It Was An Accident

I just

wanted you

to know

it was

an

accident

my glass of milk

your computer

I’m sorry

let me remind you

it was an

accident

you know

accidentally

walking to close

accidentally

tipping my milk

but I learned

how computers

work

It was an

education

in itself

the holes

in the computer

can’t get filled

with milk

it will

sparkle and fizz

crackle and spark

as it died

it’s lifeless shell

left on the table

don’t shake your fists

don’t tear out your hair

I bet you could

buy another one

Maybe

Patchwork Quilt

threads

fabrics

colors

light

laughter

warmth

cold

night

steaming

chocolate

dried

tears

calling

me

year

after

year

dusty

cabinet

worn

trunk

bundle

of

hope

in

my

arms

cuddles

a

baby

gives

warmth

to

the

sick

my

patchwork

quilt

My Perfect Planet

I don’t want to be,

under the sea,

or flying in a space ship too

but somehow, some way

I’m sitting here today

I press a few buttons

rise into the air and

watch the disappear with despair

I’m here on a mission to save mankind

from pollution, global warming,

and ozone layer trouble

Zooming through the atmosphere

not sure if my objective is clear

I’m to find a planet

suited for us

It’s taken three years

to find, now it’d here

It’s My Perfect Planet

It’s My Perfect Planet

that will save our race

It’s like earth’s twin

it’s a huge win

It’s our fresh new start

We’ll give it our best

What’s wrong with Earth’s

not the planet but people

If we can change

and I know we will

we’ll make it through

hand in hand

I’ve planted our flag,

and named it quite well

we’ll live on a place

Named  My Perfect Planet

Stories

A Rip in Time

People say that time machines are big old things you find in a museum. Or that in 2200 will be produced in top secret labs. In all the movies it’s a mad scientist who goes back in time or a group of kids who were just playing around. It’s no joke. TIme travel it real. And it’s not all that the movies say it is.

On an ordinary day, on an ordinary street, me and my best friend Lily. Sadly if everything was ordinary Lilly would still be here. And she’s not. Looking back we were just silly girls with silly dreams. We had just seen Back to the Future 2  and were pondering over the thought of time travel. “I wish we could go to the future.” I said gazing at the sunset. Then a single leaf detached itself from it’s anchor and landed on my hand. When Lily tried to grab it and both our hand where touching the first leaf of fall we disappeared.

There was no way to describe what I felt in those few brief seconds. It was almost as if being shocked or electrocuted except a hundred times more painful. No excruciating. I could feel the electricity flowing through my body. I hit the ground and felt a searing pain. Not as bad as before but still awful. The ground was on fire. Everything was. Our oak tree, Bob, we were sitting beneath just a minute ago had flames eating away at the bark I had run my hands over time after time after time. The bench had already been reduced to ashes. A faded sign that said L b rt  2983  was almost gone.

I turned around just in time to see Lily, crumple to the ground, the leaf fluttering from her tight grip. I snatched the leaf up and closed my eyes. Please. Please. Please. I think. I start to cry and hold Lily’s hand for a moment until i realize what had happened when we were brought here. I press the leaf in between our hands and we shoot off. We land on crystal white tile and it takes me a moment to realize it is being stained by Lily sticky warm blood. Turning toward my best friend and can hardly recognize her with such a sickly pale color to her instead of her usual rosy cheeks. I checked her pulse and have to bit my tongue to keep from screaming. Dead. Just like our world. I had seen things. Horrible, horrible things. All the greed and need for power will destroy us. I tried to tell others what I saw but no one believed me. Our world will die in flames. Just like Lily
