Chapter 1

Autumn sat looking out the window as Adam flirted with Elli the snobbish next door neighbor. She went to their high school and ignored Adam, it was like her mission in life and it annoyed me the most. Adam was everything, kind, gentle, funny, protective, a good listener...snorting i turned back to put away more laundry. he only listened to some things...i put away the last of his shirts and opened his underwear drawer and shrieked. i dropped the underwear in the drawer and slammed it closed. he was in for it. Condoms. his parents hated the things. and he had three boxes! shuddering i opened the front door and called him. he looked around at me and glared but when i lifted my chin in defiance he walked over. "what munchkin?" he asked folding his very nicely sculpted arms. i glared right back. "why do you have three boxes of condoms in your dresser?!?! you know your pa-" "Autumn! how do you even know what those are ? and what were you doing in my dresser?!!" Autumn sighed and rubbed her head. "i'm fourteen adam..not twelve...my dad had tons of 'em all over teh place...i was in your room and dresser because your mom asked me to put away clothing while she was at the store!" Adam shook his head. "you don't understand..." he stormed past me and up the stairs. seconds later his door slammed shut and the shudder ran through the house. I smiled brightly hiding the tension when Momma Dottie parked in teh drive and stumble dout with groceries. "help me dear?" i ran out to the car to help her. "of course!"

Chapter 2

Autumn sighed as she lugged groceries into the house. Adam's music was blasting the house when she stepped through the door and headed toward the kitchen. She trudged through the house her arms getting tired till she set the bags down on the table, then started unpacking the bags and putting things away. Adam's mother Dottie came in her arms full of more bags of groceries. "autumn dear...please go up and talk to adam please...he seems in a bad mood today.." i looked at her and crossed my arms over my chest. "what made you notice? the loud music or the fact that my eyes are full of tears!" Momma Dottie sighed. "hes seeing her again..?" I rubbed away a tear. and nodded my head slowly.
