Penguin and Whale by Rookie Burwick (red queen free ebook .txt) 📖

Another one of Penguin and Whale's adventures was "Penguin's Friend."

One day Penguin was walking along the beach when Whale swam up.

"Hi Whale!" Penguin said. "What are you doing today?"

"Well, Penguin, I have to head off to the South Border waters with Manny the Dolphin for a few days," Whale replied.

"Aww, you won't be able to play?"

"I'm afraid not. I must be starting off, bye Penguin!" Whale turned around and swam away.

Penguin was sad that he had no one to swim and play with. He hoped he could find someone else to play with. When Penguin was resting on the sand later that day, another penguin walked up.

"Hello," The little penguin said. "My name is Fred, what's yours?"

"Hello there, my name is Penguin"

"I have no friends, will you play with me?" Fred asked.

"Sure!"

Penguin had a new friend. He and Fred walked along the beach and told each other about themselves, and became better friends every second.

"Woul you like to take a swim?" Penguin asked.

"Certainly!"

So, Penguin and Fred dove into the cold water. They swam down to the reef where there was a whole bunch of fish, turtles and a group of jellyfish. Penguin waved at the jellyfish as they passed.

Fred and Penguin swam on through the reef, talking about how pretty it was, and Penguin told Fred about Whale, and how he was gone for a day. Fred hoped to meet Whale.

The next day, when Whale came back, Penguin introduced him to Fred, and they all took a swim together.
