Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. piled up stuff that he digs into. But not this time. I have never seen a person that can stand so still like the way he was doing. He had a cup of what it looked like steaming coffee till Rod knocked it out of his hand while he was passing him and then laughed at his stupidity.

I ran this time to aid the man. He was kneeling to pick up his cup and I thought some of the coffee might have burned him. "Are you ok, mister? I'm sorry about my friend there. I know he always messed with you-" His cup...he picked it up and there was steam coming from the cup like it had never spilled. As a matter of fact, I didn't see any coffe staining the pavement... "Friends..." he said with a smirk as those beady eyes looked at me. "Some fine friends

you have there, son. I thought you would know by now the difference and the meaning of that word."

"Hey...what's in that cup you're drinking?"

"Hot moon shine to keep me warm at night." He threw the cup towards me in a blink of an eye, I wasn't fast enough to move before the hot content came on me. But there was nothing spilled. "Hey! Are you crazy?!" This brought a boastful, hackiling laugh out of him. "Have to play the role that people think I am, right? Aw, calm down. I'm just messing with you." He picked up the cup again and brought it to his lips as the steam started to rise again.

"Are you a magician?"

He chuckled. "No. But I will tell that I am thnakful for you to talk about the woman from the tragic accident like you did...that was very kind of you to stand up for her..."

"Oh. I didn't know her but I remember seeing her around. She didn't do any harm to anyone so I don't know why Rod thought to say those things."

"Because he's ignorant. Always been." He started to walk away.

"What do you mean always been? You've been stalking him?"

He just kept walking away from me when he said over his shoulders, "Walk with me Collin."

I remained where I stood, hesitant to follow hsi command. I looked over behind my back to see if Rod was waiting on me again but he disappeared further down the side walk a while ago. "Don't worry about your hoodlum friend. He's not looking for you." The man said as he was now ten feet away from me but his voice sounded so close to my ear. He was terrifying me a little but I have always been a curious person. So I jogged to him.

"How did you my name?"

"Ha! I'm no stalker. You can relax with that theory but I have been watching. I've watched you, and that clown you claim is a friend, this block, that block...I've lost someone that I was watching over the most...keeping an eye on things and such."

"Why? Don't you think that's a little crazy?"

"Because it's my job to. And why is that crazy? If you or someone else was in trouble-right before my eyes, wouldn't they want someone to help? Wouldn't you want help?"

"Yeah..."

"And you need help."

"Oh I do?"

"Uggh." He had said with a groan. "For the first time in your life you have been observing. The humanity of yourself and people. You've been a troubled kid but that doesn't define you. It shouldn't have to. You have more heart and soul than any of those people you hang out with. And being a follower is not making you grow. The world will end but there's still time to make a difference and stand up."

"...You believe that the world will end?"

"You don't?" He asked. I shrugged then he chuckled.

"Everything doesn't last forever. In some way it all has to come to an end..."

He then walked on his merry way waving. Before he had disappeared he made sure to yell, "Think about what I told you! You'll see me around if your eyes are more clearer!"

*"FALCON"*

Young people now a days. I don't bother questioning them due to their "rebel" ways but what I had seen in this fellow, I knew there was still a chance for him. I can see a break through coming and the light in him will be brighter to make a difference... (@)

(I want to live,
I want to give
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It's these expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

I've been to Hollywood
I've been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I've been in my mind,
it's such a fine line
That keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm getting old.

Keep me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a heart of gold
And I'm growing old.
I've been a miner
for a heart of gold.

The service was a bit meek and damp. I knew the weather caught everyone by surprise since they were use to seeing rain in the evenings but it seems like it was all apart of putting them off balance. To not expect what can happen next. Great. That's exactly what they need, to start be in panic so soon already...

My visions were all over the place today. Mostly it was on my Sarah's coffin as they were lowering it in the ground. For the most of who she knew that didn't leave, came to say good bye to her. I looked at Lionel and he looked the same bus could've hit him too. I probably would've liked Lionel if I was around. Would've had that man to man talk for the first time he broke my baby girl's heart but I understood his side of the story. Therefore, I wish I was around.

When her coffin hit the bottom of that six feet deep I thought about what i would've said to Sarah If I had the chance. There would've been a a short time to say what I had to say but she would know how I would feel...

-LIONEL-

I felt like the world had swallowed whole everything else I knew and left me out as if I was rotted meat. When they say "life's not fair" that saying hit me like a ton of bricks ten times over till I felt I should be the one laying in the coffin as well. It stops my heart to replay the event over and over...we had just got of the phone together and for the first time in two years, I was looking forward to the evening's conversation with her...now I won't get to talk to her anymore. If I had that one chance to say what I need to say... (@)

(Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions
Oh, let's go back to the start
Running in circles, coming up tails
Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh, take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart

But tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing our tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh, it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ah ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh

*MARK*

Seems like they tried to cram all the funerals that were going on into one day. I noticed that much at least. Anything else I couldn't focus on because I still couldn't believe Steve was gone. I remember he told me last that he seen his sister and then after that he was doing ok...then his heart gave out. I was at the hospital in his room and by his bed side the whole time. The last time he would open his eyes; the last time he would speak enough to tell me: He's coming. Do us proud..."

So down he goes as they lowered him. I watched as the drops of rain hit against his coffin and I had a feeling that this wasn't the way Steve would have wanted to go. "You know what poem that always had gotten to me?" I remember him saying one time as him, Jenna, and I were taking a rest break with a coke from doing yard work that we volunteered for. "Robert Frost. I always loved the way he put his words. The book 'The Oustsiders'? That poem really touched me."

"You and your poetry collections..." I remember saying as I laughed. "Such a sensitive brute."

"And women love it." Jenna had said.

"Whatever. That poem had spoke to me. Nothing Gold Can Stay. Life alone is gold to me."

"Steve, come on dude. Not now." I said rolling my eyes.

"Let him finish." Jenna always eat it up when Steve decides to be feminine.

"We got one to live only...so precious it is and people take it for granted." He looks towards the sun as the time for it to set was coming near. He had that far off look in his eyes again and I knew he was thinking about his sister. "When this world ends, I like to think that I will be settled in gold..."

I never knew what he meant till I watched the rain coming down. I seen how his family and and friends were grieving for him. I noticed Josephine standing next to a tree in the distance as she watched what was going on. There wasn't no lighting but how Josephine views life, she wouldn't care if she had gotten struck. There was no point trying to talk her to come near the service but at least she came.

Steve would've LOVED the sight that she actually showed up for something about him. It's his funeral, yes but...nevertheless it's still something of his. And then the thought struck me like it was lighting.
