The night started out fine.
The Minx's were eating dinner, and having some family time. Mr. Minx looked at his wife wondering if he should tell her what has been going on with his work, and to tell her that they would have to let their son be taken from them for just a little while not much.
Mrs.Minx looked to her husband and smiled.
" So how was work dear?" she asked, it was usually the first thing she would ask him.
"It goes well," he grunted, then looked at their son Emrys, he was seven.
"Is there anything you want to tell me?"
"Yes actu-"
Suddenly their front door was kicked down, Mr. Minx stood up, and ran to the opening of their house. Men walked in with big guns, behind them another man walked up and stood there looking at Mr.Minx who was looking at him wide eyed.
"Harry! What is the meaning of this?" Mr. Minx shouted, he was getting angry. The man named Harry just gave him a slight smile.
"Kill them all," Harry snapped his fingers, signalling the men to start firing at the Minx's. Mr. Minx narrowed his eyes at Harry who started walking away.
" Daddy," Mr. Minx heard his son say," Wha- whats going on?"
"Run!" Mr. Minx shouted at his son.
The boy froze unable to move as he looked at them men with big guns," Daddy?"
"Go!" he shouted as the father got shot in the head, he fell and that was that.
Mrs. Minx ran in the living room as she did she also got shot, blood was everywhere. All that was left of the Minx family was the little boy. The child turned around, and ran through the house hoping that he could get to the back door so that he could get away and not be killed like his parents were. He was frightened , but he just kept running as he got out side he sprinted out of the yard and into the streets.
The boy ran into an ally, and found a box that he crawled into. Soon he fell asleep in the box trying to keep warm.
When he awoke again he saw in the distance the sun rising.
It was seven years after Emrys' parents were killed in cold blood, and he had watched them being killed. He still remembered the whole thing clearly after all this time, he hasn't forgiven the any of them. He's held the anger toward those men since then.
The lands and all countries were run by an evil king and queen, no one liked them at all they made others lives a living hell. Everything was destroyed when the chemical got out, instead of helping people it actually mutated the people who got near the places where it got lose. It still has slowly turned people, making them strange creatures that alot of people stayed away from thinking that the infected would infect them. It may be possible that would happen, but no one is really sure about that so they just stay away from them. There are four different kinds of infected the deaders, Semies, Treivens, and Ivenors.
Some people try to train them and put them into fights with other trainers to watch them kill each other piece by piece. It is very gruesome , and these are never stopped because there isn't a government anymore.
When things start to get out of hand some people will call assassins to go in and kill the people who are the trainers, trying to kill off the black market. There are also slave sellers that people call and pay the assassins to kill also.
People still haven't called an assassin to kill off the Monarch so everything would be so much better around here.
Emrys himself has seen the kind execute people for just the fun of it, never giving the people a reason for killing them. The king just likes bloodshed, which is wrong.
Emrys missed everything about his old life how it was so kind to him, and that his parents were still alive. He would watch cared pass in front of his house when a sitter was over, and didn't want to play with him. He missed that.
Now that he's on the streets everyone stares at him because of his odd colored green eyes which were also to big, he also had a wide mouth, and fiery red hair that was coated over with black dirt from living on the streets.
When he was in first grade he was thought to be a trouble student because of his recklessness ways that his parents didn't care that he had, but instead he was reasonably well behaived though people would blame him for thing he didn't do, and he would get in trouble.
His education ended there when his parents were killed, he hated that and he promised himself that when he got strong enough and old enough he would find the men that killed them and kill them.
Emrys had figured out how to pickpocket by many failed attempts and success attemps, he also was able to steal thing from counter tops that had food that people sold, and he was usually never seen. He has never gotten sick so far in living on his own, but he has been freezing cold. He was now fourteen.

Emrys looked up and saw that the sun was rising like the first day he knew he was alone for good. He got to his feet and started walking toward the market place. He felt his stomach growling, he looked down at it then patted it with his hand. Thinking that he needed to get some food, he has been going hungry for three days because of no luck in getting food.
He glanced around the market place seeing as to which place he could easily steal from. He sighed in annoyance as he could only see that the fruit place was the only one that didn't have about one million people at it.
Before any would could notice him he ducked down, and crept his way to the fruit stall. As he did this he felt as if someone was spying on him, he disliked this feeling so he better do this fast he thought.
Emrys waited till the man that was the owner of this fruit stall looked away, and when he did the red head grabbed an apple. He slipped it in his pocket, the man still wasn’t looking so Emrys thought to grab another fruit. He was starving after all , and this fat man didn’t need all of this food. Before the boy could grab another fruit the owner finally spotted him,” you boy,” the fat man said addressing him,” What do you think you’re doing there,”
Most kids would run, but Emrys didn’t, he desided to play it off cool like nothing at all happened and he didn’t take anything.
“Sir, I was just sitting down,” Emrys said politely trying to calm down the man. The fat man nodded.
“Very well, be on your way now,” he said,” I don’t want some kid stealing my things,”
“Yes, sir,” The kid said, and waited till the man grunted and turned around so that he could take something else.
When the boy reached out to grab another fruit someone grabbed his arm, and pulled him backwards into the crowd making sure they were concealed from being seen by the officers that were walking about.
Emrys peered behind himself to see who this person was that had no right to handle him like this, he was starting to get angry, but his anger vanished when he saw an assassin, but now any it was Jorek flock. One of the most famous and the youngest of all of them. Jorek yanked Emrys’s arm to make him go closer to him.
“Leave boy,” Jorek said,” I don’t want to see you causing trouble again,”
Emrys just nodded, and walked off into the street with everyone else.

The next day Emrys decided to go back to the marketplace again, this time, he would make sure he surveyed his surroundings before he took something because he didn’t want to run into the assassin again.
He noticed that the place where all of the bread was didn’t have any one at it this time, he smiled maybe this time he would get a good tasting breakfast. So like he did before he ducked into the crowd and crept to the stand, he glanced up at the woman who was working there to see if she was looking. She wasn’t , he was glad. Emrys grabbed a roll of bread then looked in a dark corner , and saw that Jorek was observing his actions. The boy sighed and stuffed the roll in his pocket, he crept away from the stand when he was far enough he started sprinting out of the market. He could hear soft footsteps behind him trying to catch up with him. Quickly he took a right into an ally, he knocked over some garbage cans , he peered ahead. There was a fence, he swore under his breath. Emrys glanced back, he saw the old man coming up on him. The boy shook his head, he narrowed his eyes then ran at the fence, in doing so he jumped and grabbed the top bar of the fence, and quickly did a flip over the bar. He landed in a crouch, he stood , and started sprinting once again.
Suddenly he ran into an old woman.
“S-sorry,” he said, he inspected the road, it was full of people. He should’ve known better, there was always so many people on this road. As he thought about this he felt a hand land on his shoulder, he jumped.
“You’re good, but not good enough,” Jorek said tightening his grip on the redheads shoulder.
Emrys elbowed the old man in the stomach, he jumped away from him. He gave a smile to the assassin. “Ah,Is the old man tired,” the boy taunted.
The boy turned and tripped a man which made the man run into someone else. Kind of like dominos. Emrys escaped the assassin for now, but he was pretty sure the old man would try to find him so he kept on his pace trying to make in out of the city before he caught up to him.
Emrys was almost out
