âGimatâŠâ Wiley growled. âYou⊠I should have known.â
âWhatever, stupid mutt,â Gimat replied, eyeing Wiley.
âYouâre evil,â Asmyne told Gimat.
Gimat smiled. âAnd youâre just now noticing that? You may be a mad scientist⊠but youâre naĂŻve when it comes to trusting people.â
Damen punched Gimat right in the jaw causing a popping noise but it had happened in a quick second.
Gimat eyed the earthling boy but the punch hadnât affected him. âDone, boy?â
âIt might be best if you leave, Gi,â Asmyne told him.
âFine⊠ten days, Asmyne⊠ten days then this planet goes boom!â Gimat had jumped in Asmyneâs face for a moment, causing Asmyne to lean back slightly. âCome on, Semi.â Gimat left with Semi tagging along behind.
The Last Day On SylestnySasha walked into the apartment, followed by another girl. The new girl had long pitch black hair which dropped down over her shoulders. She wore a black tank top with matching baggy black pants which were held up with a thick belt that was barely noticeable since it blended with the pants. She had pale white skin and pitch black eyes. She wore dark colored wrist bands with spikes poking out of them. She wore a few small rings on her fingers of each hand.
âHey, Sasha⊠Ren,â April told them.
âHey, April,â Sasha replied.
âHello,â Ren replied with a soft and plain tone.
âWhat are you two up to?â April asked.
âWe were⊠well I was planning on going swimming,â Sasha answered. âRenâs going to try and get a tan. We wanted to know if you and Asmyne wanted to join us.â
âSounds fun⊠Iâll go ask her.â April left the room.
âAsmyne?â Ren asked. âWhat kind of insane name is that?â
âI donât know,â Sasha replied. âWhat kind of insane name is Ren?â she asked, looking at her creepy roommate.
Ren shot Sasha a strange and creepy look which freaked Sasha out.
âPlease donât kill me⊠I didnât mean,â Sasha replied.
Asmyne ran through a maze when she ran into April.
âOw!â April shouted.
Asmyne quickly jumped to her feet. âThereâs no time for that, earthling.â She was jumpy as if she was in a hurry.
âWhatâs going on, Asmyne? And where are we?â
âWeâre in a maze inside of a house and I just placed a bomb in the basement which is set to blow any minute now⊠we have to get out of here fast.â
âOh⊠okay.â April followed Asmyne through the long and confusing maze.
Wiley stood a few yards away from the two story house. He looked at a clock which Asmyne had giving him to keep track of time. âCome on, professor,â he mumbled with worry in his voice. He kept glancing at the house then to the clock. âCome on.â
Two figures emerged out of the house and over to him. April noticed that the house was the only one around. Trees had surrounded the area.
âHey, professor, you made it just in time,â Wiley informed them.
âCool,â Asmyne said with a smile. She looked over at the house and waited.
âTen⊠nine⊠eight,â Wiley counted down, keeping an eye on the clock. âSeven⊠six⊠five⊠four⊠three⊠two⊠one.â He looked up at the house.
Asmyne lost her smile. âWhy isnât it doing anything?â
âI donât know. It should have gone off by now,â Wiley agreed.
They waited but nothing happened.
Asmyne sighed. âItâs probably another dud. Iâll be back.â
âOkay,â Wiley replied. He and April watched Asmyne walk back to the house. They watched her walk in and then the building exploded. They watched something shoot up into the bright blue sky whilst the house burst into flames. Their heads and eyes followed the object fly through the air and land with a loud thunk.
The leaves shuffled and Asmyne had landed on the ground, sliding next to Wiley.
âYou know, professor, I think that your timing is off horribly,â Wiley told her with a small smile.
Asmyne pushed herself up so she could glare at Wiley. Her face was covered with ashes from the blast. She slowly pushed herself up to her feet. âWell, that didnât go as I had planned.â
âHey, you could say that you flew.â Wiley laughed.
Asmyne shook her head at Wileyâs comment. âWhat do you want, earthling?â
âWell, I, Sasha, and her roommate were going to the swimming pool⊠want to join?â April asked.
âSure⊠but I want to be back before three because Iâm meeting Damen today,â Asmyne answered.
âOkay,â April replied.
âCan I go?â Wiley asked, wagging his tail.
âNo,â Asmyne replied.
âOh man,â the wolf sighed with disappointment.
At the swimming pool, Raye had arrived with another girl. Rayeâs friend had short blonde hair and like Raye was dressed like a prostitute. Raye noticed Asmyne, April, Sasha, and Ren. âThatâs the one who called me a tramp,â she whispered to the blonde girl about Asmyne.
âWhat nerve?â the blonde replied.
âI know right?â Raye agreed.
They walked over to the four girls. âWhat do you want, Raye? Denise?â April asked.
âTo tell your roommate that she isnât allowed to talk to me the way she did,â Raye told them, eyeing Asmyne.
âThe truth hurts, child,â Asmyne replied. She didnât even bother to look at Raye.
âChild? Iâm eighteen⊠Iâm an adult,â Raye replied.
Asmyne and April laughed like it had been an inside joke. âBelieve me,â Asmyne began, "youâre not close enough to be an adult.â
âYou think youâre better than me, donât you?â Raye asked.
Asmyne stood up and locked eyes with Raye. âNo⊠I donât. I know a lot of trampy girls like you and your friend over there. Youâre going to meet a guy whoâs going to want one thing from you and once he gets what he wants heâs going to leave. I know a woman who was married for ten years to a man and they tried to have a child for eight of those years when they found out that she couldnât reproduce.â She eyed Raye. âThe tenth year her husband met a tramp assistant who was about your age and chose the tramp over his wife⊠because she could give him children. Lucky for that tramp he hasnât left her yet⊠butâŠ.â The anger slowly began revealing itself in her voice.
