A Man's POV

I always believe that this world is a cruel place, where no matter what you did to get to the top you will always end up at the bottom. I used to live in the darkness where monsters are, nobody is sane, even me. I like it here, no can bother or even hurt me. I kept myself isolated until YOU came.

I was taking a stroll at the park enjoying the peacefulness until YOU approached me. YOU told me your name and asked mine. YOU befriend me, for once I let my, invisible barrier that is caging me, down. We became good friends. Our relationship grew, You became my lover.

YOU became my light that lighten , my dark world, made me sane, like a human again. I never thought that I will love someone that's opposite of me, YOU loved a monster like me. I can't even love myself so why can you?

I'm waiting for you at your favorite restaurant that you always begged me to go, You're late, but You're never late. I was planning to marry YOU since it's been two years now.

I went to the old apartment that we both shared, thinking that you overslept, I decided to make you a meal in bed. I make my way towards the bedroom that we once shared. I was gonna wake YOU up but I realize there's another human figure sleeping beside YOU.

I carefully pulled the duvet. My thoughts were right after all. The light that I thought, will always be there for me was only temporary. The heart that was once full of love shattered into pieces, Tears begun to find my eyes but I refuse to let it fall.

Sadness slowly left me while Insanity slowly consume me. I held the butter knife that I brought with me; Walking straight towards the figure laying beside my lover, without hesitation I slit his throat while covering his mouth to prevent waking my lover.

I let the darkness consume me until I feel numb, In a flash I cut the heart of MY LIGHT. I held her heart in my hand, watching her face, showing regret. I slowly lift the pumping organ to my lips; I took a bite savoring the red liquid that was inside the body of my now dead lover.

I was once in the Darkness, I found my way through the Light but no matter what I do, Darkness will still find a way to consume me...
