to make this mission that easy Jason scoffed. Do you reckon what this means? Annabelle asked. I looked at the saying reading it again, something that is not much but its purposes are important I repeated. We’re leaving this thing behind and it’s not much but it’s very important to us! I exclaimed the light bulb just popped in my head. You guys know what it’s talking about? I asked them. They looked perplexed but looked at me as if I was crazy. I sucked my teeth, come on guys it’s obviously school! School…school that’s right! Annabelle hissed. We have found where to go first Jason grinned. Here I said grabbing a pen from the cup on my desk. I quickly scribbled down the word school. Okay one down, 2 more to figure out Annabelle said confidently. The next one says “It’s blessed and holds many joyful events, though sorrow is also found in this place” Annabelle snapped her fingers and automatically said church. Right Jason said, the church held the holiday celebration and then he gulped looking at me. I sighed and my father’s funeral I muttered finishing his sentence. Okay I scribbled down the church, and it must be the nearest one here which is the Lavonia church I added. The final one, the longest one of all says “A place where you never though it would be located, somewhere that sells you some good to wake you up and it’s a nice place to hang out, and there you shall find your destination”. This ones hard I said, we can think of anyplace that we never though it would be! I said in disbelief. Our destination is the forest Jason whispered, and the place is clearly a store because it says the word “sells”. He paused studying the saying then finally said it’s a coffee shop because coffee wakes you up and it some good stuff! I got it Jason exclaimed praising himself. Yeah dumb butt you got the easy part but where do you suppose the specific coffee shop? Annabelle muttered. I was getting to that Jason retorted frowning by her remark. It’s the Dunkin Donut” shop on Pavonia, we love the place and we hang out the most there. And he gave these places because he was suggesting us the easiest route there I said reviewing all the places. Okay let’s go I said folding up the paper and carefully placing it to my bag. You guys came prepared right? I said. They both nodded. Good I said running to the bathroom and grabbing my tooth paste, brush, mouthwash and deodorant and stuffed it all in back pack. Personal hygiene is important I thought. I came out and opened my wardrobe and grab anything I found. I stuffed the clothes in my bag. And then I turned around and looked at Annabelle and Jason, let’s go I said breathlessly. They nodded and climbed down the stairs hastily. I followed them. I grabbed my coat that was lying on the sofa. When we were outside the streets were glowing from the light drizzle and it was a dark lonesome night. One of the street lamp flickered on and off. I gazed up at my house, in about a week Troy is going to come to this place and realize I am gone. Instantly this place would be filled with the cops and detective investigating the three missing teenagers. Troy would know where you were Annabelle cut in. Yea I said. I sighed deeply, this place holds too much memories I whispered glancing at the neighborhood. Jason put a hand to my shoulder we will miss it, but we have you go now he said calmly. Right I replied. We started walking out of the neighborhood and down to the square where all the malls, restaurants and stores were located. I looked around and realized my sudden affection to these places. I would really miss them. Finally after passing Cameron Park we once again stood in front of the high school. Wow I said we would leave this behind, and our friends. Yeah Jason said I wonder what they are going to think when we’re gone. I was supposed to live with Alisa I said, and now she would be really mad because she was really looking forward to having her friend since she was the only child. Well it’s good that you hadn’t Annabelle spoke grimly, that meant you had to stay with Troy. Yeah that is true I said agreeing, I still couldn’t believe Troy as being a bad doctor. Here let’s go now Jason said. From the high school we went to Lavonia church which was pretty odd because we hadn’t ever gone to Dunkin’ Donuts in this route. I felt tired, my hair was damp from the rain and the cool breeze stung my face. Wow Annabelle said the Dunkin is right there she pointed at the store across the church and 2 stores behind that held a billboard showing the letters Dunkin’ Donuts in big orange letters. Oh here we are I said. We crossed the street and headed up the street. We prayed that a police car wouldn’t come across us; everything will go horribly wrong then. A few cars passed but none of them had noticed us or if they did they just minded there own business. We’re here! Damon hissed. The Store was still well lit and it seems the store was isolated. We walked in sheepishly wondering what they would think of us. A man about 20 years-old was at the counter laying his head down on the cash register. He had a lot of freckles and big spectacles with dirty blond hair. Jason smirked this would be easy he whispered. Here let me try Annabelle said popping a stick of gum in her mouth. She walked up the counter, Excuse me Sir! She called. He wouldn’t budge instead he snored loudly. Annabelle frowned then cleared her throat excuse me sir! She yelled. What