Right. I think to myself as I scan my sister Thalia's empty room. It looks like a tornado ran through it. Ugh, where do I start? I pace frantically around the room. My breath hitches, my eyes start to water. Breathe. It's in that second when I think "breathe" I realize that I can't. Water. My lungs are filling with it. My eyes search wildly around the room, for someone, anyone. "Need a-a-ai-air." I stutter and choke violently. Someone help me! My phone. I need it. I use the last of my strength to reach into my back pocket and grab it. I type in a random number, thinking I'm texting my sister, and choke.

"H-help me. Call a-a-an ambu-ambulance p-p-please. M-my ad-ress is 2121 c-cherry tr-ee l-la-lane." The frantic voice of whoever was on the receiving end gasped. The last words that I hear are "I'm coming right now."

I wake up to hushed voices. 

"Is she going to be okay?" I manage a weak smile.

"I-I thi-think she i-i-s." 

"She's awake!" A doctor yelled. My vision fully adjusts from the blur that it was before only to find Thalia and an unfamiliar boy. As my vision gets clearer, I notice he's not so unfamiliar. 

"You." I glare at this man-child.

(Told from Liams POV)

"Hey, Lou!" I called out to the most popular boy in school, AKA my best friend.

"What." He said unenthusiastically. 

"Remember? Today's the day. April 1st. We've had the plan for months. When Nia's crew meet up at the park, we ambush them and tie them to trees!!"

"Oh yeah, It'll so be payback for ambushing us with water balloons."

"See you at the park!"

"Lou, I see them!" I say excitedly into the walkie talkie. 

"Great." He replies nonchalantly. "I'm gonna grab Liu, and Mike's gonna take Eliza."

"Oh, okay so I have to get Nia?" I ask

"Yup."

"On the count of three. 1, 2, 3!"

We made a mad dash for our targets, and Liu and Eliza didn't see us coming. But Nia did. As Liu wrestled against Lou, and Eliza kicked Mike, I made a mad dash to where Nia headed. I could hear Nia's breathing. A man sighed. "Come out little girl... I won't hurt you..." I look around, confused. I look back to the trees. I saw Liu and Eliza thrashing against their bonds. I didn't see the men behind me. I turned around, intending to continue to search for Nia, and I saw them. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" I screamed an ran. This was not funny at all. I ran towards the trees when I realized that Liu, Mike, Lou, and Eliza were all gone. I stop in disbelief. What was happening? I had no idea. At that moment a man whacked my head and dragged me away. I woke up inside a truck, sitting beside Liu and Eliza. The doors to the truck opened, and a man carried in an unconscious Mike. The short, Asian, Liu, looked terrified. I bet this was far beyond math for her. Then, after Mike woke up, there was Nia, and then after Nia, there was Lou. 

Nia stared daggers into my eyes, and I felt horrible. This wasn't how this was meant to go at all. Last year we had a blast together, and now? We were getting kidnapped. Luckily, before the truck started to move, a man noticed that Liu was gone, her neighbor, and started running towards the truck, with nine one one on speed dial. The men ran off in fear, one of them dropping the keys for the truck. The man opened it and found us inside.
