Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. It was my first day of becoming a freshman in high school. While being driven by my mother on the wet, slippery roads, I was just listening to my Ipod( there’s nothing to talk about with my mother). As we drive I can’t stand to look out the window anymore because everything’s the same. Tree after tree, field after field, all of it is getting old.

“So are you nervous,” asks mother.
“No, not really. I just don’t get why we had to move.”
I hear my mother make a big sigh and then it just gets dead quiet in the car.

“Rachel, I’ve told you many times why. Now stop asking and just cooperate with me ok?”

“I know you’ve told me so many times, but I still don’t get it.”
“You do get it honey, you just don’t want to understand why.”
For the rest of the ride there, all we could hear were the tires of the car, and the puddles splashing as the car runs them over. We finally get there and the parking lot is packed with vehicles.

As we pulled in, I made a big sigh and grab my book bag. My mother looks at me and says, “Do want me to come in with you?” I look at her and say, “I don’t care. Just don’t embarrass me ok? It’s already bad enough that we moved.” I get out of the car quick and walk fast so then I’m not seen walking in with my mother. After I get into the school, I wait for my mother to finally come in too.

As I get my locker number, figure out who my homeroom teacher is I tell my mother that I can take it from here. She tries to get a picture of me but I tell her that it’s getting old. Then she looks at me like she is disappointed( even though I know she is). As I walk in, there are people flying paper airplanes and they’re throwing papers around the room. I sit down and a group of 3-5 girls just stare at me and I know that they’re talking about me too.

I just sit there and start playing with my pencil. Then the teacher walks in, yells at us and tells us to sit in our seats. The bell rings and everyone is talking so loudly like they’re trying to talk to a person who has their hearing aid off. About 3 or 4 minutes later, this group of guys walk in.
“Sorry we’re late Mrs. Ryans. We had to do some business this morning.”
She looks at them in a disgusted way and says, “And what kind of business would that be Mr. Delber?”
All of a sudden there is a dead silence, and people are looking around the room. “I will see you after class and you other boys as well.” The boys just make a quiet comment and sit down in their seats. As the Delber kid sits down, he stares at me like I have something extremely noticeable on my face. Then he finally looks away and starts talking to his “gang.” This is going to be a long day.

It became gym time when she had to change into her clothes. She didn’t want to change in front of the girls so she got her clothes and changed in the bathroom stall. They were playing dodgeball and she was the last one to get picked. Most of the girls in her class were wearing short shorts that would make the guys go crazy. When she saw them, she thought that she was going to gag. She was wearing sweatpants and a tang-top. She was always the first one to get out on her team.

After they were done playing dodgeball, they had to change and take a shower. She put here clothes on right away and bolted out the door. She went into the bathroom and put her head under the faucet. After is was soaking wet, she washed it and brushed it. She was waiting for the bell to ring when a girl comes to sit by her.

“Hey, I’m Teresa, your that Rachel girl, right?”
“Yeah, that’s me.” Teresa just looks at her for a second, and then she just starts introducing herself, then they just start talking away. The bell rings and Teresa and I are walking through the halls together just talking like friends do. Then we have Science next. When we walk in we can;t sit down because we have to sit by our partners( the teacher got to pick who we sit by).

And guess who I got to sit by, Mr. Delber. Don’t worry, I won’t have to call him Mr. Delber anymore because I will ask him what his name is today. I feel like I’m going to throw up because we are dissecting pigs, not frogs, pigs! Isn’t that gross, I just want to throw up! But we’re going to do that tomorrow though(I think I’m going to act sick tomorrow). Today in science, we get to do whatever we want like texting, talking, sliding on the slippery floor, and there’s even 2 or 3 couple who are practically making which makes me want throw up. They remind me of a squid stuck on someones face, sort of like on cartoons.

So after the bell rings, I am so happy because I know his name. His name is Dustin, Dustin Delber. It’s really weird though to have a first name and a last name that starts with the same letter. I’m walking in the hallway when Teresa walks up to me and then we start talking again. I tell her everything that we did in science, I even told her about the couples making out which also made her sick to the stomach.

“So did you talk to him at all,” she asked with a curious look on her face. “Yeah, but I only asked him what his name was and told him my name, I also told him where I moved from too.” She thinks that me and him would make a great couple( and I agree with her too).
