Chapter One

As I stood here, in the small entry room. I wondered for the twenty-fifth time. What the fuck I was doing here? Handing over several papers inside an envelope to the ugly, battle-scared security that stood behind his desk.

Glancing down at myself and up again at the ogre. Wrapping my arms around my naked body, taking a step back. Bumping into a tall, broad-shouldered man. Rich dark hair curling at the nape, widows peak. Potent grey eyes. His lips twitched and I sucked in a breath, dropping my arms.

This stranger. My date. Positively oozed rich and powerful. Not noticing the other guys that enter the private club. Licking my dry lips as he leaned in, searching my face in the dim light. Feeling a prickling sensation as his eyes bore into me.

"Are you okay?"

I shook my head. His scent crisp, masculine and intoxicating. My belly fluttering as he cupped my face in his hand.

"Now was the time to cut and run." I tell myself.
