/> Zach: “At least it didn’t squirt you in the face.”

Me: “True. Lets get back to work.”

Zach: “You’re a warrior.”

I put down the pliers and grabbed the scissors. I cut the frogs stomach. I handed the scissors to Zach and he cut the frogs heart.

Me: “This is actually fun.”

Zach: “I’ve never had a partner that had this much fun dissecting a frog.”

Me: “It is fun but yeah I’m not normal.”

Zach: “Ha ha.”

I grabbed the frogs leg and broke it. Zach grabbed it’s arm and broke it.

Teacher: “Start cleaning class is almost over.”

Me and Zach went and threw our frog away and washed all our tools and the table. We washed our hands and put all our things in our bags.

Zach: “That was fun.”

Me: “I know. That was cool.”

Zach: “What class do you have next?”

Me: “Math.”

Zach: “Me too but we probably don’t have the same math class since you’re a freshman and I’m a sophomore.”

Me: “I have advanced math.”

Zach: “Oh then you do have it with me. Come on then.”

We walked out into the hallway and then we walked up the stairs to go to the math room. On the way there I saw Jesse.

Me: “Hey Jesse.”

He looked over to see who it was.

Jesse: “Oh hey Dawn what’re you doing?” he said while walking over to me

Me: “Just walking to math.”

Jesse: “You have math next? So do I.”

Me: “Cool. Oh Jesse this is Zach he’s my partner in science.”

Jesse: “Hi.”

Zach: “Hey.”

I could feel the tension in the air. The bell rang and we all walked into class. I went and sat down. I was surprised when Jesse sat next to me.

Me: “Hey.”

Jesse: “Hey I didn’t think you had sophomore English.”

Me: “English is one of my best subject.”

Jesse: “Mine too. But world studies is my worst.”

Me: “I know. I don’t think there’s a point in it. It’s not like I’m ever going to use it in the real world.”

Jesse: “ I feel the same way.”

I smile and then he smiled. We had a lot in common and it didn’t hurt that he was smoking hot.

The rest of the day was a bore. FINALLY the bell rung signally that the day was over. I hope out of my seat so fast you'd think I was having a spaz attack. I ran out of the class room door. As soon as I did I sighed in relief and started walking toward the bus dock. I saw my bus and got on it and waited for Jeremih to get on. He got on followed by some of his friends. My eyes landed on Jesse and when he saw that I noticed him he smiled and I smiled back. Jeremih came and sat next to me.

"Hey Sis'." Jeremih said

"Hey Bro."

"How was your first day?" He asked

"Great, I made some new friends. Everybody refers to me as 'Jeremihs kid sister'. How are you so popular?" I asked

Jeremih shrugged. "I'm hot."

"Sure you are." I said sarcastically

"I am. I mean come on look at me. I'm a sexy beast." He said giving one of his friends a high five. I rolled my eyes and looked out the window.

"Dawn?" Someone asked bringing me back to reality

"Huh?" I asked

"You wanna go to the movies tonight?" Jeremih asked

"Yeah. What time?" I asked

"4:00." He replied

"Sure." Then the bus stop at our stop and Jeremih got p then me.

"Bye guys see you at 4." Jeremih said to his friends

"Bye Jeremih, bye Dawn." They said

"Bye." I said to them

Jeremih and I got off the bus and started walking home.

"I never asked but how was your day?" I asked Jeremih

"It was alright. Pretty boring though. Did you like your classes?" He asked

"Yeah but sophomores are obnoxious." I stated (No offense to any sophomres that are reading this; I am one.)

"Why what happened?" He asked anxiously

"Nothing just this Gus kid saying sophomores can't date freshman."

"Gus Shaw?" He asked

"Yeah."

"Stay away from him. He's trouble." He said while he stopped walking and turned towards me. He was always protective with me about guys but he was never this serious.

"Okay I'll stay away from him." I said

He nodded and we started walking again. When we got to the house mom wasn't there but I wasn't suprised she's never home. Jeremih's basically raised me ever since my dad left. After he left my mom changed she started staying out late, bringing different guys home very night. My dad left when Jeremih and I were seven. We still don't know why he left mom won't tell us. I think it's because he found a different girl but Jeremih doesn't care about the reason he's just mad because when my dad left he took apart of me with him, and I've never gotten the part back. Even when we were younger Jeremih was protective he didn't like anyone to hurt me but what could he do when it was your family that hurt you? I haven't seen my dad since he left. He doesn't call, email anything. When he left Jeremih tried to stay strong for me but everyone needs a shoulder to cry on and he was there for me so I was there for him. I told him that every once in a while everyone has to cry. He told me that he didn't feel sad that he left but I know my brother and I told him he didn't have to be so strong and tough. A break down was bound to happen and when it did I was there for him. He kept asking why did dad leave us. For that question I didn't have a reason and I don't think I ever will.

"Dawn you okay?" Jeremih asked me

"Huh? Oh, yeah I'm good."

"You sure?"

"Yeah." I said

He nodded and I went upstairs to my room. I put my bag on my bed and walked out of my room to the bathroom. When I was done I walked down stairs and Jeremih was watching T.V. I sat next to him and grabbed the remote. I turned it to the soccer channel.

"Change it back Dawn!" Jeremih yelled

"No basketball is stupid." I said simply

"And soccer isn't?!" He asked/yelled

"No soccer is the best sport known to man!" I yelled back

"How? You kick a fucking ball back and forth!"

"So, in basketball you bounce a fucking ball back and forth!" I said mimicking him. "Oooh big woop, anyone can do that. It takes mad skill to kick a ball so shut your face!" I get really mad when he bashes soccer

"Did you just cuss?!" He asked astonished

"Yeah, I do it all the time..." I said calming down

"Oh my God! My little sister is growing up!" He yelled while scooting over to me and then hugged me.

"Eeew get off me!" I screeched at him. "And I am NOT your little sister you idiot. We're the same age. Now get off!"

He leaned back.

"Ah, they grow up so fast." He said while fake sniffling and his eyes pricking with tears

"You're so weird." I said looking at him weirdly
