and pigs scream, so they rode over to the barn and went inside.

"Alright come out of there, you have no place to run," asked Frankie?
So it came out.

"What are you soon here kid, did someone send you to kill us," asked Billy?

"What's your name boy, “asked Henry?
Lone Wolf had a flash back of the time Billy asked that to Red Bear, he shook it off.

"Never mind the name, what are you doing here," asked Lone Wolf walking up to the boy?

Billy walked beside Lone Wolf and put his hand across Lone Wolfs chest making Lone Wolf step back a little.

"We'll I um....," paused the boy.

"You what, come on kid we don't have all day," Lone Wolf getting angry.

"I read about you in the papers, I heard you guys came back in town so I've been sleeping and hiding out in your barn," said the boy.

"Why didn't you come out when I was there," asked Lone Wolf angrily.

"You had a gun," said the boy.

"You wasted your time here, go back to where ever you came from kid, your too soft, you can’t look somebody in the eye and kill them, so go home kid," said Lone Wolf.

"My name is not kid, its Josh," said Josh.

"WHATEVER," shouted Lone Wolf in an angry voice and walked away.

"I want to be remembered like Jessie James, Billy the kid, Hombre the half-bred Indian, Doc Holiday," said Josh.

"That's nice kid, but you’re not killing material, go home," said Billy.

"Wait, you guys aren't afraid of anything, everybody fears you, I want that," said Josh.

"Kid you’re going to get shot at in different towns, people are going to fight you or pick a fight, and shoot you off guard," said Bob.

"You guys can teach me how to shoot, and I'll use my Indian techniques that my father would teach me," said Josh.

"I don't know he is, he's younger than Red Bear was when he joined," said Billy.

"You guys were young when you started this gang, we can use him as bate," said Henry.

"That would be good for the runt," said Frankie going to the house.
Lone Wolf herd what the kid said about being Indian.

"You’re not an Indian, you’re a want to be Indian, just because you have long hair and you say anybody can say their Indian it doesn't mean you’re an Indian, we don't need you," said Lone Wolf.

"We'll they want me, I am to an Indian," said Josh.
Lone Wolf got up and got right into Josh's face and said,

“Indians come from India, Apache runs this gang, you’re not welcomed here, I didn't invite you," said Lone Wolf angry.

"Lone Wolf walk it off," asked Henry?

"This want to be white boy is not one of us, he is to soft, what if something happens to him and we came keep our eyes on him and he gets killed cause he didn't pay attention, I am not going to be responsible for you kid if something happens to you," said Lone Wolf walking out the door.
Henry walked outside and looked up at the moon.

"What is with you today, this is a side of you I haven't seen in a long time," asked Henry concerned?

"That white boy is not joining," said Lone Wolf.

"We do need him, he's young, extra eyes," said Henry.

"I had a flash back of Red Bear when he first joined," said Lone Wolf.

"Red Bear was a good friend, a good Indian, but that boy in there wants to be noticed and remembered, I thought you would give him a chance," asked Henry?

"You thought wrong, I don't want him here, I don't want him near me, if he says anything stupid I am out of here, I'll go back to Fort Apache and let the blue coats handle me," said Lone Wolf going down the steps.

"He is going to be with us whether you like it or not, I don't want any trouble from you or him, understand," asked Henry?

"Yes father, there won't be any trouble I am not staying here I am sleeping in the barn," said Lone Wolf walking out to the barn.

"Oh no you’re not, you’re staying under the same roof as Josh even if it kills you, come on we're all going to sit and eat," Henry grabbing Lone Wolf by the arm.

Chapter 6

So Lone Wolf and Henry walked inside and sat down at the table, Frankie was still cooking.

"So Josh were you born here in Montana, whets your parents," asked Billy?

"Yes I was born and raised here, both my parents died a few years ago when I was little," said Josh.

"Oh sorry about that," said Billy.

"You shouldn't have asked Billy," said Henry.

"It's okay, he didn't know," said Josh.

"Let's eat," said Frankie bringing the food to the table.

"Good, I am starving," said Billy.
They started eating.

