pt>Chapter 1
My Mother was a ghost is a true story based on actual facts but the names were changed to protect the innocent. Let me tell you a little bit about ghosts and spirits. Ghosts are disembodied people who are “trapped” in this physical world. Ghosts are usually trapped due to trauma or unfinished business here on earth. By being attached to people, things or events that occurred in the past they cannot cross over. Ghosts need direction and assistance in delivering a message or fixing a situation which will allow them to proceed to the afterlife. While Spirits “Angels” have crossed over and only appear to comfort us, guide us and observe our lives.

I believe my mother tormented everyone on earth as a ghost because she did have unfinished business and oh yeah there was trauma there also. The reason she haunted everyone was that she knew her sons and her niece that she had raised where not and have not been getting along. I must say there were legitimate reasons why they were not getting along. Delia’s passing was sudden. She did pass away and died in her own house. The actual house she was haunting. Her death created all kinds of legal estate mess. The sons and the favorite niece also had the wives to contend with. There was a whole lot of crap going on. The fights and arguments were just starting. This must have made Delia incensed with madness. This made her so mad that now she made haunting her living, although she was as dead as a door nail. She sure knew how to do it well.

My brother Mike bought my mother’s house thru the estate. He bought out my Cousin Mary’s share and my share. He moved into the house and he renovated it from cellar to second story. My brother and his wife did everything to the house. My brother’s father-in-law was a former contractor and he was architect and builder of every project in the house. The house was thirtyfive years old so the house did have some age on it. I would say about a year after the house was fully remodeled. The problems started on Christmas Eve the upstairs bathroom toilet started to leak and drip excessively. The entire Christmas day the toilet continued to leak. My brother Mike called Kirk the Plumber to replace the toilet. He put a brand new toilet in that bathroom, but the toilet like it had its own mind or possessed continued to leak and leak. Lorrie my sister-in-law called Kirk back because the toilet was still leaking. Kirk the plumber, that’s what everyone called him, told Mike and my sister-in-law Lorrie that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the toilet. They at first could not make sense of it, but then the leaking and dripping just stop suddenly a week later. Mike and Lorrie thought maybe there were some other problems with the pipes. Kirk came back and checked out all the plumbing in the entire house. He gave it a good bill of health. ”There are no leaks he said”.

To be continued.
