“I didn’t mean it like that. And you know it.”
“Yes, I do know that, yet it still felt targeted for some odd reason. I wonder what that was about. What do you think?” I looked over and jokingly asked Princess Kelly Rowan would that it was funny and that I was right. That it did feel targeted.
“You know that it wasn’t meant like that, but it could have been said that way to mean something like that. Well, you know there are tons of things that you say that I never throw out of contexts but next time you might want to be extra careful. You know with the way that you word something.” He smiled and came over to me and kissed me. One of those kisses that says I’m going to make you melt every time that I touch you.
“Oh would the two of you go ahead and get a room before, you make us all sick from the pheromones that the two of you are putting off.” Elizabeth said.
“It’s not like you wouldn’t be sucking all over Petey if he was here and you know it. The two of you put out the most pheromones anyone has ever smelled and you know it so don’t go there. I promise you won’t like the outcome. But, umm you make the decision.” I told her as I headed into the kitchen with Huegi and Princess Kelly.
“What do you want me to cook you we have about two hours before classes start for everyone?” He asked.
“I think you might want to ask Princess Kelly first.” I answered him.
“I don’t really care what is cooked or made.” She said.
“Well, I am going to make pancakes and oatmeal.” He stated. “Well, that sounds so delicious.” I said.
Once we had all eaten our fair share of a delicious breakfast made my Huegi, we went to our post and waited for school to officially start. However I more or less waited for students who didn't show this morning to come get their assignments and answer questions or at least the ones I thought were appropriate to answer were other people were listening. I even had to meet with the temporary academy alpha and decide if I wanted just to demote her and everyone below her or have them fight out who was to be my beta. Seeing as I had to be handed the pack, whether I wanted it or not. Basically, they would fight it out until I had a new beta. After that they would be fighting for the rest of the pecking order. But, I was more likely to just demote her and the others seeing as Huegi can't technically join in on pack matters unless I claim him as my mate. But, that would get me killed by my brothers. And I already had one death experiences, I didn't need another one for a while. Just as the last of the students were finishing up getting ready for the exercise to start a commotion broke out in the hall and something inside me instinctively knew that I was needed to go find out what was wrong. So, I walked over to my charge and asked her if she wouldn’t mind coming with me for just a moment to see what was going on.
Once I opened the door to the hall where the commotion was coming from I noticed that it was one of the guys from the academy pack and the temporary former alpha. “I know that she is new the academy this year, but you and I both knew that I was only a temporary alpha for the academy pack. We also know that because she has completely white fur that grants her the pack automatically and there is nothing that I can do to change that.” She said. “Technically you could challenge me for the possession, but if you lost then I wouldn’t be able to demote you to be my beta. You would end up being at the very bottom of the pack totem pole so to speak. One of the things that you will learn about me is that I don’t waste time not knowing things that will come handy knowing. I don’t dilly dally. I spend ninety percent of my time gaining knowledge for everything that I could come in counter with. And I take it that this friend of yours is---- was your beta. I am sorry for that. I never asked for this I didn’t even know that was something that was still practiced. And if there was something I could about it I would, but there isn’t. You know that I am sorry about all of this Trina. I would give the position back if I could without any issues, but we both know that I would have to be dying.” I explained to her.
But he didn't want to have anything to do with what I had to say. So, he just spun around on his heels and stomped off. It took everything for me to just stand there and not make him come back to me. But, I barely had time to get back in the ball room. I would have to deal with that disrespect later, but he could have this moment. And for the next two hours we basically partied and had several conversations with our charges or just followed our charges to where they wanted to be to converse with others. Those in training were to stand close to their charges and pay attention to everything around them.
I went to ask Camilla where her charge was, but then I noticed her standing two feet from her. And in that moment the attacks started, the guardians were going at us most of the charges were pretty well protected. It wasn't until the attacks were almost over and the guardians were being taken to the infirmary that I also noticed that Vixie Craston was having to defend herself and Camilla was just standing there. "Stop!" I ordered everyone and they did. I wasn't going to allow someone under me as head student or in my pack to disobey me in such a defiant, challenge, rebellious way. "Camilla Airea! Over here now!" I ordered her as she walk slowly over to me with her head held high. She probably thought she and I were going to talk about this alone. So, that she could talk her way out of it. With her being a lower pack member and former head student, if the roles were the reverse she would humiliate the other person in front of her. "What the hell was that!?" I ordered from her. "Can't we talk about this in private?" She all but begged me. "Not a chance in hell, Camilla. Vixie Craston is your charge not the other way around. If you are trying make me look bad, you're doing it all wrong. You're only lucky I am not going to pull you completely from training sessions until the actual classes start back. For now you're only pulled from the next two days. Am I clear?" I growled at her. She transformed into her wolf self. And I did the same, we fought hard once I had her under my paw. I used my right front paw to hold down on her neck. And using our ability to talk to each other out loud. "You're not going to finish this or the next three training sessions, Camilla. Am I clear?" I told her. "Ok yes, yes ok. I can't breathe please stop." She begged and I let her up we changed back our human looking forms. "Out of here, go do whatever you want to do. I don’t want to see you for the next two months. You're not to be in training until you've proven yourself or I say otherwise. Am I clear?" I ordered. "Yes, ma'am." She answered. She walked out looking not too grand.
Everyone just stood there staring at me for one long minute. Their faces in various stages of awe, shock, and wary. I decided that the only thing that I cared about was that she was going to think twice, before ever doing something like that again. And for the next ten and half hours the training session went by smoothly. But, that didn’t really last that long after all that one of the girls that Camilla hangs out with tried something similar. But, this time Carea was the one to notice that I wasn’t going to put up with anything like a second time. And, I knew from reading her mind that she thought that it would be helpful to Camilla. Yet, quickly realizing that she was not only not helping Camilla, but getting herself in as much trouble as Camilla was already in.
Once the training of the day was done, we all went our separate ways to have some fun. Well, most of the other students left to go have some fun, yet I left to go do some more research and take care of an issue with a lower pack member. I knew in order to find Samuel, I was going to have to find Trina. In my search for either of them, I found a group that was having a conversation about how to get rid of me. And the leader of the group happened to be just the guy I was looking for.
“Samuel, there you are. I have been looking for you. I am only going to say this once, so pay clear attention to it. You will never disrespect like that ever again. Not alone, not in front of random people, and damn sure never again in front of other pack members. Am I clear?” I asked while at the same ordering him. He decided to pull the same stunt that Camilla did, so I didn’t hold anything back I made sure to make it as clear as possible that I wasn’t going to back down from a challenge. Not one given by her, or by him.
While in our wolf forms he circled me, but I never moved from my spot. He thought that he was going to have the advantage over me for coming up behind me. He was oh so sadly mistaken. He lunged and I took him down slamming him into his buddies and into the wall behind that happened to be made of solid rock. And was about eight feet thick. But, that didn’t stop him and his buddies from going clear through it or any of the next four walls. As he tried to get back up I was already on him. Pinning him to the ground just like I did Camilla. If it wasn’t for Elizabeth showing up and alerting me that I was crushing his wind pipe too bad, that I would have killed him. We changed back into our human forms and he couldn’t even look at me this time.
“Am I clear, Samuel?” I asked him. He just nodded his yes for answer because he wasn’t able to talk at the moment. “Good, any other concerns from anyone else?” I asked his buddies and all they could manage was a quick head shake no. I just smiled and walked away. And went to do some more research.