"Mm, this is excellent, better than it was a few years ago," said Billy

“It’s the same," said Frankie.

"It's good," said Billy stuffing his face.

"Yes it is very good," said Josh.

"We'll I am glad you like it kid," said Frankie.

Lone Wolf didn't eat, he just starred at Josh. Finally Lone Wolf got up from the table and went outside to the barn and rode his horse to the carrel. The moon was very bright so you could see outside. So he watched his horse gallop and made the dust fly.

"Did I do something wrong," asked Josh?

"No, Lone Wolf is a hard headed Indian, he has been that way, but never mind him, just keep eating," said Lone Wolf.

Henry got up from the table and went outside and sat down on the porch and watched Lone Wolf. Lone Wolf jumped into the carrel and petted his paint horse; Lone Wolf looked back and saw Henry sitting on the porch

Chapter 7

As Lone Wolf stormed out of the hotel he jumped on his horse and rode to the woods and got off his horse and sat down on a rock he was in an opened area trees on both sides. He looked up at the clear skies and saw an Eagle.

"You’re lucky to be free, nobody can take your home, they can't change you, but to be a two legged they can change you, they can take everything, your home, your land, your children, your wives, your language, and your way of life. You are lucky Eagle," said Lone Wolf.
Lone Wolf got up and turned and saw a "tsetsoye" (bear) in Apache language. Lone Wolf slowly walked towards it and sat down. The bear walked towards Lone Wolf and sat down, he thought that was very strange.

"Lone Wolf "anosoptan, an petukin" (listen, the day) in Lakota language. Is not over, I am your "cola" (friend) in Lakota language. Why are you so hard on the boy, do not hurt him like you almost did Henry," said Red Bear in the Lakota language.

"How did you know that," asked Lone Wolf?

"Henry told me the "kapi" (story) in Lakota language. When we saved you from that fort, let him be somebody, he admires you and hopes to learn something from you," said Red Bear.

"I can't, I just feel different around him, when he is near me I want to bash his head in," said Lone Wolf.

"Your native instincts are coming back, you’re not moving forward only backwards towards the past. You need to forget about the past, times are changing, and there is nothing you or Henry can do about it. Give it time, you will see things change and get better, just give it time," said Red Bear.

"What if something happens to the boy, I'm not going to be responsible if he can't keep up, I am older and wiser than he is, he looks like he could be my son or brother," said Lone Wolf.

"Patience Lone Wolf, it will get better you'll see," said Red Bear turning around.

"Wait, when will it get better," asked Lone Wolf?

"You will see," said Red Bear turning around and heading deep into the forest.

Lone Wolf turned around and faced his horse and then jumped on it and rode back to Frankie's house, it was dark and everybody was in bed. Lone Wolf went to the barn and put his horse up, he heard somebody walking so he quickly turned and it was Henry.

"Lone Wolf," said Henry.

"Henry," said Lone Wolf.

"Where you been its late," asked Henry?

"Near the mountains," said Lone Wolf.

"What did you find," asked Henry smiling?

"Why are you smiling like that," asked Lone Wolf?

"You found something didn't ya," asked Henry?

"Yes," said Lone Wolf.

"Good," said Henry.

"I don't know, I was fine on my own and now I am being.....

"A bad Indian boy who is going on the war path again," said Henry.

"Yes," said Lone Wolf.

"Come on let go inside," said Henry.

So they walked inside and Henry gave him something to eat and ate. Then they started talking and finally cleaned up their mess and went upstairs to bed. Lone Wolf laid down in his bed and looked out the window and back at Josh. He got out of bed and put one of Red Bears pistol on top of the pillow next to him,

Chapter 8

Early morning Lone Wolf got up before Josh did, he came down to the kitchen and went outside started walking some horses around the carrel. Everybody starts to wake up. Josh woke up with a gun on his pillow. He picked it up and walked towards the window and looked down at Lone Wolf watching him walk with the horses around the carrel. He put his clothes on and ran downstairs and out the door Josh jumped on his horse bare back and rode to the forest into the mountains.

Henry smiled as he watched Josh ride hard into the forest. Josh stopped his horse and yelled like
