It is not easy growing up in a miliary school orphanage. Harder still if you are a Tarrn. And like in all schools, bullying is a problem. Children are, after all, the most vicious toward one another--especially when the teacher is not looking.
"Karen left and headed for a nearby coffee bar – the tension that had built up because of the money, because she was tackling something big in her life, had drained away gradually in Miss Matheson's office – she had seemed so professional, didn’t ask nosy questions about her or her money. Sure, she needed her name, date of birth, what she knew of her mother and other details like that, but not questions loaded with emotion, just factual.
Karen felt a sense of power, something was happening and she had initiated it. She felt a little high"
It's a work in progress, so there are different scenes spiratically placed but I hope to get it finished!
Ryden, an orphaned boy turns to the wrong people for help in his life. He too soon learns that those whom he trusted have betrayed him and he is asked to do something he never thought he would do in his life.
Kara, the loved princess of her kingdom, gets taken from her family and sets out on a journey far beyond her wildest imagination.
The two grow closer through trial and tribulation and learn what true love really is.
Rosemarie lived an ordinary life for someone who lived in 2045 well at least she did till she came across a girl in the park. Her run was cut short and she took the girl, Anne, home when she learned that she was an orphan. All thou Anne was alone she was quick to open up to Rosemarie and the two became close. Finding Anne’s diary and learning about her past Rosemarie made a decision that would change both their lives for the better.
(I entered this book in a scenario writing competition and got fourth in state in 2010)
Well, pay no attention to the sloppy writing style and the fast-pace. I wrote this a year and a half ago and i have no intention of continuing the story line. (unless its demanded). Enjoy!