huh? The startled Cashier woke up with a fright. Annabelle smiled and chewed her gum vigorously and twirled her hair. I need more coffee he muttered to himself. What you want? He grunted crankily. We watched Annabelle with our mouths hanging open, oh my god I thought let’s not screw up. Annabelle spoke in a cool nonchalant voice. My friends and she said pointing at us, are here to have an inspection of all the stores here in Owl creek. Tom the cashier popped a gum in his mouth and chewed hard also. My manager never told me about an inspection he said scratching his head casually. Well Tom, Annabelle started you seem very nice and charming, and if you are nice enough to let us inspect this store we would sponsor this store everywhere so you guys get more customers. Trust me Tom she whispered confidently we are very trusted, and you know yourself more customers…more money. Annabelle now grinned and more money makes your manger happy and gives you a raise or should I say “a promotion”, if you let us inspect your shop it’s really helping you. Tom paused then pondered deeply to this. Then smiled you guys say that you’re here for inspecting all the restaurants? Annabelle smiled yes we are. If this place is good then you guys would sponsor it so that many people will come. Annabelle nodded and so did we precisely. Like she said before Jason said we are very trusted. Are you here alone? Annabelle asked. Yes I am Tom said. Annabelle looked really satisfied with herself. I will stay here with you asking some questions while my friends here are inspecting around. Tom nodded make it quick! He yelled my shift ends in 45 minutes. He was just glad that he would get to flirt with Annabelle. Once we got to this I went to their kitchen followed by Jason. We could here Tom laughing his guts out as Annabelle used her charm. Tom must be mesmerized Jason said smirking. I nodded that was good; I can’t believe we got to this point. The kitchen was very messy and empty. The scent of donuts hovered in the air. I scowled at Jason when he grabbed one and starting eating it. He shrugged I am hungry he said with a mouthful of Boston cream. We searched through the whole kitchen, we found nothing. Jason even searched all the bathrooms including the girls. Let’s go down to the basement I suggested almost doubtful. Both of us walked out of the kitchen door not even noticed expect for Annabelle who winked at us. We saw another door that had a sign “Basement”. So convenient I thought. Jason and I went down the steel stairs. It was packed with large boxes. Are we going to find a forest here? Jason said uncertainly. Let get to work I said. We looked all over the floor moving boxes trying to find any sort of trap door. I was so irritated! We had found nothing. I think the map is wrong I exclaimed finally sitting down on one of the boxes. We can’t give up Jason said who was still looking everywhere. Exasperated by all this searching I muttered let’s go. Jason followed me as I walked back upstairs. Annabelle was no longer there with Tom. Tom was busy inspecting his hands. Psst! Annabelle hissed. We looked around where was she? Right here she whispered from the ladies bathroom. She gave the intimation to come over there. We nodded and tiptoed to the ladies room. What happened! I said. I can’t take it anymore Annabelle cried this guy is getting more and more suspicious it’s so hard talking to him now. We couldn’t find anything either I told her. Jason who hasn’t spoke a word thought intently to him. Then he snapped his fingers I have a feeling I know where it is Jason exclaimed. Both Annabelle and I looked at him incredibly, really where! Annabelle squeaked desperately. I am not sure but something tells me that we should go to the cup board room. I made a face, why there? He shrugged, my conscious is telling me too. I rolled my eyes and then said let’s try. We slowly went to the small room In between both the ladies and men bathrooms. It was really small; all of us were smashed together and it was really uncomfortable. It was so dark that you couldn’t see yourself. I managed to find the switch. In the corner lay a mop and a yellow bucket along with brooms. The room was bright white with patches of yellow on the walls. Where now? I hissed at Jason. Jason paused inspecting the floor, walls, and ceiling. Oh this is just hopeless Annabelle complained as she leaned in the mop. This small action had done such big impact to the whole room. Abruptly the ground started to shake and rumble. What’s happening! Annabelle screamed holding on to the mop. Let that go Jason yelled. She let it go obediently. The lights started to flicker on and off. Now the whole room started to shake. What the!! I screamed. All of us screaming filled the tiny room with chaos. The shaking finally stopped. We all sighed and exchanged looks of horror mixed with flabbergast. I breathed slowly picking my self up. Quite so suddenly I felt as if we went down 1,000 feet in full speed. Like an elevator that is going 90 miles per hour! My stomach lurched, I felt as if I was going down a really steep roller coaster! Everyone was screaming and yelling again. My head was pounding amongst the commotion. I held on tightly to both Annabelle and Jason’s arms. The light flickered uncontrollably. After what seems like ages, the horrid elevator stopped with a sharp halt. I sink to the ground sitting there crumbled up like a
