“The library is a magical place you know. One that can entrance a reader and eliminate the wonders of the world. When I first stepped into your Aunt’s library a whole new world opened up and now it’s your turn. Your great and passed away and in that passing left me the only thing I ever yearned for, the books. These works of great power held more than words in the pages. They held the key into which I could understand many worlds. Not only was I able to grasp the insights into fiction but I also could see much more clearly into the reality that your generation grasps onto so firmly. Now it’s time for you as I did to step through the doors to the fabric of the world of insight that digs it’s roots in firmly to our reality while at the same time reaching it’s branches out to the nether regions beyond.”
No where are they were are my books. The magic, the wonder, it’s all gone away and and why am I dressed in a hospital gown. Where’s my daughter! “Elizabeth where are you why did they take you” I shouted with tears streaming down my face. Where did it all go this isn’t right it’s not what I wanted. I want to be with my books. A person in a white lab coat in walking to see me crying huddled on the floor. Maybe he knows where my books are where my Elizabeth is what happened to me. “ Please where are they?! I need them back! I need her back! Where are my books?! Where is my Elizabeth! Please! Please! PLEASE!” I scream in anguish.
“Now Miss Kathryn we’ve talked about this before. Your daughter is in New York. I’m sure she’ll visit soon,” the lab coat man said like this was something he said a lot.
“And my books” I chocked out feebly through tears.
“They were sold to private collectors years ago. We couldn’t take them and you forgot how to read a wile ago so it doesn’t matter anyway,” he said turning my world into agony,”but at least your so lucky to be surviving this long with your disease. Your a trooper”
As my life turned into a meaningless void I began to wonder if I’ld ever read again but then I thought back on my life and wondered if I’ld ever got around to living. Well I guess I have a perfect opportunity to try.
