AUTHOR'S POV:

Lily and Ava were laughing as Lily speed up to the mall.

"That was fun," Lily said and Ava tittered.

"And, oh my God their faces, when the man kicked them," Ava said and they both burst out laughing again.

They were now going through a narrow path, surrounded by trees. Ava rolled down her window and took a deep breath of the fresh air. Fall has just began and Ava loves everything about this season. The orange and brown leaves gives her a sense of happiness. The zephyr filled her lungs, making her sigh in delight. They were going smoothly while talking and laughing. Soft music was playing on the radio. Lily took a turn, and Ava gasped. They were now driving on a cliff, and a beautiful sea was flowing below. Ava was awed at the beautiful scenery. They were talking, when all of a sudden, a strong force collided with their car making them jerk forward harshly. Ava looked at Lily and they both looked back, but no one was there.

"What was that,"? Ava asked still looking around.

"I don't kn...," Lily started but another strong force collided with their car. The car screeched, Lily tried rotating the steering wheel, but another hard blow came and the car lost its balance. It started rolling down the cliff. Ava and Lily's heart were drubbing violently. They gripped their seat belts tightly. Lily was desperately looking around, for anything to hold on to, but there was none. She looked at Ava who was also trying her best. She knew they have no other option.

"We have to jump," Lily said and Ava looked at her. Ava looked ahead to see that they were about to fall into the sea. They both nodded and started opening their seat belts. Lily opened her seat belt and looked at Ava. Ava's seat belt was stuck. She desperately tried opening it but, it didn't open. Lily screamed when their car hit a stone.

"Come on Ava, jump," saying this Lily opened her door and jumped out of the car. Ava desperately fumbled with the seat belt. Her heart was jackhammering in her chest. Cold sweat glistened on her face and neck. She desperately yanked the seat belt but, it was not opening.

Ava smiled and sight in relief when the belt opened but a scream left her mouth when the car rolled down to the sea. Lily screamed and ran towards the sea. She screamed Ava's name but no response. She quickly ran towards the car, which was now drowned in the water, only the upper part was showing. Lily jumped in the water and swam to the car. She quickly opened the gate but the car was empty. She desperately checked again but she was nowhere.

"Ava," Lily yelled. Her hands were shaking and tears were streaming from her eyes. She swam under the water but Ava was nowhere.

"Ava," Lily cried looking around. She quickly ran towards the woods and searched for her but she was nowhere. Desperately, she ran towards the sea again and looked around yelling for Ava. She saw something shiny on the ground, picking up a sob that racked through her body, as she recognized it as Ava's ring. She could herself no longer and fell to the ground in a disheveled heap as the pain flowed through a flood of tears.

IN THE PACKHOUSE:

Alpha Kevin and Alpha Xavier were in Alpha Kevin's office, working on the current situation when suddenly, Alpha Xavier felt a gut-wrenching pain in his chest. A sense of emptiness washed over his body. He clutched his heart and closed his eyes.

"MATE," Zion whimpered and Alpha Xavier opened his eyes in alarm.

"What," Alpha Xavier asked his wolf. His heart was sinking. He was having an unpleasant feeling about it.

"MATE," Zion whimpered and went to the back of his mind.

"Alpha Xavier," Alpha Kevin asked and Alpha Xavier looked at him.

"Are you okay,"? Alpha Kevin asked and he nodded absentmindedly.

Alpha Kevin was about to say something when they heard a commotion outside. Both the Alphas went outside of the office to the living room. Alpha Kevin growled when he saw Lily, all bloodied in the living room. Lily's head snapped towards him and she ran towards him. Lily wrapped her arms around him and cried hysterically. Alpha Xavier looked behind her but, Ava wasn't there.

"What happened,"? Alpha Kevin asked.

"Where's Ava,"? Alpha Xavier asked.

Lily turned to Alpha Xavier and looked at the ground. She then began telling them everything. As soon as Lily finished, she was pressed against the wall, and Alpha Xavier's eyes were blood red. He growled and squeezed her neck. Lily coughed and tried scratching his hand but he didn't let go. Gasps and whispering can be heard but, Alpha Xavier didn't listen to anything.

Another growl resonated in the living room. Alpha Kevin charged toward them and attacked Alpha Xavier from behind. Alpha Xavier stumbled forward but quickly gained his balance. Both the Alphas growled at each other and Alpha Xavier punched Alpha Kevin in his face making him growl. Alpha Kevin wiped the blood from his lower lip and kicked Alpha Xavier. Soon, they both started fighting. Both were bloodied but before they could kill each other, Lily ran towards Alpha Kevin and hugged him tightly. Alpha Kevin's body relaxed in her embrace. Alpha Kevin closed his eyes and breathed in her scent. He looked at Alpha Xavier and pushed Lily behind him.

"Alpha Xavier, I can understand what you are feeling but, it's not Lily's fault," Alpha Kevin said calmly, knowing one wrong word and Alpha Xavier won't spare his mate.
