heavy, fell to the side of the bed and then I slowly stood, my knees cracking in protest. I did not hesitate to open the window and gaze down upon the form that stood on the soaked grass just below.

“Hear my soul speak. Of the very instant that I saw you, Did my heart fly at your service." The familiar voice reached my ears, my heart twisted then fluttered but my face remained expressionless.

"What could you possibly want, Rael? You have some balls to show up only days after the incident." My tone was clipped, sharp. My eyes fumed when he grinned and went for the front door.

Only moments later would he reach the entrance to my clustered bedroom. His muscular form was propped against the black pained frame, the old wood groaning under his weight.

"Kadira, I need to talk to you. Hear me out, will you?" His emerald eyes were desperate, and if I remember correctly, they held some sort of pain, or regret.

"You have minutes to explain. Go." I crossed my arms over my chest and shifted most of my weight onto my right leg, eyes locked on his.

"I did not mean for any of that to happen, you know, that one night. That woman that was with me, she's nothing compared to you. I don't know what I was thinking, I had no idea you... L-Lo-"

"Loved." I chimed in sarcastically, a low chuckle bursting passed my once closed lips.

"Yeah, that. Listen, I don't expect you to forgive me, but I just wanted to apologize. I hurt you, and that has made these days unbearable for me. I miss the way you smile when you look at me, those beautiful, unique eyes that make me crazy for you. Give me a second chance, this time as a boyfriend." He daringly strode toward me and took both of my hands in his. My heart skipped a few beats, but my expression didn't change, not for several seconds, but soon, it softened.

"One chance. Don't blow it." I murmured softly, standing up on my toes to run my fingers through his slick, coal colored hair. His eyes closed, his body relaxed into mine, we fit together, perfectly.

"Kadira, I love you." He whispered before his lips collided mine. Those few moments, when our lips danced with each other in sync sent me into a blissful, almost high state until he parted.

"As I love you." Our foreheads pressed together, our fingers now entwined. Slowly, I pulled him toward the bed, pushing him down gently, I straddled his lap and looked into his eyes. His finger tips teased the flesh on lower arm as his lips locked around mine.

He was mine, perhaps it was the wrong choice, maybe I shouldn't have let him in that quick, but desires get the best me. My fingers trailed down his chest and down to the bottom of his shirt. My lips left his so I could pull up his shirt.

"Kadira..." He was breathless already, and soon his lust was released. He took me by my wrists and pinned me down on the bed, looking down at me with that adorable cocky smirk. I chuckled, then placed my lips at the base of his neck, sucking and nipping until I knew a mark was left behind. He only groaned and began to grind our lower parts together, his hands tearing off the thin fabric that covered my torso. We took turns, tearing off articles of clothing until our bare bodies were against eachother.

"Rael... Take me... Now..." I said in between whimpers and pants. He didn't need any other kind of encouragement. With one thrust of the hips, he pushed into me, the room was filled with the hot and steamy sounds of pleasure.

Our bodies slammed and rocked against one another in the desperate fight for dominance and release. His hands and fingers entangled in my long hair, tugging on it with enough force to make me yelp, my hips thrashing against his roughly. His thrusts grew possessive, up until the very end, entering our climaxes at the same exact moment. With a few pleasure sounds, we released then went limp.

"You're perfect..." Rael mumbled lazily, his hot breath hitting the base of my neck that sent shivers up and down my spine.

“I love you more than words can wield the matter, dearer than eyesight, space and liberty..." I recited, a line I remember from a Shakespeare play which only made him smile before sleep took over his form. There, I would stay.

Nuzzled into Danger

Within hours, I felt Rael's warm finger tips caress her cracks the looked similar to spiderwebs. I shuddered, my form had tensed up at the unusual contact; my stiff movements did not go un-noticed.

"Sorry, love. I didn't know that it bothered you." His voice was husky, thick with slumber which made it all the more sexy.

"Don't worry about-" I was cut off by his beeper that laid in his pants that were on the cold, drafty floor. "I believe work calls..." I muttered under my breath.

"I'm sorry again. I need to go. I'll be back later, promise." His lips found mine, one tender kiss and he was up and pulling his clothes back on.

