This is one of my first exercises at a writing class as well as more of a short story, through Writer's Studio. It was a lot of help with fresh ideas, and learning many styles of writing. I hope you enjoy it, and please be honest about your critiques. So that I will continue improving, and do some editing along the way.

Also there are other short stories as well from my literture class as a self-bio pieces. Some poetic, some are snippets of memories.

I'll probably reorganize the chapters a little later, so if it's confusing at first, I'll fix it soon, you don't have to wait though, since each is like it's own seprate piece.

Here' the excerise (aka.preamble) that sparked the idea:

Writer's Studio
June 2012

Preamble: Creating a first-persona narrator that is based on a younger version of myself. A specific moment in my life; age, setting, and season. Try to reveal something about the narrator; wishes, desires, hurts, and conflicts. Focus on technique and the freedom the voice gives you. Think about the tone of my narrator, not so much mood, but how to separate the two of them.

What would you do if you were a little kid, and didn't understand what was happening. What would you do if you thought three deaths were your fault. If you were older you wouldv'e known, right? Well guilt is not a feeling you can leave behind. Next book Fire.

Alicia Morgenstern is 17. After her mom died in a car crash, her dad starved himself and died. Alice was adopted by a kind couple, and they lived in peace together-until they moved. When Alice meets Claire and Bryce, her world changes forever. Doomsday is coming fast, and her friends both suddenly disappear. Then Alice is kidnapped, and the truth is revealed.

Brian Buckley comes face-to-face with the apocalypse. He's the last human on Earth. Now he gets to see who's running things behind the scenes.

It is the end of the world. Emily and Craig are battling for their life. They feel powerless as mother nature is deystorying their whole planet. The sun is slowly moving towards the Earth.

Fifty years ago, scientists found out that the earth was slowing down little by little, every year slowing down so that 1 minute is knocked off the day. They found out that in 50 years and 2 months the world would abruptly stop and all living things on Eath would die. Spaceships were rapidly made to send humans to Pluto. Civilians were not alerted until 1 month before they leave...two months before Earth would stop. This is the story of a brother and 2 sisters who are accidentally left behind and their story of survival...

Danika, a young teenager, can't wait to have kids. So what does she do? She buys baby dolls. They are her "toys" she claims. Something about them makes her mom feel uneasy...
