Something is lurking in Vanity Woods.
Jane never knew her boyfriend was an agent. She never knew he had a partner that just wouldn't do. She never knew he would shoot her too.
What left Ricky frightened to the bones? and what really happened that night when he visited the cemetery?
The next time Lucy woke it was to the burning sensation in her arm, she opened her eyes expecting it to be pitch black, but to her surprise the room was lit with what seemed to be a million tiny candles all in a circle surrounding the bed. About the same time she registered the candlelight she also found out that her hands were tied to the bedpost, same with her feet. The burning in Lucy’s arm increased, she looked down to see that she had two shallow cuts on her right arm and there standing by her right side was Katie.
Everybody is insane in their own way, but some take it above and beyond. In this story, 5 teenagers fight off mental disorders. Janelle deals with the pain of hating herself and finds relief with her blade. Logan sees and hears things that aren't there... as does his twin brother. Kylie's very identity changes within her mind, causing her to do things that she will never remember. Westley finds that the only way out of his life is through death. Alicia deals with her self-image and struggles with self-starvation.
In her dreams the house called to her, but now she was begining to hear the voices when she was awake. Lucy Farlow, a young and bright sixteen year-old finds herself being welcomed by unwelcomed guests of the spirit world. The red barn fills her thoughts and the screams of the tortured haunt her dreams. She walks the narrow path to the abandond farm in search of an answer to clear her mind of this place forever, but what she does not know that once she steps foot on the very land of the farm it will never let her go.
