Nazi's helmet off of his head. The Nazi looked over the side, and realized where he was. Then once he turned his head, BAM! Phoenix kicked him over the side.

"Wait... Oh GODDAMMIT! FUCK! I FORGOT HE HAD THE FOLDERS!"

Phoenix took a deep breath, and drove straight off of the side. Soaring over the marshy waters, he landed onto a tour-boat. And right in front of everybody else and the tour-guide was the Nazi. Injured. Laying against the boat controls. Phoenix, with his motorcycle in the middle of the seats, retracted his choppercycle and slowly strolled to the front of the boat. "I von't give it to you! I vill NOT!"

Phoenix snatched the schedules, and stuffed them in his pocket. Looking up, he noticed links of sausages across the cover of the boat. "Tour Guide-orino! Those sausages real?"

He nodded. Phoenix tore them down, and tied them around the Nazi's neck. The Nazi held his hands in front of his face, frightened by the appearance of Phoenix's menacing figure. "BITTE! BITTE! NEIN! NEEINN! DON'T HURT ME!"

Phoenix said, "Relax."

Kicking him over the boat, the Nazi was afloat in the water. Phoenix stole control and steered the boat away. The Nazi remained in the water. "Vell... This isn't zo bad..." Then a trail of bubbles followed over to the Nazi, and an alligator popped out of the water, chomping the man down.

"Gators gotta eat too. Can't just neglect animals."

Chapter XIV: Under Our Noses

 PHOENIX'S RESIDENCE

Phoenix walked into the garage to see Peter working on decoding the location. "How's it going?"

"Well the radio talk-show host usually goes around to the location of the person they talk to so maybe we could wait un- Nevermind, just remembered we have the schedule. But I'm decoding the symbol on here that locates the area that he's in." The electronic he was using detected the distance from the machine to the location.

And it was surprisingly close. "It's around here in New Orleans. We're... Wow. We're right by it." Phoenix looked opened the garage and looked around. "How close is it?"

"Well... It's right near this-"

"Cut to the chase. Where would it be?"

Peter read the distance again. "Wait! The distance is moving, it's getting closer!"

"How can a place be getting closer to us?"

"Maybe it's in a bus or a van."

Phoenix looked at both sides of the street. No cars were on the road. "No, that can't be it." Then he looked up.

And realized the location of Dovkin Schriener was under his nose the whole time.

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?"

"What?"

He pointed up in the air. "HE'S BEEN IN THAT FUCKING BLIMP THE ENTIRE TIME. WE'VE LITERALLY BEEN RIGHT UNDER IT FOR SO LONG! You know what?"

Phoenix stormed into the house to search for Hans. "Where's that little shitbird at?" he screamed. Abhy poked her head out of the room and said, "Phoenix, what's wrong?"

"OUTTA THE WAY!"

"What- WHY?"

"JUST MOVE!"

Phoenix moved into the room where Hans was on his bed. "Alright, why didn't you tell me Schriener was in the blimp?" he forcibly questioned. Hans appeared to be sleeping. Phoenix slid his fingers in between the prosthetic legs and the wound, and pinched it.

"AAAHH!"

"THAT GET YOUR ATTENTION MUDDAFUCKA? GOOD, CAUSE LISTEN UP! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SCHRIENER WAS IN THE BLIMP?"

"I didn't know! I don't know all of zhat classified information! Only mein superiors have access!" Hans squealed. Abhy walked over to Phoenix and put her hand on his shoulder. "Phoenix, baby, simmer down. He's not in the condition to be stressed like this."

Walking out of the room, he went to take a nap.

Chapter XV: Autophobia

Phoenix awakened in a cave. "What the fuck... Where in the fuck am I?"

He heard faint whispers from inside the cave. The area he was in had no entrance or exit. It was a circular pit. Phoenix suddenly starting patting himself down, and pulled a cigarette lighter out of his pocket. Flicking it with his fingernail, it sparked a miniscule flame, illuminating a small area. "Where..."

Above him were hanging bodies. "HOLY- FREAKING JEEZ!"

Then some of the bodies fell. One of them was Abhy's. Phoenix sprinted over to it, and turned it over. "ABHY! ABHY! BABE, YOU ALRIGHT! PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE OKAY!"

"Oh, she ain't."

Phoenix flinched, and turned around, falling over Abhy's corpse. Phoenix himself was standing there, all calm, with his mask on. The real Phoenix shook his head. "You're not fucking real!"

