I stepped onto the court outside a large high school, my new school. I observed the school, and what I find is my worst nightmare, jocks, cheerleaders, more jocks, and emos.
“Wonderful, right,” I murmured quietly to myself as I looked around, one unfamiliar face started at me amused as if he heard my comment. I shook my head and shifted my bag to a more comfortable spot on my back. I close my eyes wishing I was back at the foster home snuggled into the scratchy bed, which was better than here. Opening my eyes reluctantly, I scanned over the crowd again and bedlam broke out. Oh wonderful, a fight on my first day. Each year I move to a different foster home, mostly ones in different states so I’ve seen everything there is in my years of moving. So whenever I hear someone rush to a circle of people, it’s most likely a fight or an aftermath of a fight. I surveyed the area where it was coming from and heard a Barbie stick figure scream stop and another cheerleader saying the same, obviously the girlfriends of the ones fighting. I roll my eyes and walk over there. Once I reached them I whistled, automatically they stopped and starred at where the sound came from in disgust.
I sighed and walked away from the drama. I thought us seniors are suppose to be mature. I stumbled and fell flat on my face. You’d think being a werewolf would have you alert all the time, but you see I’m my own kind of werewolf, this kind is very clumsy. I got up and an arm snaked around my waist, I grabbed the wrist of the arm and painfully (to the person) twist it to their back. I went on my tiptoes till my mouth was at his ear level.
“I don’t play nice,” I whispered then bite his ear, and then I let go him. He stepped away from me quickly as if I was a threat. Me a threat, pssh, crazy.
“That hurt,” he growled rubbing his arm.
“It wasn’t supposed to feel good,” I retorted and stalked away towards the office for my schedule.
I opened the door with a lot of force only to have it slam back hard. Walking up to the lady sitting in a chair looking over a bunch of papers, I rang the bell that was in front of me. She popped her head up and examined me.
“Um, I’m here for my schedule.” She had a confused look on her face then replayed the words in her head and jumped up out of her sat and ran to the back, then came back 2 minutes later with a paper at hand.
“So, you’re the infamous Elizabeth Smith,” she said astonished, at that reaction I look pass my shoulder looking to see if she was astonished at something else.
“Am I, missing something, I could’ve sworn I wore pants.” I look down to see my bare legs, but the hem of my dress at my thigh. “Or not,” I continued looking around. I was wearing a white sun dress and light brown loafers, for women. The lady at the front laughed with a large grin, making me frown. She is defiantly hiding something.
I heard the bell ring and I started to make my way out to the hall before being trampled. Then I heard people chanting fight again, I roll my eyes. This time I don’t stop it I just look at the guys who keep fighting, jocks, oh lord why me. I step threw the crowd and they look at me like I’m crazy, even the jocks stop fighting to look then start right up. I sigh then whistle like before. They stop and back up just to stare at me like I was even crazier, I just started walking towards my homeroom. Mr. Woodmen, that’s an odd last name. As I step into the room I noticed no one was there and I groaned, Mr. Woodmen looked at me then smiled.
“At least one student came instead of fought,” he whispered to himself and with that everyone started rushing in to their seats. When they were done I was still standing my smirk is now a frown. I was here first and I don’t even get a say in my seat, tsk tsk. I took the seat next to the window one of the only ones left.
“Everyone we have a…” he was cut off by the door being pushed open then slammed. Everyone gasped at the bloody boy who was the one fighting. I rolled my eyes and waited for the teacher to continue, then he did but he started with the lesson, I only half listened until I heard my name.
“Huh,” I mumbled then looked at him his finger flexing telling me to come here. I arched a brow but did as he said.
“Okay, this is our new student Elizabeth Smith, tell us about yourself,” he stated then left me standing in front of the class.
“Hello, I am Elizabeth Smith, I was previously in Britain, and I love gummy bears,” I told the class with my heavy English accent, all the boys fell in love with it, and the girls envied me. I rolled my eyes and headed for my seat, and plopped down with a large plop. He only talked for 8 minutes until the bell rang and cut him off. I sighed in relief and threw all my stuff into my back pack to head for the door everyone was leaving so I started to go until that familiar arm snaked around my waist again, I reacted the same was and noticed he got beaten up enough. He was the one fighting that weird Barbie stick figure boyfriend.