âYeah⊠so what does that have to deal with me?â Raye asked with boredom and sarcasm.
âI want you to know that if you try to take any other girls man⊠I hope that they will knock you out⊠âcause I know I would.â
âWhoa⊠whatâs going on?â Damenâs voice asked from behind Asmyne.
Asmyne felt the anger vanish whilst she turned to face Damen. She smiled. âOh⊠I need to talk to you about something.â
Damen raised an eyebrow. âDid I do something bad?â
âNo⊠but I need you to come with me to my laboratory,â she answered.
âOoo⊠we going to experiment on each other if you know what I mean?â he asked, playfully.
Asmyne smiled. âSomething like that.â
âNice,â Damen replied.
April felt gross out. âIâm going to go make sure that they donât do what I think theyâre going to do.â She hurried after them, acting the way any protective sister would.
âOh so she calls me a tramp but sheâs going to-â Raye began but was cut off by Sasha.
âActually, Raye,â Sasha replied, âAsmyne isnât a trampy girl like you.â
Raye and Denise looked at Sasha.
âSheâs just a tease, unlike you,â Sasha added.
Ren laughed at Sashaâs comment.
âWhat are you laughing at, freak?â Raye asked.
Ren stared at Raye with a creepy look which freaked her out.
âNever mind⊠letâs get out of here, Denise,â Raye told her friend.
âSure,â Denise replied.
April followed Damen and Asmyne into Asmyneâs laboratory. âOkay, what Iâm about⊠April, what are you doing here?â Asmyne asked.
âMaking sure that you donât try anything that you two shouldnât do,â April answered.
Asmyne sighed. âI told you nothingâs going on. Now, Damen, I want you to meet someone. Wiley!â
Wiley walked into the area and glanced at Damen. He sniffed the air and walked next to Asmyne.
âDamen, this is Wiley my laboratory assistant. Say hi, Wiley,â Asmyne told the two guys in her life.
Wiley just stared at Damen.
âSay something, Wiley,â Asmyne told the wolf.
Wiley remained silent.
Asmyne laughed a little out of frustration and felt a little stupid. âSo, I tell you not to speak and you canât seem to shut up but now I tell you to talk and you have nothing to say?â
âBut you told me not to speak in front of the earthlings,â Wiley answered.
âOh cool⊠he talks,â Damen replied with a small laugh.
âThatâs not creepy to you?â April asked.
Asmyne stared at Damen with shock.
âNo⊠Asmyneâs a mad scientist,â Damen replied. âIt doesnât surprise me. I think itâs cool.â
Asmyne smiled at Damenâs answer. âThen maybe this wonât freak you out either⊠hopefully. I and Wiley are actually aliens from another planet. We were sent here about a hundred years ago. I am over three million years old. My marriage I told you about lasted ten years before I caught him cheating on me with his lab rat and we got a divorce. I would have told you sooner but I didnât know how. If youâre mad at me for keeping all of this a secret, I understand. If you need time to take all of this in, I understand that too. If you donât believe me at all, I completely understand. I just wanted to tell you all of this because my ex-husband plans on destroying this beautiful planet and Iâm doing what I can to stop him.â
Damen looked at Asmyne and smiled. âI believe you⊠and Iâm not mad. I can tell that you were going to tell me sooner or later but you didnât know how.â He walked over to Asmyne and hugged her. âYou are incredible. Your ex-husband is a moron for leaving you.â He kissed her forehead.
âAww thank you.â
âCool⊠Iâm dating an older space chick.â
Asmyne couldnât help but laugh.
Wileyâs ears perked up. âUh-oh.â
âWhat is it, Wiley?â Asmyne asked.
âItâs Gimat and Semi,â he answered, growling. âTheyâre close."
âWell it sounds like we have some unwanted guest then,â Asmyne replied.
Asmyne, Damen, April, and Wiley stood outside of the apartment when Gimat and Semi arrived. Wiley watched them with a low growl in his throat.
âAh, my dear, Asmyne,â Gimat spoke whilst he stood right in front of her.
âDonât call me that, Gi,â Asmyne responded.
âFine.â He glanced over at Wiley. âI see that you still have that stupid mutt.â
âHeâs smarter than your lab rat,â Asmyne replied. âWhich reminds me⊠howâs bestiality treating you?â she glanced at Semi for a moment, pointing toward her. âDid she give you the litter of rodents that you wanted?â
âWell, at least, she gave me more children than you ever did.â Gimat didnât care if he was being inconsiderate or not.
Asmyne looked away. The words had stung her heart.
Damen walked over to Asmyne and wrapped an arm around her. âI think that Asmyneâs amazing.â
âOh and who are you, boy?â Gimat asked.
âDamen Simpson⊠Asmyneâs boyfriend,â he answered.
âDamen,â Asmyne interrupted, âthis is Professor Gimat Ringola, and his lab rat as well as his wife, Semi Ringola.â
Damen looked over at Semi and had to keep from laughing. âSo you dumped Asmyne for Minnie Mouse?â
Asmyne had to cover her mouth to hide the laughter.
Gimat didnât laugh. He didnât find Damenâs joke to be all that funny. âShe gave me children whereas Asmyne couldnât.â
âSo you went for your lab rat?â Damen asked. âShe has a tail. Sheâs not even cute.â
Semi dropped her mouth. âHeâs mocking me, Gi.â
âYes, I know, Semi.â Gimat looked over at April and
