Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. Chapter One
"I request a human and you bring me a vampire. Surely you see your mistake," I said. I turned my cold eyes on him and I saw him shiver.
"Your Majesty, this vampire requested you presents," he said bowing at me. I turned to the shadow that hovered like a cape around me.
"Fine. Leave us alone," I said turning my eyes back to him. He scurried away and I turned my eyes to the vampire. "Do you not bow at the presents of royalty?"
He looked me in the eyes and bowed. He stood up straight and I watched him as he stared at the shadow that surrounded me.
"What brings you here, Vampire?" I asked. The shadow moved with me as I stood. My shadows hovered darkly around the room. They made a hissing sound at the vampire and I put a single finger to my lips. They silenced and I spun around in the one that never left my side.
"I have a message," he said. I looked at him and smiled. He was dressed in all black and his hair fell in his dark eyes. His wings were black and he looked very muscular.
"Is that so?" I asked. I ran and stopped when I was right in front of him. He didn't seem afraid, even though my shadow snaked around the bare skin of his neck. I grabbed his face in my hand and smiled. "What is the message?" "Chaos has returned," he said. I released his face and ran back to my throne. I sat gently and crossed my legs.
"Why is that any of my concern?" I asked coldly. He grinned a little and I gave him a questioning look.
"He wants you dead,” he said. The growl that came out of me shook the walls of the castle. The shadows began to hiss in full volume and the vampire covered his ears. I stood from my throne and balled my hands into fist. Flames circled covered them completely. Several of my servants stormed in and began waving away the vampire. He kept looking back at me.
"Find me Marcell!!!" I yelled.
"Right away my Queen," I heard someone say. I was breathing heavily and the flames from my fist were growing. I tried controlling my breathing. The shadows were flying all around the room, feeding off my anger.
"My Queen," Marcell said, bowing.
"Chaos is back and he is out for blood. Mine that it," I said finally composing myself. The flames at my hand flickered and vanished.
"What do you suggest we do?" he asked. I began pacing back and forth.
"Nothing," I answered.
'I'm not sure I follow," he said giving me a questing look.
"We do nothing. The count of greater demons is already decreasing. We cannot allow losing anymore," I said.
"That does not matter. Your life does," he said. His voice was cold and he spoke through tight lips.
'I will not let anyone die for me. Not this time," I said. I looked at him and looked away when I saw the anger on his face. For years I have known of his feelings for me but I never confronted them. I just never was attracted to him in that way. "Warn every demon here. Tell them to steer clears of every path that leads to this castle."
"I cannot do of what you ask of me to do," he said.
"That was an order," I said. I stared him in his eyes and watched him as he extended his wings. He kneeled down before me.
"I will no longer serve you. I will not watch as you choose death as an answer," he said. His silver long hair nearly touched the ground as he bowed his head. I tighten my jaw and realized what he was going to do. When a demon has been selected and chosen to serve a queen or king they cannot refuse to do a task. And if it questioned the king or queens authority in any way, that demon shall pay for it by death.
"Very well Marcell. Shadows!!Dungeon!!" I ordered. The shadows hissed and grabbed for Marcell.
"No!!" Marcell yelled kicking at the shadows. His kicked went right threw them as they carried him away. I sighed knowing that what Marcell really wanted was for me to kill him. I shook the thought out of my head and sat at my throne. My head was throbbing and I still didn't get the human I asked for. I was becoming irritated and very hungry.

Chapter Two
"Your Majesty," a voice said from the doorway. I lifted my aching head to see who it was. The smell hit me. It was the smell of a human's blood with a hint of alcohol. I smiled weakly as the human looked around. Normally when a human can't see the shadows but its different if the human is not sober or if the human is sick. They can't see them as clearly as a demon would. They only see dark shapes hovering. They can't see the teeth and claws of the shadows.
"I was starting to get impatient," I said standing up. "You couldn't find a younger one?"
