I reared, I felt the whip come down hard on my side. Every second of daylight working. Whenever I slowed, whenever I faltered, I felt the whip on my back. It struck hard, it wanted to hurt, it never failed to. Tonight I decided, that I wanted that to end. I pawed at the ropes that kept me bound. I only needed to be free. Pawing and tugging, I got out of my hobbles. There was no barrier, I galloped to freedom. I ran until I was safe from the man with the whip. I ran towards my new home.