"Oh I'm as real as you are, boy! Now pay attention, because I'm gonna show you something you can NOT. Fucking. Unsee." The doppleganger removed his mask, revealed the grisly, fleshy, and skull-faced grin underneath. Phoenix pulled a pistol out of nowhere and started firing an unlimited amount of bullets. The doppleganger fell over, then stood back up without using his hands. "Thinking about killing someone doesn't kill them, boy. Why would you test it out on yourself?"

"WHO ARE YOU? WHADDYA WANT FROM ME?"

"Phoenix, I'm you."

Phoenix charged forwards and punched the man's head off of his neck. Then a Nazi's severed head took the place of it on the neck. "EIN JUDE! EIN JUDE!"

Abhy was standing up right behind Phoenix. "Why didn't you save me sooner, Phoenix?"

Phoenix closed his eyes, holding his skull. "Quit talking to me, I know you're not real! I can see through that shit and I won't TAKE IT!"

Then Pete stood up, as one of the corpses that fell off of the ceiling. "You think I'm a wimp just because I got a stab wound? What kind of a friend are you, Phoenix?"

Stanley appeared out of the darkness. "Don't you think EVERY... SINGLE... THING you've done is kind of out of anger? You went to the deep sector to free your wife, but you didn't release everyone else. And you destroyed the computer in the process."

"PISS OFF! I'M WARNING YOU!"

Hans rose out of the ground, prosthetic legs and all. "I did everything you said. And you still treat me like ein SWINE! Mein Fuhrer vas right! You are ze scum of ze Earth!"

A stalactite fell from the ceiling, and impaled Phoenix through his chest. "AAAARGHHH!"

He attempted repeatedly to pull it out. "C'MON!"

Spitting out blood, he watched the other Phoenix walk over to him. "You think this is the best your mind can do?"

The others peeled their faces off.

"Then you better get ready to get fucked up."

Phoenix went through several violent and gory flashing images. Yellow shaded flashbacks highlighting the violent and ruthless tone Phoenix has been using throughout his journey to murder Nazis, get his wife back, and kill the kidnapper of his wife. Then the pit opened up, and Phoenix fell through. Skydiving while impaled, he looked up to see he was falling out of the blimp. And then Phoenix landed splat in the middle of his neighborhood street. Pete, Abhy, Hans, and Stanley all surrounded him, laughing. Then Schriener lit himself a cigar, poured gasoline on Phoenix's corpse, and ignited it into flames.

"In der Hölle brennen, Amerikaner."

Chapter XVI: The Long Haul

"The real monster isn't the monster itself. It's what's inside of it. Killing it doesn't kill it, but it makes it change forms into a new creature, worse than the last."

Pete was tinkering in the garage, working on the special combat boots for Phoenix. He inserted a metal slide in the leather print of the boot and stitched it up. "Yes..." Phoenix walked in between the doorway and knocked on the door. Spinning around on the stool, he saw Phoenix. "Phoenix, my man! What can I do for you?"

"Nothing, what've you been up to?"

Phoenix oversaw his engineering. "Well ever since college, the engineering products were kind of easy. And making this is pretty hard."

He nodded. "Well I can help you out if you want..."

"Nah, man. You're the one that's advancing us, you deserve a break."

"There's no breaks in war. You can't just- Like, stop a war just because someone got a splinter," Phoenix made an example. Peter laughed and stopped from his work. "You know I know that, right. I supplied ammunition."

"Ya filled magazines and loaded shotguns. How many people did you kill?"

"Fifteen."

"My count was 54."

"GodDAMN! Now that's an example right there."

Abhy drilled in the final bolt in Hans' prosthetic leg. "Alright, I think this is the last thing to make your leg." Hans lifted his new leg up in the air. "How do you feel, Hans?"

"Like I was before."

"But... how exactly did your legs get crushed?"

"Un panzer ran my legs over." Abhy then lowered her head in front of him. "A panzer?"

She then remembered the sign at the prison, labeled, "PANZER." Panzer meant "tank" in German. "You were run over by a tank you mean?"

Stanley entered the building and walked over to Phoenix. "Phoenix, listen man, remember when you found me?"

"Of course I do."

"Yeah, well I was part of a resistance group. They were getting raided when I went to go buy beer, can we try to help them out?" Stanley pleaded Phoenix. He sighed, looking down, and asked, "They could mean an asset to us... Alright. I'll take you with me, Pete you stay here and manage those two."

Stanley and Phoenix exited the garage and hopped on the choppercycle. "You guide me to where they are, alright? And you better hold on."

Stanley sat down on the back and said, "Gotcha."

Phoenix instantly sped off, with Stanley holding on for dear life. "I DIDN'T SAY I WAS READY YET!"
