Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. This morning started off really bad. Then it got worse. And, here it comes.........I died. And on my birthday too!
Well, actually the whole dying thing wasn't that bad.
I got away from my mom. My mother abused me. Not physically, but mentally. I got strait A's, was president of Farly Ford High School, I was the schools star softball player, I already had 10,000 dollars in scholorship money, and did everything she told me to. No matter what I did, I was still the worthless punk, she wished she never had.
***************
At my funeral she put in eye-drops to make it look like she was crying. If she wasn't mayor, she probably wouldn't have even made an appearence.
***************
Anyhoo, I "woke up" to see a dark hall that looked as though it went on forever. A boy who looked to be 18 or 19 stared at me. At first I thought I was in dream. Thank God wasn't. Mom signed a paper this morning saying I was going to a bording school in Maine. My mind was hazy. I can remember Mom yelling at me to stop embarrassing her in public, or something like that. I made a face at her and she saw it. She threw a knife at me, she missed. I didn't miss however falling down the flight of stairs that led to a very pointy abstract scupture my mom bought for 50,000 dollars. And of corse I was a goner. To bad I never got to tell mom how big of a B**** she was.

Okay, so, I see this dude standing in front of me. I did something, I’m guessing he didn’t expect. I got up, hugged him, and started dancing around like a maniac. Nope, he really didn’t expect it. His eyes went wide. His mouth hung open. He muttered a follow me, and then he walked through a wall. It wasn’t that scary. Iv’e seen my mom in a see through night gown. Now that is scary! He was still trying to figure out what had just happened. I’m guessing people are more like where am I, and Who are you?
“Why are you so happy?” he said.
“ No evil mother!” I sang.
“She couldn’t have been that bad.” He mumbled. I raised my eyebrows as if to say wanna bet?. He nodded.
"My mom was a B**** too." “So your umm, well, see.......your not dreaming.”
I’m dead!” I finished with excitment.
“Yea,” he said, “ your taking this pretty well. Your not like all the others."
I bit my lip and smiled. We had made are way to a hall, and he guesturred towords a door that had my initials.
"That," he said, "would be our room." I raized an eyebrow,
"our room."
"Well, apparently we have nothing to lose."
He smiled and kicked open the door. I took the chance to look him over, he reminded me of someone. Then i relized he looked like me. Black hair, tall, tan, leather jacket, dark jeans with holes in the knees, black boots. All of this fit my profile.
"So, I said do I have to stay in these clothes forever?" i asked. The kid looked at me.
"No, You can wear whatever you want. We have malls, we still eat, bathe, we do what we did when we were alive. Except we can start over, make things right. We come here to do that. The unfinished buisness, some are supposed to be big shots, some are supposed to learn a lesson, fall in love, that crap, you know. the thing is we dont know what that thing is until its time to go where ever we're supposed to go after this."
A smirk appeared on my face, "so i can change into my p'j's then."

Chapter 2
i was talking to my buddy jake.
"yeah she practically jumped into my arms!" i said. "Then she got all sarcastic. I mean not saying it wasnt hot or anything, but you know annoying."
"Man," jake said. "did she even tell you what her name was?"
"No, thats the thing she gets all flirty and weird, then totally blew me off, and went to sleep!"
"She's probably way out of your league, what is she like 18 or 19?"
i slumped my shoulders, he was right. i was only 16.
"Does age even matter, we're dead?"
"Totally matters, Ben, remember when i tried to ask out Lucy, and she blew me away like a preschooler cuz i was 2 years younger???"
"God, I should just ask her, or at least talk to her and see what her name is at least."
"Dude, did you not hear a thing I just said?"
"Hey, Jake, I'll see you later."

