âYouâre dumber than I actually thought. I didnât think youâd sign without looking.â He remarked and I wouldâve smacked him for insulting me but what he said registered in my mind. What had I agreed to? The other buyers had smug smiles on their face. This was definitely not good.
âYou see, you just signed yourself over to HQ. Here; Iâll read it for you.
I, Ilana accept to submit myself over to The HQ headed by Elroy McJaeger and do accept wholeheartedly, any punishment he deems fit for me and agree to everything he says which includes to FORFEIT my hold on his daughter Chloe Jade and to willingly accompany them to the Cells where the mentally unstable people are held so that I can receive the help needed.
I also accept, to hand over the leadership position of my people over to them. For this, I accept to give back the TEN BILLION DOLLARS which was given as the price on the condition that theyâll keep me alive, healthy and renew my nano-bots as per the requirements. Failure to adhere to this will lead to DEATH.â
He looked up to me and I couldnât hold back the aggravated scream from my mouth. This couldnât be happening!!
âButâbut, it canât be! I had it all under wraps!â I explained in an aggravated voice but the idiots only smiled smugly. How lovely.
âIâm sorry Ilana but you got served.â Alex stated smugly. I couldnât keep it in any longer, a laugh tumbled from my lips making them look at me like I was an idiot.
âAre you sure that the document is signed?â I asked in a sickly sweet voice making Alexâs eyes immediately drop to the bottom line where my signature was supposed to be.
I watched in glee as his eyes widened and he stared at the document like it was an alien. Poor foolish boy.
âI never signed it, I just signed a piece of paper that I wisely placed while neither of you children were looking. Clever isnât it?â I asked, the sweetness dropping from my voice. âNow that Iâve figured out who the traitor is in the group, I would like to call my new second in command to escort you to the dungeons where you will patiently wait for my judgement.â I explained as I keenly examined my nails.
These children seriously underestimated me, how could they expect me not to know; I mean, their plan wouldâve worked if I hadnât been tipped off by my most trusted spy. Heck, I even had video footage as proof. The little idiotic girl couldnât even be wise enough to go back on her word believing that I would kill everyone she loved. I would do that in a heartbeat if I could but the little brats were hard to track and seemed to vanish into thin air after she turned herself in. bless her poor noble heart because it would be the end of me if she ever changed her mind.
^^^^^^
âYOU HAVE NO PLAN!!!â I roared as I watched Alex shrug without a care in the world. What was wrong with him!
âChill out princess. At least I tried to save you. Youâre welcome by the way.â He explained like I was some idiot. This guy was more annoying than I could ever imagine.
âYeah, thanks for sealing our fates. Iâm sure weâre all going to die today.â I remarked sarcastically and Alex rolled his eyes at me like I wasnât getting the bigger picture.
âNo, at least youâll get the Titanic kind of love, you know, you die next to the guy you love. Isnât that the best kind of love?â He explained it like the worldâs biggest genius ever known. He was the genius who proved to the world that idiots like him actually exist.
âYou do realize that only one person died and they werenât even dating.â I explained exactly the way Dusk explained in my head.
âHa! At least you admit you have watched it despite the many times you denied it. Admit it, youâre a sap deep down.â He said smugly and I was about to unleash the full wrath of Dusk on him if the door hadnât suddenly burst open and a guard walked in. It was time.
âTime to face your consequences.â He droned on and for a moment I thought it was his punishment getting us. âBitâboss wants you in the clearing deck now.â He continued and I smirked at his first description of the witch.
âHow soon, tell her that weâll be there in ten minutes. I need to groom myself first.â Alexâs bored tone rang out and everyone turned to look at him like he was insane, which he probably was judging by the way he was speaking. âWhat?â he asked when he saw that everyone was looking at him.
âAnyway. You have to follow me now or sheâll come to get you herself.â He droned on.
âDude, could you sound a little excited? You sound like youâre dying.â Alex retorted and the other man who was one of the buyers swatted him at the back of his head.â
âYippee, you four idiots are going to die today. Now letâs go.â He expressed in a bored yet utterly sarcastic tone that made me almost admire his talent. Almost.
We all stood up with Alex being pulled up forcefully since he didnât want to. We followed the guide through the halls and instead of going to the clearing deck, he was leading us to the stairs.
âI thought you said you were taking us to the clearing deck?â I raised my question but everyone turned to look at me like I was an idiot.
âWow, princess, I didnât know you were very excited to die. Why question your enemy when theyâre making a mistake?â Alex questioned me making me realize how stupid I was actually being. The longer we take, the better. I shut my mouth and followed them waiting to see what the future holds for us.
âDusk, any sign of trouble and you activate protection mode. Make sure they survive.â I mentally instructed her and relaxed as I heard her âaffirmative.â
