I walked over to my motorcycle, the Black Beauty. I unlocked it and slid my helemet on my head. The Black Beauty was the love of my life. I swung my leg over it and slid the key into the ignition. It purred like a kitten. I popped the kickstand and gunned the motor. I took off in a flash leaving my boring school life in my wake. I knew without looking behind me that all the students were looking at me. I didn't care. I knew I had a cool bike. I had more important things to worry about. Like I don't know, the fact that i'm bethroved. I've known I was bethroved for a while know. A few months ago I opened the cabinet that my so called "parents" told me to never open. There I stumbled upon the scroll that offically ruined my life. Lucias Vladescu. The man I'm supposed to marry. I sped up. I looked up at the sun and something caught my eye. My stalker. Great. I zigzaged througth cars. I looked in my rear view mirrior. I spotted my parents farm up ahead. I did a sharp turn onto the drive way. I took off my helemet and set it on the seat. My motorcycle keys were in my hand. I stared down at them. The only keyring was a gift I got in the mail. It said The promise that time forgot
. Blast. I rolled my motorcycle into my garage. I rolled the door down after I set it inside. I wasn't expecting to see Lucias Vladescu behind me. I didn't even flinch. "What do you want?" I hissed at him. "Hello to you to. My name is-" He said but I cut him off. "Lucias Vladescu. I know." I said to his shocked face. I could barely contain my laughter. "How do you know?" He said. "I read my bethrovel scroll." I said recalling the old scroll. I just hoped he didn't ask how I found it. "How did you find it?" he asked me flabergasted. Blast. I was this close to smacking him. "Never mind that. What did you want?" I asked him walking to the front door. He followed behind me. Blast. "May I talk to your parents?" He asked me stopping on the front porch. Oh yeah. He had to be invited in. Score one for the home team. "Nope." I said to him resting the hand that wasn't holding the door open on my hip. I started to close the door but he stopped it with his hand. He pushed it open all the way and stepped in. Blast. I must have said that last thought out loud because he smiled. I glared at him. My mom walked down the stairs holding the laundry basket. She opened her mouth to ask me how was my day when she saw Lucias. Great. Just great. My mom knew who he was. She looked at me and said, "Jessica can I talk to Lucias alone?"
I left out the door hoping to get to the Black beauty before my mom stopped me. I opened up my garage door. There was the Black beauty. Waiting for me. I pulled my keys out of my pocket and got on. I slid my helemet on and started the motor. It was my life. If this was stolen I would have a few words to say to who ever stole it. It wouldn't end in words. I popped the kickstand and gunned the motor. I sped out of the driveway hoping not to be stopped. I looked behind me and smiled. I wasn't being followed.
I gunned my motor and sped up. I was surrounded by trees. I slowed down and turned onto a hidden road. I turned sideways and skidded to a stop. Here it was the path that lead to my hideaway. I got off my bike and started walking keys in hand. Only if you knew where to find it could you get to the hidden path. I pulled back a wall of ivy and there was the door. I know it sounds like a chapter stolen from The Secret garden.
I unlocked the door with my key. It opened and walked in along with my bike. I propped my bike against the wall. I shut the door and slid the bolt. I turned around. I've been here plenty of times, but everytime I see this hallway, it takes my breath away. This was a bridge that was built for protection. The hallway is bathed in sunlight. The sunlight filters in from the cracks in the leaves. Flowers hang above my head. I walked slowly never wanting to leave. I finally came to the end. The door was open waiting for me. I stepped through the door and shut it locking it. This forest guarded a lost tresure. I was the owner of the oldest house known to man. The house had a victorian style to it. It was made back past 1600. Inside was better. I looked around. No one was here. I opened the front door. I locked it too. I felt for the light switch. I found it and flipped it on. When I first found the house I had redone everything. I now had cable,tv,internet, phone, and hbo. I was behind on my water bill though. I sent them a check to pay for any more. I looked at the stairs. The stairs curved like in paris. I ran up the stairs to my bedroom. I threw open the door. I jumped on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. I tell my parents that I'm going out of town and come live here. It is like living in heaven. I fell bad for telling them this ,but I need time to myself. My phone rings. I forgot about my jacket. I fished it out of my pocket and flipped it open. "Hello?" I asked. "Jessica? Honey where are you?" My mom said. "I had to go out of town to hang with a friend." I lied. "I'm sorry honey, but you have to come home." She said. "Sorry mom, but I'm going into a tunnel. Bye!" I said hanging up. I threw my phone on my bed and ran down to the kitchen. I opened the cupboards. I had enough for a small dinner, dessert, and a midnight snack. I grabbed the keys to my truck. My truck my parked outside the outer door.
I grabbed a shopping cart. I started down the row grabbing bread and butter. I turned into the deli. I got a cake for me. I grabbed some milk and soda. Here's my list:
Milk
Butter
Eggs
Soda
Cake
Napkins
Bread
olives
Pears
Ice cream
Chips
I crossed the last thing off my list. I hurried to the check out. I piled everything on to the belt. I pushed the cart through. I swiped my card. Done. I grabed the bags and ran to my truck. I put them in the back seat. I got in and started the truck. I tore out of the parking lot and into the forest.

I opened the front door and walked in. I shut the door behind me. I flipped the light switch. I set the bags on the table. I put everything away. I closed the last cupboard with a sigh. I ran up the stairs to my room. I plopped down at my computer. I booted it up. I typed in the password. My motorccle background pooped up. I opened my email. Wow. I had 20 new emails. I clicked open the first one. Bill. Delete. Next. Bill. Delete. Next. Scam. Delete. Next. Ad. No I didn't want to save money on my car insureance. Delete. Next. Bill,Bill,Bill,Bill. Delete,Delete,Delete,Delete. Next. It was from my mom. I opened it expecting to be yelled at over email (Yes my Mom yells at me over email.) When I saw the first sentence I froze. It was him. Lucias Vladescu. Emailing me. Blast. My mom must have known I would be online. I started reading.
Dear Jessica.
I know you don't want to be talking to me right now but at least meet me tonight. I know where you are. Your hiding in the forest -
I stopped reading after that. DELETE.
I locked the house making sure that nothing was on. I ran through the bridge. I grabbed my motorcycle. I gunned the engine taking off.

I pulled up at my parent's house. I hid my motorcycle for a quick getaway. I walked into the house. My mom ran down the stairs. She grabbed me in a hug. Lucias followed behind her. My mom led me to the kitchen table. She set down a cup of coffee for me. The scroll layed in front of me. "I know honey that you know about this and we're sorry. You must marry Lucias." By the time My father said this my coffee cup was drained, I was standing and walking toward the door. "I know and I need time to think. I will be back in a couple of weeks. I'm staying with a friend. Love you." I said running to my motorcycle. Lucias was running toward me. I popped the kickstand
