âYou donât mind if I let them call me Miss Aisha, do you?â I asked my dad while taking a bite of my lasagne.
My dad shrugged, âNah, I donât mind. Youâre a woman now. You can do whatever you want. Just be careful.â Shock was spread on my face.
âReally?â I didnât bother to hide my surprised.
âYes.â Dad smiled and so was mum, âNow, eat your food and in 10 minutes weâll be in airport.â
We arrived in airport exactly 10 minutes and we walked to the back â where two private jet planes were ready to go.
We walked inside the plane and the body guards were on the other plane. Dad said that even though I will be safe in France inside the school campus, I still need body guard for my extra safety because my powers were still sleeping inside me. And I laughed at his last sentence âsleeping powersâ but he didnât find it funny, so I keep my mouth shut.
Chapter Eight - Beauxbatons Academy of MagicA few hours passed by and we arrived in France at 6:45 in the evening. I thought that the school was in the city but dad said we still have 4 hours to drive near the city of Cannes in southern France.
I fell asleep for almost 3 hours and a half when mum wakes me up and put my black hooded jumper on. I argued because it was summer in France and the weather is fine but my mum forced me to wear it so I obeyed.
A huge concrete gate with black bars catches my attention. Though the moon was hiding and the darkness was too thick but the beauty inside the gate enlightens the place. The two muscly guys open the gate and our car drive inside and I have a clear view of the place.
âIs this my new school?â I asked my parents and not taking my eyes off of the gigantic palace.
âYes, and this is your second home.â My mum holds my hand.
The school was enormous; it is actually bigger than our house. The buildings were concrete; there is a huge fountain at the middle of the school. The area was covered with trees and there was a little bridge that connects the other building to the main one.
âWelcome to the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.â A flying paper snapped my attention and a petite small girl was standing in front of the hallway.
âThank you.â is the only words that comes out from my mouth.
She smiled and greeted my parents. She walked before us and guides us to the office. Mum always blabbering about her experience and moments here in Beauxbatons. She talked about how she meet dad in this school and how the school changes a lot since in their time. But I wasnât listening much. Iâm too busy looking at the big paintings in the wall.
We stop at the big black and white wooden door and the small girlâs that guide us snap her fingers 5 times and the door comes into life. The door open and I swallowed my surprised expression. The girl chuckled looking at my expression.
The room was a little old but the furniture looks new. I walked around the room and mum dad take a seat in the side. There are heaps of books that was cleanly arrange in the wall. Black and white couches and the paintings inside the room are gold, white and black.
I wonder that since we come inside the gate the colours of the paintings, walls, furniture, doors and even the carpets were black and white. Everything is black and white. I was just going to ask dad if why everything in this place is black and white when I bumped into something hard.
âOh my god! Iâm sorry, Iâm so sorry I wasnât looking. Iâm too busy looking at the place andâŠoh god. Iâm sorry.â I started blabbering, panic and scared rush through me. I donât want my first day in my new home become a disaster because of actions.
My father appeared quickly in my side and my mum stood on my other side. A deep sweet voice calms my nerves, âItâs okay, calm down. Iâm not going to punish you or anything like that. Itâs my fault anyway, I didnât notice that I have visitors.â He said looking at me, then to my mum and dad. âLord Jacob, Queen Aila. Welcome back!â he greeted my parents.
My dad smiled at him and hugged him, âThank you son. Itâs been a long time.â My mum smiled at him as well and patted his back.
âYouâre getting more handsome when we visit you here last year.â My mum said to him like a mother.
I was getting annoyed to my hooded jumper because I canât see his face and my parents know him? How? Hmm, interesting.
The man laughed and his laughed sounds familiar to me but I canât point a finger on it. âThank you, Queen Aila. So do you, you always look young and beautiful, Lord Jacob is very lucky to have you.â And this time I swear mum and dad exchange those looks that I always felt sick and want to puke anytime. âIs this your daughter?â he asked, Iâm not sure if he was looking at me, but I donât care because Iâm getting sweaty of my jumper.
âYes.â My dad answered, âShe will be here to master and know her skills and powers and can protect her own life when the time comes.â Iâm not sure what my father was talking about. I just shrugged, praying to God that my mum would let me remove my jumper.
