A blue balloon gets loose and wanders around through some very short stories that look, superficially, like poems. They are meant mostly for adults, but they should be ok for kids as well. The stories were told to the author by a not-very-powerful god that lives in the trees between the branches and the air in the light before sunset. This particular not-very-powerful god isn't much interested in teaching anybody anything, just telling some very short stories. While the stories certainly aren't traditionally religious, they do contain some traditional religious references and rabbits.
Aislin and Akahi are sisters, born to a rich household. Their parents are magical beings of high status, well they were ... before they were murdered.
The girls have only known the life of a rich girl, so when their world is torn into absolute chaos, how will they survive living in fear of the terrible destiny that awaits them?
They must fight for what they believe in, meeting many foes as their true journey begins ... and a certain group of vampires, who seem to know why they have been chosen to destroy the evil that wishes to tear them apart.
And remember ... Look to the light for guidance.

I have 2 evil stepbrothers and our family goes through a hurricane then we see the headless horseman- and I'll stop there. This is my l life when I begin walking the yellow brick road.
