Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. (That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane -
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn -
world serves its own needs, regardless of your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right - right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright
light, feeling pretty psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign tower. Slash and burn,
return, listen to yourself churn. Lock him in uniform and book burning,
blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle,
light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch a heel crush, crush. Uh oh,
this means no fear - cavalier. Renegade and steer clear! A tournament,
a tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives
and I decline.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

The other night I tripped a nice continental drift divide. Mount St. Edelite.
Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs.
Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic, patriotic,
slam, but neck, right? Right.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine...fine...

(It's time I had some time alone)

They all thought it was another joke. There was no telling how much longer had time passed by from the clock that was counting down to what was to come for all due to all the power outage yet the last time shown was ten minutes till. It had to be past that time. So Once again, it was all another scare to add on to the list of empty promises of humanity-that was until a meteorite, the size of a human head came from out of no where smoldering with fire and gas.

It hit the street, displaying for all around it to see. All the partying and prasising had stopped. "What is that noise?" Someone had asked to no one in particular. It sounded like a long whistling sound in the distance til it had gotten closer to sounding like a wild, out of control siren. It was another meteorite twenty times larger than the head shot one and it crashed landed into one of the apartment building. Three more came crashing down that was much bigger thatn the first two and they kept increasing in sizes.

They targeted cars, all buildings, people. Oh, what a sight that was for the ones who were running for their lives to see others getting pulverized with great force, speed, and on fire. Screams could've been heard from all over but that wouldn't stop the rain of fires. It was as if this all can be played and seen in slow motion. The terror. The horror. The End of it all...

Honor was awaken by a soft nudge to her side. She took a moment to get the sleepiness out from her eyes and gain memory of where she was: On the bus, heading to work. She took her headphones from her ears and started to rub them, thinking she was still hearing music. Then she sat still waiting to hear instruments that were about to play or someone that will bellow out a song-nothing. She looked around and seen some of the passengers were staring at her slightly crazy or slightly concerned and she reassured them with a small smile, feeling embarrassed at the same time.

"So it was all a dream..." She thought to herself.

"The singing and dancing were just a dream. A DREAM? Wow I thought all that up. Not bad."

But She had to ask someone anyway just to make sure:

"Excuse me, can you tell me if there was any news earlier that the world was going to end?" The woman who was wearing hospital scrubs looked at her confused

"No. Just the normal news about this crazy weather we have been having. Said it should stop it's craziness by tomorrow with the chance of normal sunshine."

"Thanks..."

"Sarah. My name is Sarah and you're welcome." Honor had said looking more confused.

Her stop was coming up so she gather her things. She can see the University's library still there and intacted. And there was the Java Hut with the Indian woman who was the owner. Everyone seemed like they were minding their own business without any harm done. As she stood up among the the other people who were getting off at the same stop, the bus jerked to a stop, causing her bump whoever was standing in back of her.

"I'm so sorry! This bus at times with it's breaks."

"Tell me about it." He had said. "No need to apologize. That perfume you're wearing. Smells heavenly."

"Thank you." She felt herself blushing. She then realized she was talking to her bus crush who she also remembered was in her crazy, realistic dream.

"I'm Justin." He introduced himself as. That smile he flashed her was so memorizing, she felt herself blinded with admiration.

"Honor."She reached out her hand to shake his and felt an immediate spark.

"Honor...very unique."

"Do you need any assitance getting off the bus?" She had asked him.

"No, no, I'm good to go. You're getting off at the University?"

"Yes, I'm one of the librians across."

"Do you know I never been there? Go to school and I never stepped foot in it. Looks like I may have another reason to visit..."

"That will be fine with me. Stop by and I can help you with whatever you are researching."

"Excuse me for being blunt but I think I may have seaarched what seems interesting to me."

Honor felt her cheeks increasing in temperature. So the people got off, the people got on and it was just another day in Anywhere, USA. Holly Julie had summed it up with the conclusion by yelling from the back of the bus,

"MARK 13:33! TAKE YE HEED, WATCH AND PRAY: FOR YE NOT KNOW WHEN THE TIME IS!...

"To those who LOVES music with a passion, believes there's no age to it, and is greatly inspired by it...I thank you." And that was me trying to sound cordigal and classic. Here's the real me: This book contains a simple instruction and the option to follow, which is to listen as you read along to the story. The playlist is on my profile and they are in order according to lyrics in the story. Whenever you see this: (@) this will mean to go ahead and play the song on my profile if you like. We all have an imagination right? So why not be in the shoes of the main character? And the beauty of it, you can play/pause/rewind/fastward/skip/and stop. Sweeeeet. If you do decide to go along and open another window to get to my profile, I advise you all to read before you hear the first song-it just makes sense that way ; > p.s. please excuse the increase and the decreasing of the words of the lyrics and I hope there's no advertisement playing through the breaks of the next song. If it is, bare with it. Without further a do, ON WITH THE SHOW!
