Sigh. I ambled along the cracked pavement, littered with crisp packets and coke cans; staring at my frown in the reflection of the puddles. I pulled my slipping rucksack back up to my shoulders and looked around. Same old street. Same old potholes and most of all same old Aimee. I tried not to get noticed, but yet again she spotted me ducking behind the brambles. Damn. I thought, "Hey Lily come over here were playing dares - unless you're too chicken!" I overheard the giggles from her friends. I tried so very hard to ignore her, Mum always told me 'never get dragged in' but my pride took over - I wasn't stupid I had to show them. I knew it wouldn't make me any more 'popular' in class, but I had to put up a fight.

I strolled cooly nonchalant over towards them. "Oh hi of course I'll play". They looked stunned though soon regained their stony composure. "Ok Lily since you were last to come I dare you" at that point I became very worried. "Lily I dare you to go into his garden," she pointed to an old mans house,"and puncture his car tyres with this" She held up a knife. My eyes widened. "What!!" I exclaimed, "Are you crazy?!"
"Awwwww Lily's scared!" The others stifled their laughter though a snigger escaped from Chloe. Then I breathed in and took the knife.
"Aimee if you are so 'brave'," I did speech fingers,"then why don't you

do it?"
Abbi didn't know what to say, "B..But it's your go", she managed.
"Go on Aimee", came a voice from behind me,"We all

know how much you love dares" My friend Afia strolled over to me and stood there next to me. "Thanks Afia" I whispered. "No Probs" she replied.

Aimee looked around at her friends in a desperate attempt for someone to save her, which clearly DIDN'T work. "Come on Aimee", Chloe pleaded in a you - too - scared tone.
"W..Well I can't do it it's your dare Lily you have too!" she uttered.
"Aimee, Aimee, Aimee if you told me to run across the motorway would I do it?"
"Um M-"
"NO exactly", I interrupted, "So Aimee do what you like but don't say I didn't tell you so"
Aimee whispered something to her friends then they took to their heels and legged it all the way down the road, not stopping once. "Cowards!" we laughed.
