say. “fine let’s go.” We walked to my car and drove to an address that I didn’t know existed. We were there for an hour before she went into the room with Brent. About thirty minutes later Brent came out and went home but Shyanne didn’t come out. I went down the hallway and tried to find the room she was in. I walked into a room that was pitch black and the door was closed. I turned on the light and Shyanne was laying on the bed. I walked over to her and asked her if we could leave but she didn’t answer me she just stared at the ceiling with a tear going down her face. “hey. What wrong? What did he do?”, still no answer. So I shook her and her body was cold. I covered her with the blanket ‘cause it was kinda cold in here. I shook her again and her body was limp. “what the fuck? SHAY!!” she didn’t even move. I put my hand under her head and lifted her to my face and put my ear to her mouth. She wasn’t breathing. I looked at her neck to see if it was moving and I noticed hand marks like she was strangled.. that bastard killed my best friend. He killed her. “SHAY! SHAY NO!! COME ON WAKE UP! SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!!” I could feel the tears running down my face. Hard tears. I held her tighter than ever and just cried. 10 minutes later the Ambulance, Fire truck, and police showed up. The paramedics came in and put her on a stretcher. I held her hand and ran with them to the van. I got in, never letting go of her hand, and the paramedics examined her. There were bruises on her neck, her arms, her face, and her legs. Like he raped her. We got to the Hospital and they couldnt do anything for her. That guy killed my best friend and i will never forget about it.

I pulled myself out of the vision i was just having and realized i was still in Jason's arms and i was crying. Not every guy is the same, right? I mean he did ask if i was sure before he stuck it in. He's a nice guy. I don't think he would do anything to hurt me. I just have to find out. 

** Jason's POV ** 

I felt a drop of water hit my chest. I looked down and noticed she was crying. "Hey, what's wrong??" she didn't answer me. i grabbed her shoulders and looked into her eyes and asked her again. "I need to know how you really feel about me, i promised myself i would never date a jock. But if you have real feelings then i'll give you a chance." Why is she asking me this? " I like you, a lot. i want to be with you. Nobody else." She looked down and sighed. "What is this about?" i asked.
