Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. he held out his hand.
She took it and he helped her up. He led her outside the temple and she looked back at Demetri. The moon shone through the trees as they walked, hearing sounds and howling in the distance.
“Sol wanted me to tell you that you won’t be an evil demon if she uses her soul to save you,” Shin looked at her with regretful eyes. “Her last wish was for you to become a demon and live with Demetri.”
Selene shook her head. “You know I can’t do that Shin.”
“Selene, please,” he took her hand in his pleading. “For her sake, if nothing else.”
She turned away from him and coughed as the wind blew. Shin looked at her still as the moon hid behind a cloud.
“You’re not strong enough to kill the high power, you can kill him if you were a demon,” he looked away. “Sol wanted that of you. I do as-“
“Do you have even the slightest idea of what that would do!” She glared at him. “Heaven would be thrown into chaos and they will put me in his place!”
Her eyes widened as she smelled a familiar scent and turned toward Shin. Shin’s eyes widened as he smelt the scent as well.
“Shin move!” she shouted as she pushed him out of the way as hand came down in front of them.
She covered her eyes as dust flew and gasped when she was pinned against a tree. The dust settled and she saw the high power in front of her, his eyes piercing right through her. She glared at him and swung upwards with her sword. He caught it and she gasped as it flew from her hands.
“No…” she whispered fearfully.
“I want you like you were before when we last fought,” he whispered in her ear as he grinned.
She pushed him back and her wings came out as the black marks went around her body. She rushed at him and he blocked her attack with one hand. She did a sweep kick and he kicked her into a tree as she grunted.
She grabbed her sword and she went back to normal. The dragon tattoo appeared on her hand to her neck as her eyes turned hazy. Her sword’s straps went around her arm and glowed red. She charged at the man and he disappeared, and then reappeared behind her. She swung around and he caught her sword in his hand as she growled.
She gripped her sword’s handle and the sword shocked him. He yelped and she cut him across the chest as her sword glowed crimson. She felt a pulse go through her and she went to her knees.
“Selene!” Shin shouted as he rushed toward her.
The man appeared in front of Shin and put his hand on his neck. Shin slashed at him and the man blocked his sword. Shin gasped as the man tore his hand through his stomach as Selene’s eyes widened.
“SHIN!!” Selene screamed.
Shin coughed up blood and the man took his hand out of Shin’s stomach. Selene felt Demetri’s presence coming and looked at her left. She saw him running toward her with his sword out. Selene struggled to concentrate her power as she held out her hand.
She put up a barrier in front of Demetri, blocking him from entering.
“Selene! What are you doing!?” Demetri pounded on the barrier. “Let me in!”
Selene yelped as she felt her nails and teeth get sharper as her eyes turned red. Her sword’s straps dug deeper into her arm as she gasped in pain.
Ar…mageddon, stop my transformation!” she struggled to say.
“I can’t! Its stronger than usual!” he growled.
The man walked behind Selene and raised his sword. Selene clawed the ground in pain with her left eyes closed.
“SELENE!!” Demetri screamed as the man thrust his sword down onto her.
Selene rolled and stopped the sword with her blade as her teeth clenched. Suddenly her wings came out and spikes came from her sword, stabbing the man throughout his body. Her eyes widened in surprise and the spikes disappeared.
She rolled out of the way as he thrust his sword down more and it hit the ground. She stood up and charged at him as he turned around. She stabbed him through his heart and his eyes widened in surprise.
“You’re a….”the man coughed as he glanced at Selene.
“I know,” she whispered regretfully as she withdrew her sword from his chest. “I’m a demon now.”
The man stabbed her in her stomach and she cried out in pain. The barrier weakened and Demetri broke through it. He rushed at the man as his sword’s chain came out and wrapped around the man tightly. The man grunted as Selene went to her knees in pain as she panted.
“Selene!” Demetri shouted as he knelt down in front of her.
“If you kill me,” the man chuckled as blood dribbled down his cheek. “You’ll become a demon fully and you can’t change back to an angel ever.”
Selene glared at the man and stood up wobbly. She punched him and he fell down.
“I’m… not like… you,” she growled as she panted.
Demetri got in front of Selene and raised his sword. Selene’s eyes widened at the murderous look in his eyes.
“Demetri don’t!” she shouted as he swung downwards.
The sword cut across the ground in front of the man and froze him. Selene looked at Demetri in confusion as he sheathed Calamity.
“This will seal his powers up so he has none left. I’m not so low as to kill him in front of you, Selene.” Demetri said.
Selene nodded and they turned toward Shin. He looked pale and lifeless, but his chest was moving. Selene knew even he couldn’t heal from his wounds and looked away as Demetri knelt beside Shin.
“Hey.” Shin said weakly.
“Hey.” Demetri answered.
Selene knelt beside Shin and he looked at her weakly. He pulled out the blue vial from his pocket and held it out to her.
“Take…it. Sol would want you to use it,” Shin coughed violently. “It can change you back into an angel or turn you into a full demon.”
Selene took it from him and nodded sadly. Shin smiled a little, and then looked at Demetri. Demetri held Shin’s hand in his as he looked back.
“Demetri take good care of her,” he told him as his voice got fainter.
“I will Shin, you know I will,” he said as he smiled a little.
Shin nodded and closed his eyes as his chest stopped moving. Selene looked at the vial and held it to her chest sadly. An hour passed and they burned Shin’s body on a pile of sticks as the sun rose. Selene uncorked the vial and Demetri looked at her.
She turned back to normal and her wings turned white again. Demetri grabbed the vial from her and she gasped. There was half of it left and he glanced at her, and then started drinking it slowly.
“Demetri…” Selene whispered in shock as his wings started to turn white and angelic.
His eyes remained the same and he drank the last of the vial’s liquid. He looked at Selene and she stared at him in shock. He smiled at her and grabbed her hand as he kissed it.
“I think Sol will forgive me for turning into an angel to live with you,” he said as he embraced her.
She nodded and embraced him back as she sighed. The looked at the sky as Selene saw some angels come out of the clouds. Demetri sighed and Selene looked at him as the sun hit their faces.
“So Selene,” he closed his eyes. “What will we do now?”
Selene shook her head and he opened his eyes.
“I don’t know,” she answered quietly.
He kissed her and she kissed back as he held her close to him.
“We’ll find a way,” he told her when they parted.
“Yeah, I know we will,” she whispered.
The angels landed in front of them and Selene squeezed Demetri’s hand back.
“We always do,” she thought as they walked toward the angels. “Right?”