"No your majesty. This was the youngest one around," the female said.
"Very well. Run a long," I said waving her away. The human stood alone looking around him. I stood there for a second watching him. I walked slowly toward him. I finally caught his attention. He watched my every movement and smiled. I stood in front of him. He didn't hesitate when he grabbed my chest. I sighed and grabbed his wrist. I bent it so far back that his knuckles touched the hairs of his arm. He looked like he was in his early thirties but he wore no wedding ring. I heard a bone in his wrist snap and he screamed in pain.
"Look but don't touch," I said letting him go. He cradled his now broken left wrist to his chest and looked up at me. He was completely drunk and had no sense of what was about to happen, which always made the drunken ones my favorite. I pinned him to the ground and rubbed my nose against, my neck teasing my hunger. Then I bit him. I began tearing at his skin and pulling little pieces off. He squirmed but not for long. I pulled and tugged as my mouth filled with blood. I saw the vampire staring down at me from the doorway. He had a smile on his face and I stared up at him. I felt blood dripping down my chin and I wiped it away with the back of my hand.
"Am I interrupting something?" he asked.
"It depends. Are you my next meal?" I asked. He shook his head and looked at the floor.
"What exactly do you plan to do with Chaos?" he asked.
"That's none of your concern," I said standing up. I watched as the shadows became to devour what was left of the man.
"I have to know. My Lord requests this information," he said.
"How is Corbett?" I asked licking the blood from my lips. The shadows scattered away from the body and the only thing left was bones.
"Fine,” he said. I stared at him for a second and turned away from him.
"Tell Corbett I plan to do nothing about Chaos," I said. I walked to my throne and was surprised to see the vampire blocking my way of it.
"You're going to do nothing?" he asked confused.
"Leave now, vampire and I will spare you your life," I said shoving him a side. He didn't fight me. I watched as he backed away and left the room. I noticed how the shadows didn't fly away from him like they would to anyone else. Instead, the hovered close to him like they usually did for me. That only meant that I was no longer going to be the only Royal blood of the Underworld.
Chapter Three
I woke to the sound of growls and scratching. I opened my eyes and looked at my door. There were giant claw marks done from the outside that showed on the inside. I sighed and pulled myself from the comfort of my bed. I opened the door and looked up. My pet demon Shana was looking down at me. Her wings were half opened and she was drooling on the floor. Shana is a lesser demon. The just kill for fun, not because they have actual plans on causing real destruction. Shana is a special lesser demon. She can shape shift and no other lesser demon in the underworld could. She usually would take the form of a helpless little girl but there are times when she would turn into one of this ridiculous human wrestlers to entertain me. Down in the underworld we find humans very annoying but highly delicious treats. She also can speak.
“What is it, Shana?” I asked sleepily. She looked at me and shifted into a little girl that looked like she was maybe five years old. I now had to look down at her.
“I’m hungry Mommy,” she said in a little girl’s voice. She can only speak if she is an a human form. I always found that a disappointment on my end.
“Where is your feeder?” I asked, rubbing her head.
“I ate her,” she said sadly. I sighed and looked up at the ceiling.
“That’s the fifth feeder you ate this month,” I said.
“She was taking way too long,” she said kicking the door frame. I reached my hand out for her and she grabbed it.
“Come on,” I said and pulled her down the long hallway to find her some food. We ended up looking for one of the other servants. I was ready to make one of them Shana’s demon when I was gently tapped on the shoulder. I looked behind me and my eyes rose in surprise. Corbett, himself had come to visit the queen and that didn’t happen often. It’s been over a hundred years since last time.
“My queen,” he said. I watched him kneel on one knee and bow his head.
“Rise Vampire Lord,” I said. I could hear the surprise in my voice and I silently cleared my throat.
“I will leave you two your work Master,” Shana said and skipped away.
“What brings the Vampire Lord to my presents?” I asked, pleased with my voice.
“Your decision,” he said giving me a
