THURSDAY, 11.03-11.16 A.M.

There's been one word too much, the tension's been building up
A line overstepped, he knows that he's had enough
Nothing else to be done, he tells himself while remembering
Time to go - they're to blame - show 'em - be out of everything
He's ready to go
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
So here we go

He knows what he is, so who'd want him to stay
He's no good, got no friends, got no hope, got no way
Worthless and wrong, every day proves his uselessness
Sucker, loser, freak, weirdo, scared, left out, ridiculous
He's ready to go
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
So here we go

Planning, polishing, packing
Letter to Mummy and Daddy
Sleeps well at night, it's surprising
Coffee and cereals for breakfast
Then he's off, and we're ready to go

He starts at eleven as the room cuts his mind to bits
He's fast and he's laughing, feels he was meant for it
The gun shouts for him as he lashes out greedily
Erasing ten years of scalding red memories
He's ready to go
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
So here we go

He blasts out their laughter, their words and his helplessness
Conversations, advice, well-expressed uselessness
Isolation, pain, fear, touches, rage, hopelessness
Unanswered questions, hate in large quantities
Plus hate plus hate plus hate plus hate plus more than that
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
Words won't change a thing but bullets will
So here we go

He blasts out his thoughts and his feelings
Those who brought them about and those who joined in
And those who didn't bother to help him
And the one who's to blame for it all, that's, himself
And the blood covers up pain and rage, rooms and smells
And young lives, treasured hopes
Blackboard sounds, unused books
Peace of mind, loving hearts
Ten years' time, ten years' time
And he's gone, and they're gone
It's all gone - things have changed

SEE HER

Here she comes so shiny, people say that she looks strange
She makes the brick stones burn, she makes the rainbows change
She's walking through the town
She gets me high and down
Hey, have you seen her?
Here she comes so lightly, she's looking at you all
She's melting my brain, she's graffiti on the wall
She's walking through the town
She gets me high and down
Hey, have you seen her?
Here she comes so gently, stopping at the corner shop
She's bringing in her darkness, she's silence cracking up
She's walking through the town
She gets me high and down
Hey, have you seen her?
She's the dark side of the sun, she's a dream on the run
She's despair and she's hope, she's candy and dope
She's dangerous just 'cos she's herself
She's the only one can help
She's coming closer, can't you see
She's coming closer mesmerising me
Hey, hey, hey, can you see her coming?

SILVER LOVE

Sweet sweet darkness, don't get up
Sweet sweet sadness, sweet sweet love
Blood flows softly, feels like rain
You lie in the dark kissing the pain
Gentle pains crisscross, relief in the heat
Your cries taste bitter but the pain is sweet
Sweet sweet darkness, tender cut
Sweet sweet sadness, don't get up

Sweet sweet razor, sweet sweet heart
Sweet sweet blade in the silken dark
Soothing cuts, silvery grey
Beautiful flowers begin to decay
War inside, voices pleading
You'll be begging for the pain with your lips a-bleeding
Lick the razor, sweet sweet blood
The blade's as gentle as a lover's touch

Sweet sweet darkness, sweet sweet love
Lie on the floor and don't get up
There's pain in your body, there's blood on the floor
You hear laughter and you can't open the door
Dissolve in your pain, there's help in that heat
Love may be lost but the pain is so sweet
Sweet sweet darkness, don't get up
Sweet sweet sadness, sweet sweet love
Sweet sweet sadness, sweet sweet love
Sweet sweet sadness, sweet sweet ...

THE GHOSTS' PARK

Mould on the ceiling, three layers of clothing
But you're still shivering and trembling - down to zero
You're covered in sweat
The walls start to spin, and the dampness creeps in
You're coming down and down and down
The mainer's right there, but you wonder who you'd be
If it were as it was, if you left yourself here
The lovely needle glistens and the darkness it listens
And the rain starts falling down

The city is cold and the city is wet
And it's got everything you need
Full of the white stuff, full of the brown stuff
Full of the stuff that is never enough
So many days, so many nights
Of walking through the neon lights
Walking through the ghosts' park
Stumbling through the darkness
Sweaty hands and shaky feet
Lost in an unforgiving street
While the rain was beating down
Sleeping on the rain-drenched meadow
Underneath the starry sky
Waking from your morning shivers
All those nice guys walking by
That phantom woman she was white-faced
Drowsy, sleepy, dopey, lovely
And you turned away, your eyes closed
Then the rain came falling down

The city is cold, and there's them on your trail
The past isn't over, they're the scars on your wrists
They're the sticky shadows at your boot heels
And the world reels
You turn and spin and lose your way
And you end up where you started
Coming down and down and down

You're crawling the walls of a cool damp room
Fingernails ripping the wallpaper
Bloodstains on the blanket, bloodstains on the mirror
Vomit on the carpet, bloodstains on the sheets
Glass splinters lie in a puddle of wine
Melting candles make them shine
As the day turns into night
And the world moves out of sight
And your body turns you down
Blood that's dropping from your bones
Tints the floor, a perfect red
Falls softly while you're going mad
Till you cook and you stir
And you tie and you press and you shoot
And then there's that ultimate comfort
And you fall into that ultimate peace
And glancing at the window you smell the scorched truth
Beating time with your finger tips
Grinding your teeth, trying to breathe
The clock goes on ticking, the cold goes on biting
And the rain keeps beating down
And the rain's still beating down
Yeah, the rain keeps beating down
The rain is beating down