"Your shirt is on backwards, idiot." I managed to laugh out lightly, watching him flail around, trying to fix the wrinkled shirt.

"Yeah, yeah. Make fun of me later. I love you, beautiful!" He winked at him with such a wicked grin, it made me shiver. Too soon though, he ran down the stairs and soon, out of the mansion.

Hours had passed ever since Rael had left for work, and my heart skipped a beat as the floor boards creaked and groaned downstairs. Expecting Rael to be home, I sprinted down the spiral stair case only to be stopped by a hooded form.

"Wh-" The wind was knocked out of me, I found my self up against the wall, my head pressed against the wall, my arms and legs dangling freely. The figure slowly turned, it's glossy crimson hues were set on my, an ear to ear grin plastered on it's pale face.

"Lilith told me that you were gullible and easy, but I at least expected a little more of a fight." It was a male who spoke, his voice deep and raspy that made me shudder with discomfort.

"What does Lilith want?" My tone was like a whip, so cold and deep that even the male flinched but soon replaced his uncertainty with a chuckle.

"Why, she wants you, she wants you alive and standing before her. She also wants your man dead, she doesn't like it when mortals stand in the way of something she wants, my beauty." He took a few steps until he was pressed up against me, his finger curled underneath my chin.

I gathered up all the saliva I had and spit right in his eyes. His guard was done and I was released as he fell to his knees on the floor. It was my turn to chuckle as my leg swung around to send a devastating blow to his head. He flew across the room and landed with a groan, his body jumbled up against the wall.

"I thought you were going to put up more of a fight." I sneered, walking over to him.

"You're going to regret this. Mark my word, Kadira." He managed to grin deviously before he disappeared within a black cloud of smoke.

"Come and get me." I whispered, but now that I look back on it... That was a careless thing to whisper.

Secrets

An hour passed since the confusing and utterly terrifying encounter, I could not bring myself to move. Curled up in a ball in the corner of the living room, the light from outside dimmed as day turned to night. I was so dazed, the opening of the front door did not faze me.

"Kadira, what are you doing?" Rael's voice was filled with worry, his keys had dropped to the linoleum as he rushed over to my side.

"Just laying here..." I mumbled, forcing my gaze to lock on him. It was difficult to look up at him, I knew he was in danger, it pained me, more than anything.

"Did something happen? Don't lie to me." He gently laid my head on his lap, his long fingers combing through my hair as he looked down upon me with such adoring, emerald eyes.

"Nothing. I'm just tired." I smiled up at him which made him relax.

He gave me a cocky smile and picked me up bridal style, making his way up the stairs."I missed you, Kadira."

"I missed you too, Rael." And thank god you were not here an hour ago.

He walked into the master bedroom and laid me down on the bed, his body hovering over mine for just a moment as he placed a tender kiss on my lips. I sighed in content and allowed my lips to melt against his for a minute or two before he slid off me and onto the bed.

"Get some rest. I have a surprise for you in the morning." He whispered in my ear, his arms snaking around my waist to pull me against him.

"You better get some rest too, mister." I mumbled drowsily, my eyelids slowly drooping until my eyes were closed.

"You got it, beautiful..." Those were the words that lulled me to sleep, a deep sleep.

Awaking to soft snoring in my ear and arms still wrapped around my waist was probably one of the best feeling ever. All of my troubles just seemed to melt away. I slowly turned in his arms and nuzzled his neck, my eyes closing once more. Fingertips then teased my back, making me giggle lightly under my breath.

"Good morning, gorgeous." Rael whispered lowly, his voice thick with slumber.

"Good morning, baby..." I murmured, my lips now eagerly finding his. He groaned at the contact, his grip tightening around me.

"You're driving me crazy and I don't know how you do it." He whispered against my plush. I could tell it took all of his strength to pull away, his eyes glossed over with lust and desire.

"We will continue this later. You said you had a surprise for me today." I crawled up on top of him and pinned his arms down against the mattress.

"Yeah, yeah. Get ready." He grunted and grabbed my breasts for a minute, his eyes lit up a bit.

"Later." I repeated then slid off him and ran to the bathroom to shower and change.