Breathe Ben! i said to myself. I was at my door. When was the last time i had been afraid to go into my own room? uh, never. Well, until now. I cracked my knukles and stepped in.
Oh, my F-ing God! she was Hot! She wore a leather jaket (one that happened to show curves that any boy would love to see. And a pair of shorts that commented on her long tan legs. I swallowed hard, her legs lead to black boots that went up past her knees. I couldnt see her face because her nose was in a book. She looked up though about 5 seconds after i stopped drooling.
"Sorry, had to finish my paragraph."
she bolted to her feet, and came to where i was standing. Her boots gave her some hight and was only about an inch shorter than me.
"Hey!" I said, smiling at how close she was to me again.
"I didn't get to introduce myself to you last night, I'm Kaddy, Kaddy Grays."
Well Hello Kaddy Grays, I thought to myself.

"Hey, I'm Ben." I managed. "So, are you uh, 18 or like what?" God i was a moron.
"Nah, I get that a lot though. I'm 16."
I breathed out in silent victory.
"Me too I said with an even bigger smile on my face.

EEP! His smile is so cute!!! I had to hold myself back from throwing myself onto him.He smelt like watermelon. May I say? I L.O.V.E. watermelon. It was even better that he was taller than me, and that like rocks cause im pretty friggin'tall, like 5'11" tall. He was probably like 6'2". And to top it all off, he's 16!
"Those are very short shorts." he said
"Well, I hope so, otherwise the tag that said short shorts lied."
"Woman's fashion has changed a little since I was around I guess."
"and when was that?"
"Let's see, 16 years ago yesterday.
"Holy shiz, you dont look 32!!!!".
"He shrugged, we dont age here."
"So, it wouldn't be weird if I asked you to hang out later?"
he smiled "not at all"

I took her to a diner everyone hangs out at. On our way there we started talking. Turns out she like softball....I like baseball.......she likes sculpting........I like painting..We have so much in common its not even funny. Its great, actually it's perfect. We connect. I know we just met......but she feels like my missing puzzle piece.

We were walking down the side walk when I spoted Larry and his gang. Larry died when he held a knife to this guy for stealing his "girl", well anyway the guy shot him and now he's dead. Larry sneered when he saw me, his fake New Jersey accent slithering out of his lips.
"Hey Beni Boy, who's the giryl?" he said walking up to us. Kaddy stepped up and towered above him.An evil grin spread over her shimmering face.
"The giryl," Kaddy said imitating larry's annoying voice, "can speak for her own damn self. My name is Kaddy. Kaddy Grays."
Larry had a smirk on his face, smacking gum between his surprisingly white teeth.
"Boy you sure is a charma aintcha."
"If you could drop that lame Jersey shore voice I would be apreciative." Kaddy cocked her head to the side. "It's giving me a headache." Larrys smirk fell. Kaddy laughed and we started walking away. Larry caught her arm and glared at her.
"Who said i was done talking to you yet?"
Kaddy glared at him."If you don't move your filthy hand from my arm, I will bite it off. That would be too bad, because I expect that's the one you use to manstrobate." Larry's face turned red as we all started to laugh. Larry opened his mouth. Kaddy pried his hand off and we headed into the diner.

we got into my booth in the corner. Kaddy pulled her long black hair onto a high ponytail. She could probably wake up in the morning and not even have to brush and you wouldn't be able to tell, thats how perfect it is. She rested her head on her fist and looked at the menue then up at me.
"so, what's good?"
"Well, they have salads and stuff....."
"PHU-lease, I want meat." she wiggled her eyebrows at me and i laughed.

I wish I could make him laugh all day. It's like jazz music. steady a peaceful. I cant help but smile when I hear it. And if you saw his eyes, oh those eyes. There as blue as the ocean and deep enouph you could drown in, you know if your alive. I caught my self staring and looked back at the menue.
"mmmmm...pulled pork sliders. my fave!!! decision made." i said.
"I love pulled pork." we both said together.
i felt heat rise to my cheeks. WHAT! no. Kaddy grays never blushes, ever. Not in her life. well, i guess this doesn't count since im dead.
"You look cute when you blush." ben said when he was looking at me. I looked up, and his eyes were all wide like he couldn't beleive he said that either. his tanned cheeks turned pink.
"You too."
"wha?" he said with confusion.
"When you blush, you look cut when you blush." Before either of us could say anything more the waitress came with our drinks and took our order, which was easy since we each got the same thing.
