He laughed

I shook my head, “Never. I’ll always love you more.”

“We’ll love each other the same.” He said, “But I’ll love you more.” He muttered quietly

I sighed, “Stop lying. Liar.”

“I’m not lying.” He laughed kissing my forehead

“Suuuuure.” I said slowly, drawing it out

He shook his head, “You’re so stubborn.”

“Yes, I am.” I smiled into his neck

“We’re here!” Jaheim yelled getting out

“I don’t wanna be here!” I whined clutching Mal

“We have to finish last period.” Mal laughed

“Nu-uh! We can leave. Like, NOW!” I yelled

He opened the door and stepped out. I quickly jumped off him and looked around. Everyone was in class.

“Jerk!” I glared and grabbed my purple backpack

Purple is pretty and awesome.

“It got you to get off me.” He chuckled

I put a funny face on then started to stomp away. He chuckled behind me and I grabbed Jaheim’s hand.

“Eimy?” I asked swinging our hands together

“Yes, Ann?” He asked

“Did you know you’re my best friend?” I questioned looking up at him, “And that I love you?”

“Yes and yes. I love you too.” He smiled down at me

I beamed at him and swung our hands faster. Reaching behind me, I grabbed Malachi’s hand and pulled him to my side. I swung both my hands now.

I looked over at Sunnie and groaned, “I need more hands!”

They laughed as we walked into the school building just as the bell rang.

“Whoopsie daisy! Schools out! Let’s go!” I yelled turning around

“What time is it?” Sunnie asked

Jenny got out her phone and flipped it open, “3:35. School’s out.”

“Yes!” I cheered letting go of the boys’ hands to do a little dance, “Oh yeah, oh yeah!” I said doing the Spongebob ‘Bring it around time’

“Alright, let’s go home.” Brian suggested to Jenny, his sister

She nodded, “Bye guys!”

“Bye!” I screamed waving at her back

“Wait, Brian! Take me home?!” Alicia asked running after them

“Let’s go bestie, bf!” I smiled and skipped to Jaheim’s truck

I jumped into the passenger side and buckled up quickly. Mal groaned and got in back.

I laughed, “Ha ha.”

“Shut it.” He glared

I smiled and Jaheim started the car. Hallelujah!

“Took ya long enough!” I shook my head, disappointed

He rolled his eyes and pulled out of the school lot. We drove to my house where Mal and I got out.

“Bye, Eimy! I lurv you!” I yelled waving at him

“Bye, Ann. Love you too.” He smiled and drove away

I skipped into my house with Mal trailing behind me at a SUPER slow pace, “Honey, I’m hooooome!” I yelled into my empty house

“You live here alone, Ari. Nobody‘s here.” Mal sighed dropping his backpack by the door

“I know. Just felt right.” I shrugged as I bounced into the kitchen

I’m hungry again.

“You’re hungry AGAIN?” Mal asked shocked

“Yes, Sir, I am.” I nodded raiding my fridge

“We’ll go to dinner later if there isn’t any food.” Mal suggested laying down on my counter

“Mmkay!” I smiled and grabbed a bottle of water

I started skipping around the kitchen singing Hannah Montana.

“You get the beeeeest of both worlds! Mix it all together! Whoa yeah!” I sung dancing around, “Dance with me, Mal!” I smiled grabbing his hand

He laughed and jumped off the counter, grabbing my waist. I leaned up and kissed him passionately.

He groaned and pulled me against him, “I love you, so much.”

I kissed him slower, showing him how much I love him. He moaned at the intensity of the kiss and pushed me against the wall.

He licked my bottom lip slowly and I eagerly opened for him. When his tongue met mine the sparks grew stronger.

I cupped his face between both of my hands and deepened the kiss. I moaned as he started rubbing circles on my hips.

I pulled back for air and leaned my head back against the wall.

“Wow.” Mal panted resting his head on my shoulder

“I knoooooow!” I chuckled kissing his cheek

Knock. Knock. Knock.

“Who is it?” I called out as Mal lifted his head from my shoulder

“Ash!”

I groaned, “Doesn’t he ever leave me alone?”

“I’ll be upstairs.” Mal sighed stepping away

I pressed my lips to his, “See you in a minute.”

I ran to the door and threw it open, “Wazzup, Asher?!”

“Nothing, just wanted to see if we were still going on that date tomorrow.” He smiled

“We are.” I assured

“Okay, that’s all I wanted to know.” He leaned forward and kissed my cheek

I frowned but quickly rearranged my face into a smile when he pulled back, smiled and ran to his car.

I waved as he pulled out of my driveway and down the street, out of view. I slammed the door shut and started scrubbing my cheek with my shirt.