âHave a seat.â The guy said and we all take a seat.
I was relieved and happy that I almost do a happy dance when mum said, âSweetheart, you can remove your jumper now.â
I turned my back to the guy and walked to my mumâs seat. My mother has a power of water, she can make you feel fresh inside your body without getting soaked in the water and I am thankful that she has a power like that because I donât want to walk inside the campus in sweaty dress.
She put her hands on palm and a cold feeling run through my body like ice. I think she put a little bit too much on me because my natural scent fill the room. After mum was done the guy break the silence in the room.
âChocolate caramel, nice.â He said while sniffing the room, he added, âSuch a unique and a powerful combination of a nature. What is your scent in our world?â he asked and I walked back to my seat.
My hair was still covering my face and I pull my hair tie from my purse to put my hair in a bun. When I finished, I sit properly in the chair and the man, âMint. My scent is mint.â I responded to his question.
I was a little surprise when I see the man sitting in front of us. He looked a little like crazy-chortler in my dream, but his eyes were blue like mine but his was a little lighter and mine was darker. His lips were thin heart shape and plump same as mine as well but mine is a little pinker than his. His jaw line was is so similar like crazy-chortler and also their hair but the difference is the colour. Crazy-chortlerâs hair was black whilst this man in front of me was dirty blonde. He is handsome as well, they almost look like twins.
I realised that I was checking him out and I donât want to look an idiot in front of my parents so I put up my formal attitude, âI am Aisha Ariel Adara Ahave. But you can call me anything you want just donât call me princess or anything richly, I donât like it.â I mumbled and my dad laughed beside me.
His face was still shocked since I removed my jumper and his mouth agape like a baby that needed to be feed by his mother. And that make me more confuse. When I was still in California my mother always let me wear a jumper when we have visitors and when I removed my jumper they would freeze in their spot looking at me with their mouth ajar and wide eyes. I still donât get it, why they act like they saw a monster in front of them.
Dad saw his expression as well and he cleared his throat to get the guyâs attention. âDoes she look familiar to you, Cedric?â
Cedric, huh! CoolâŠ
He blinked his eyes twice and faces my father, his pinkish-white face became pale and his hands were shaking. I have no idea why he acted so strange. âOh⊠IâŠI-Iâm sorry Lord Jacob. I justâŠyea, she look a lot like her. I-IâŠI just canâtâŠwow!â he stuttered.
I look like whom?
My dad looked at me strangely and looked to mum and the three of them stared each other and Iâm lost why. âShe does look like her. Do you think sheâs the beauty?â
âShe really looked a lot like Marina.â My mum added and I just stared at them in disbelief that they are talking like I am invisible.
I hate being ignored so I jump of my seat and stared at them in stormy eyes, âGeez⊠For the love of God! Could you please tell me whatâs going on because I swear to nature I felt like I am invisible in this room and I have no idea what you are guys talking about.â
Cedric expression wasnât shock or surprised anymore but he found my outburst amusement. âOh⊠Feisty, I like that.â
I swear my mouth dropped on the floor when he winked at me, âExcuse me?â I exclaimed and he just laughed so as my parents.
I waved my hand up in frustration, âMum,dad! Come on. Are you just sat there and let him talk to me like⊠like⊠like maniac ass?â
My mum shrugged and grinned widely, âCome on, sweetheart. Youâre 19-years-old and you still havenât been in a relationship before. How could I have grandchildren if youâre over reacting like that? You should joined young adults game. You know, enjoy your life as a beautiful young woman.â I stared at her with my eye wide and mouth ajar.
I know if I continued argue mum about it this guy, Cedric will become pain in my ass as long as I stayed here in this place. I stared to dad and he was trying to force back his laugh. A cleared throat gets my attention and turned my gaze back to Cedric, âI havenât introduce myself properly to you young lady.â I raised my eye brow and he stood up from his chair, âIâm Cedric Angell, the older son of Claude Angell and Iâm the Foremost Owner of this school.â I thought his a jerk or maybe his acting like a gentleman but the truth is heâs a jerk. Yea, whatever. âItâs a pleasure to meet you Ms Ahave.â
âPlease call me Aisha.â I interrupted and he smiled.
His smile makes him look more gorgeous but crazy-chortler is more handsome than him. Okay, so
