were picking each hound and neutralizing them.

By this time, the Skull Warrior had gained enough energy to sit up. He muttered some spells though he was not fully conscious.

The Scavenger kicked Osay away and sent a lightning bolt towards the Skull Warrior to break his chanting.

But it seemed too late. From inside the darkness of the dimension, hundreds of skeletons started spewing out. The dimension was slowly fading and had now almost turned grey.

James, Daniel and Archer rushed to fight the skeletons, but their Elemental Powers were not proving to be effective against these creatures. The roots and water just passed through the skeletons. Only Archer’s fire was able to burn the skeleton’s bones to ashes.

The Skull Warrior started shaking as he tried to stand up.

The Scavenger and Osay were engaged in a one-to-one fight. The Scavenger felt everything going out of control. Was this how it would end?

Then it happened.

The clouds in the skies opened up, and a ray of light fell from it to the ground. As the light ray disappeared, it revealed five figures.

The environment was full of energy as these figures raised their hands and started chanting spells.

The Gods had arrived.

Paragon, the leader of the Gods, stood at the front, wearing grey armour, and holding a spear in his right hand.

Rath had the form of a tiger, and his hand had claws, ready to fight.

Oni looked determined. He had been cured of the injuries inflicted on him earlier while fighting with the Skull Warrior.

No One stood beside Paragon. He stared at the army of skeletons that had dropped out of the dimension.

The Gods started chanting spells in unison. No One, the King of the Undead, started to summon Godly creatures to counter the skeletons that had dropped out from the dimension. Rath attacked the demons around him with vigour, slashing his claws around and reducing the demons to vapour.

Oni and Paragon leapt towards the Skull Warrior. Beams of light shot out from their hands. The Skull Warrior blocked the beams by creating a black shield around him.

The Scavenger knew he had to push the Skull Warrior inside the dimension before it closed. He summoned a lightning bolt from the sky.

The Gods sent beams of light shooting towards the Skull Warrior.

James, Archer and Daniel used their Elemental Powers to the full while consuming energy serums.

The combined attacks got the Skull Warrior pushed nearer and nearer to the dimension, which was slowly fading out.

Osay twirled and hit the Scavenger hard. The very next moment, the Scavenger summoned heavy lightning bolts on Osay, rendering him unconscious.

The Scavenger knew that only the Slayer’s power could push the Skull Warrior into the dimension. He desperately tried to take the Slayer out of Matt’s hands, but it was stuck. Paragon and Oni chanted a spell, but the Slayer could not be freed.

The Scavenger lifted Matt in his arms. The chief of Gods, Paragon, chanted a spell and touched Matt’s forehead, “I have pumped all our divine energy into Matt. In a few moments, he will regain consciousness, but only for five seconds. He will listen to whatever instructions you give to him during this time.”

The Scavenger kept Matt standing on the ground while firmly holding him from behind.

James continued to throw piercing ice at the Skull Warrior. Daniel roots had entangled the Skull Warrior’s legs effectively. Archer’s fire blobs were preventing the Skull Warrior from concentrating.

Suddenly, Matt opened his eyes.

The Scavenger was prepared. The Scavenger dragged Matt towards the Skull Warrior, holding him tight. While rushing him towards the dimension, he whispered in Matt’s ears, “Use the Slayer and banish the Skull Warrior into the dimension!”

Matt raised his hand and summoned the power of the Slayer.

The Gods were frantically chanting spells.

The dimension had almost greyed out and was about to close.

The Scavenger yelled.

With all his might, Matt plunged the Slayer into the Skull Warrior’s chest. The powerful thrust of the Slayer pushed the Skull Warrior onto the edge of the dimension.

Matt lost his consciousness.

In five seconds of consciousness, Matt had executed his task with eternal perfection.

As the Slayer entered the Skull Warrior’s chest, Pyros shouted, “SAVE MATT!”

The Scavenger immediately threw the unconscious Matt back towards the children and kicked the Skull Warrior hard.

With a massive roar, the Skull Warrior fell into the dimension.

Thomas and Pyros held onto Matt.

The Gods leapt over to the vanishing dimension and shot rays of light into it, preventing the Skull Warrior from leaping outside.

The dimension still hadn’t closed down completely. The Gods had to hold on for a few more moments.

A massive sound shook everyone.

“NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!” Osay shrieked.

Osay ran as fast as lightning towards the Gods, who were trying to keep the Skull Warrior inside the dimension.

The Scavenger crashed against Osay, and the two toppled to the ground. Pyros sent magic waves crashing towards Osay, preventing him from reaching the dimension.

Osay and the Scavenger wrestled. The fate of the Dark World, and the Universe rested on these final moments.

The children and Thomas leapt at Osay. Pyros tried to drive a sword into Osay’s head, but Osay sent him flying with a kick.

Suddenly, Skazen came from behind and encircled his left arm around Osay’s neck. He placed his right hand firmly on Osay’s masked face. Osay immediately turned and kicked Skazen hard.

But as Skazen fell off, his right hand pulled off Osay’s mask.

The Scavenger and the children were shocked. It was as if time had stopped.

Osay’s face was revealed to be someone whom they knew... whom they had journeyed with... whom they had trusted... during their earlier adventure in the Dark World when they had taken on the Skull Warrior.

URRAX.

Urrax plunged his sword towards a bewildered Scavenger. The Scavenger ducked the attack just in time.

Meanwhile, the Skull Warrior was desperately trying to get out of the dimension before it faded away. Strong gusts of winds and heat were coming out of the dimension. The Gods were finding it challenging to continue keeping the Skull Warrior inside. Pyros rushed towards the Gods to assist
