It was a cold September day i was only six at the time. I always heard noises in the house i was always told to stay in my room, but i didnt know why. My mommy would tell me to go and hide, but where and from who? I always wondered. At night i could hear my mommy crying out in the darkness of our home. Mommy always wore long pants, socks, sweat shirts that covered her neck and all the way to her finger tips, and she always wore so much makeup....

It was that day that i knew what happened to mommy i found the reason behind the clothes and makeup. It was the day mommy died, i was scared i heard mommy crying in her room(daddy came home drunk that night like usual) I could hear daddy screaming at her forcefully. I flinched at his words.

I heard mommy let out a horrifying cry and then everything went silent, i didnt hear daddy screaming and i didnt hear mommy crying anymore. What had happened? I wondered.

I heard daddy coming closer to the door so i ran back to bed and hid under the covers. I fell asleep that night to the sound of the crickets chirping.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of people talking, What we never had anyone over? i wondered who was here.

I got up and slowly opened my door. I saw the people from the hospital, they were carrying something from mommy's room.

I ran to daddy and he was crying.

"Whats wrong?" i asked

"Baby girl something happened to ur mother, its just going to be me and u from now on" he said chocking on his words

I looked at him with tears in my eyes, and i ran to my room I hide under the covers until all those people were gone.