“Malachi! Get me acid!” I yelled running up the stairs, “I need to burn my cheek off!” I yelled running into my room like a crazy women

Mal sat up worried, “Why? What happened?”

“M-my cheek! My beautiful cheek!” I cried into his chest

He was tense, “What’d he do?”

“Kissed my precious cheek!” I pouted looking into his eyes, “Make it better.” I said with puppy dog eyes

He smiled and leaned forward. He. Licked. My. Cheek.

Who does that?!

I stared at him blankly, “Why’d you lick me?”

“You told me to make it better.” He shrugged closing his eyes

“I meant kiss it, Mister. Not lick it.” I said scrunching my face up

He shrugged again, “I did what I had to for your safety.”

“Whatever.” I laughed wrapping my arm around his waist

“I mean, you could’ve died and it would’ve been my fault for not licking it.” He said with wide eyes

I looked at him strangely, “You hang around with me too much.”

He laughed, “No, not enough.”

“You’re around me all the time.” I scoffed

“You don’t want me around?” He asked with fake tears shining in his eyes

“Nope.” I smirked laying my head on his chest

“Ahhhhh! I’m so sad.” He said with a thick voice

I rolled my eyes and poked his stomach, “I was just kidding, faker.”

“Oh, okay. I’m better now.” He laughed kissing the top of my head

I laughed, “I want to get PINK in my hair!”

I sat up with wide eyes and nodded my head frantically.

“But, your hair is already red. What’s the difference?” Mal asked confused

“Pink and red are TOTALLY different.” I grinned, “I’m doin’ it.” I stated

He shrugged, “Okay.”

“We should go get the dye.” I suggest straddling him

He looked down at our hips pressed together before looking into my eyes, his lust filled.

Smirking, I leaned down and kissed him slowly.

There was ANOTHER knock on the door! Gosh!

I groaned, “I’mma kill somebody.”

Mal laughed and grabbed the back of my neck, smashing our lips together. He kissed me so hard it made me dizzy.

He pulled back and whispered, “Go get the door.”

I narrowed my eyes at him, “Jerk.”

I hopped off him and threw him one more glare before running down stairs. I flung the door open to come face-to-chest with Mal’s Dad.

“Hi, Daddy.” I smiled giving him a one arm hug

“Hey, sweetie. Is Malachi here?” He asked walking into the house

I nodded, “Mal! Get down here!”

“What?” He asked

“I said, Get down here!”

“Ugh!” He groaned and a second later he was at the foot of the stairs, “Oh, hey, Dad.” He smiled

“Hey, Son. We have a pack dinner tonight. You and Annie have to come.” He said looking at me

I shrugged, “Okie-dokie!”

“What’s the dinner for?” Mal frowned

“There’s a rogue on the loose.” Russell said vaguely

Mal nodded, “We’ll be there.”

“Wait, wait, wait! Do I have to wear a dress again?” I groaned

Russ chuckled, “Yes. It‘s at 5 o’ clock.” Then walked out the door

“Gosh!” I yelled like Napoleon Dynamite, “I hate dresses! They make you seem all…girly!” I pouted and plopped onto my couch

“Well, if it makes it easier to wear one, you look beautiful in them.” Mal smiled and pulled me onto his lap

I shook my head, “Doesn’t make it easier.”

He laughed, “Didn’t expect it too.”

I glared at him, “It’s your fault.”

“How?!” He asked, shocked

“If you weren’t the Alpha, we wouldn’t have to go.” I stated wrapping my arms around his neck

“We’d still have to go if we were in the pack.” He said moving me so I was straddling him

“Yeah, but I wouldn’t have to wear a dress.”

“Yes, you would.” He laughed

“Fine. I would. Let me blame you!” I pouted, “Is Asher going to be there?” I frowned

“He’s not in our pack, Ari.” Mal pointed out

“Oh, yeah.” I said tilting my head to the side slightly

He laughed softly and looked into my eyes, “I love you.”

I smiled and places my lips gently on his. “I can’t even explain how much I love you.”

I pulled back and rested my forehead against his. He smiled and pecked my lips.

“What’re you doing on your…date tomorrow?” He chocked on the word date

“It’s not a date, Mal.” I sighed, “Nothing extreme is going to happen. But I do have to act like I like him.” I said judging his reaction

He nodded slowly, “If he touches you in any way you don’t like. Call me.”

“I will.” I assured with a smile

“Do you have to kiss him?” He winced

“It’s the first ‘date’, Mal. You don’t really kiss.” I laughed

He sighed in relief, “Whew! Good.”

I rolled my eyes and got up, “Shower time!”

His eyes lit up and he hopped up.

“No.” I said before he could asked

He sighed heavily and sat back down, “Fine.”

Laughing, I skipped up stairs.