“Stop that,” I murmur with authority. Everyone within hearing rang flinched except Ken himself, his nickname is that because Barbie, and Ken, you get it? Of course you do. The dude starred at me and stumbled walking away, and out the door, I was about to leave when Mr. Woodmen called me and Ken. I wasn’t fully there so I couldn’t catch Ken’s name.
“Yes Mr. Woodmen,” I hissed not wanting to be here. Ken had the same exact respond. Mr. Woodmen backed away and talked to Ken softly so I couldn’t hear. I felt the anger bubbling, so I tuned into their little conversation.
“You’re father said that there was a werewolf in our territory, exactly when she came into town, I believe she is a werewolf.” Mr. Woodmen was serious and then continued, “she has authority I give her that, your father and I believe she might be your mate.” My eyes widen then I turn so they couldn’t see that thinking I wasn’t listening.
“No, she isn’t, besides if someone from the pack gets hurt she will die,” Ken growled loudly so I could hear it loud and clear. I decided I’ll play dumb for them, oh goodie, drama!
“Oh, what’s a pack is it like a pack of cookies, or a pack of skittles, yummy I love skittles,” I sung with my cheerleader voice, I also looked the part swinging my hands and arms. They turned to me clearly confused.
“No it’s like a family,” Ken retorted, I giggled.
“Families are not packs, their called families silly, besides who would pack their family in a bag.” I giggled more, this is fun. They looked so lost and confused and mad. Well Ken looks mad.
“Besides Mr. Woodmen, she isn’t my mate.” Ken looked at me with disgust as I looked at my nails pretending to be astonished.
“Ahoy mate, that dude is right, I don’t have a best friend,” I said giggling as I said the word ahoy. Ken slammed his fist against Mr. Woodmen’s desk leaving a very large den.
“Dude, you have some super strength, eeep, I’m going to go look for cheerleaders,” I giggled backing up and reach for the door when Ken yells, “stop!” I continue to pull the handle but it was harder because I was disobeying the Alpha.
“Damn,” Ken yelled figuring out I was playing Ms. I don’t know, pretending not knowing about werewolves. He walked up to me with his werewolf speed, grabbing my wrist pushing me to the wall.
“Who are you and what are you doing here,” he demanded, my eyes widen, he thinks I’m going to hurt his pack.
“Elizabeth freaking Smith, I already said that, and I got moved here from a different foster home, now get off me,” I commanded him in my female Alpha voice. Mr. Woodmen flinched as I used that voice, obviously it worked but Ken didn’t move a bit. I can’t believe I’m going to do this. He had me pushed against the wall so he was fairly close to me, so I lean in a kiss him. He was dumbfounded and loosened me, I took advantage of that and pushed him across the room. Mr. Woodmen was huddled behind his desk sneaking up to watch.
“You tricked me,” Ken hissed gathering himself up to stand. I was about to growl a sarcastic remark when the room started circling around me, and it became daze. I felt my legs and everything else become weak. Falling to the floor everything blacked out.
I woke because of that awful noise that happens when you move on the bed at the nurses. Oh that’s where I am, what happen, and then it all came to me the whole thing. What made me faint? I search around the room with my eyes until they saw Ken. Immediately I swing my legs over the bed and walk out of the nurse’s office. When I was in the hall I heard the door open and close and foot steps.
“Were do you think you’re going,” a deep voice growled, Ken. I turned around and saw Barbie stick figure walking over to him. I call her this because of look, she is anorexic, bleached blonde hair, tan skin, and ugly lipstick on. She needs to eat, being anorexic is horrible, gross, and yucky. I turned back on my heel walking to my second period or is it third, I turned back and saw Ken feel a little better each time I took a step closer to him. Even though I was going back to the nurse’s, but he doesn’t need to know that. He was still outside the door, so I move around him and walk into the office.
“Can I call home,” I asked innocently to the nurse, but she shook her head no. I gasped and frowned, that hurt being told no, but I guess I should be used to the word no. I felt a hand grab my arm intently heating it up, then pulled me out of the nurse’s office and
dragging me all the way out to the parking lot. When the hand finally let go I rubbed it.
“What do you want, stranger danger,” I mumbled the last part. He arched a brow then smirked.
“Strangers don’t kiss other strangers.”
“Yes, but you wouldn’t let go,” I retorted as he opened the passenger door for me. I shook my head no, there is no way I’m leaving with someone who isn’t even on a first name basis. He growled
