1. Prologue

The Underworld the ever night plains, the place where the nightmares and monsters from the human mind live,  in a monarchical society the Underworld runs smoothly but a crisis is near as the successor of the throne refuses to take his place. 

 

It all started when the king had a daughter, she was born between the relationship of the king of the Underworld, a shadow being, and the alpha werewolf from one of the most known group of werewolves, their daughter was named Gashid, she had white and black hair, and a red eye and the other silver, this made her really different as such characteristics were rare in the Underworld. 

 

But the most striking characteristic is that she had both male and female characteristics, the so called hermaphrodite, that made the king a bit uncomfortable but that wouldn’t stop him from loving his daughter, well they decided that she was a daughter, so they raised her like that.

Years passed and the princess didn’t show many problems but when she reached 10 years she started to behave weirdly, she sometimes would say she was a boy and behaved as one, other times she said she was a girl and acted shyly, such behavior was making the king worry so he decided to call someone that knew from this kind of conditions, Doctor S. was the one he called, no one really knew his name he only said to call him Doctor S. no one understood why but he was a great doctor so no one really worried about it.

 

“So Doctor what is wrong with her”

“Nothing that you can change, in about one week a human mage shall come here that mage will release your daughter true self”

 

These words made the king even more worried, what was the Doctor referring to when he said her true self, the king had no idea what this could mean but he was worried so he ordered everyone on the Underworld to be careful with a human mage.

 

One week had passed and still no signs of any human mage could have the Doctor S. be wrong, these thoughts passed on the king’s head until a knight comes to inform him about the human.

 

 

“My king there was a report of a human entering the south district, seems like he says he was sent to see the king’s daughter, what shall we do”

 

“Bring him to me, I shall find out what he wants to do to my daughter”

“As you wish my king”

The Knight came back one hour later bringing the human

“What is your name human and what do you want with my daughter”

“My name is Andreja I am a human mage and I received a vision telling me that the princess of the Underworld would need my help to reveal her true self”

“Her true self what do you mean by that”

“I do not know the vision was blurry and I could only understand what kind of magic I should use on her and what she looked like”

“I will let you see her but if you do anything bad to her you shall be executed”

“I wouldn’t think of disgracing the princess of the Underworld”

 

They both go to the princess room so the human can reveal the true self of the princess, when they reach the room the king knocks

 

“Gashid dear there is someone here to see you”

 

They got no answer so the king entered the room to see her hiding under her blankets.

 

“Go away I don’t want to see him, the voice told me that he was bad”

“But dear he will make you become your true self”

 

Suddenly the human pushes the king away and takes the coves of reveling Gashid on her pajamas looking scared at him, he grabs her arm and pulls her near looking into her eyes

 

“I will reveal your true self you will finally have your own body, Zashid and Gaphid that shall be your names from now on”

 

He touches her face and a rune he had on his hand shines blue, a flash of light appears and when it is gone both the human and Gashid are gone and instead of them a boy and a girl seemingly the same age as Gashid appear, the boy had red eyes, medium black hair, and a face that didn’t look pleased, the girl had silver eyes, white long hair and a face that showed fear.

2. Zashid

I could see the king my father in front of me looking confused and he had reason too his daughter now turned into two different persons, well a it seems that my "sister" is also confused so I decided to use the information I had and explain the situation

 

"Father you must be confused so let me explain, that human, that mage, what he did was nothing more than take the two persons living inside Gashid and give them their own body, and you Gaphid my sister,  you were one with me but that's no more, we now have our own body"

 

I thought that would be enough to explain the situation, but both still showed confusion and Gaphid was blushing for some reason, my father quickly shaped out of the confusion and said to me

 

"Well if both of you are happy then that's good,  and Zashid you are now my son so you will take care of the throne once the time comes, and Gaphid I will get a good prince to marry you"

 

This is wrong find a good prince for her to marry she obviously didn't like the idea so for some reason a spark of anger ignited on me and the wish to protect her came to my mind

 

"I will not accept that if I become the King then she has to become my Queen"

 

Only seconds after I realized what I had said and I started blushing, my father didn't seem happy with my decision and spoke in an angry tone

 

"I cannot approve of that, if you insist in having her be your Queen, then I have to take the rights to succeed me from you.”

“If you do that the Underworld will not have a King, what will you do about that.”

“Simple, you shall get the 5 relics and open a portal to the human world and find your brother.”

 

This last affirmation confused me greatly brother what do you mean and the human world what would my brother that I didn’t know of be doing in such a place

 

“B-brother, what do you mean I don’t have a brother, and the human world even if I do have one what would have be doing on the human world.”

“Your brother was weak, he wasn’t able to use his powers they were sealed, so we sent him to the human world as he was too weak to survive here, we got him a family and he now lives happily, but, now it’s time to wake him up with your blood he shall awaken and you will bring him here to be the next King, as for you I will give you the Infinite Castle, the old shack at the North of Shadow Town.”

“Weak, well I understand that but why didn’t you tell us about him before?”

“You may not realize it but once you knew about him you would try and meet him.”

“Well I would certainly be curious but if you said I couldn’t I wouldn’t try to.”

“Well we decided it was the best to hide it from you, until you reached the age or something like this happened.”

 

I see they decided that for our best I have to respect that, still I can’t accept he wanting to force Gaphid into a marriage, she has been quite quiet though, I should ask her what she thinks about this, turning around I see she isn’t anywhere to be seen, where has she gone, this girl only gets me problems.

“Father it seems Gaphid disappeared I shall now leave and look for her we will get our things ready and we will depart to the Infinite Castle.”

“Very well I wish you luck.”

 

As he says this I leave to look for Gaphid that seems to have decided to get away from our discussion, she is rather shy this might be a problem.

I look on all rooms but still I don’t find her where could she be, this is going to be a problem, maybe she is there, I shall look in the garden I believe that’s one of the places she finds calming.

I was right, when I reached the garden there she was sleeping near some big trees, as I thought she would be sleeping she really is lazy, but, she is really cute while sleeping, her ears wave with the wind and her fluffy tail covers her body so she doesn’t get cold, it’s quite a beautiful sight to see, no it’s not time for that I have to wake her up and tell her what happened, I go near her and try waking her up but I fail, she really sleeps a lot and is hard to wake up, well only one way to do it, I go to the kitchen grab a cup of water and pour the water onto her waking her up.

“W-what h-happened?”

“You ran away from our discussion with our father and then you came here and fell asleep.”

“D-did I fall asleep on a place like this again, I should be careful, what did he say got out midway after you ….” She suddenly stopped talking and blushed looking away from my face, it’s really hard to understand what she is thinking.

“After I what?”

“N-noting forget about it, w-what did he say?”

“Well he said we have to get the 5 relics and get our brother from the human world, it seems he was too weak to live in here so they sent him to a human family but now if we give him our blood his real powers will awaken and he will be able to be the King instead of me.”

“Another brother I didn’t know about it.”

“Yes it seems to prevent us from trying to search for him they hid the truth.”

“I see well then we have to find him it seems like a fun adventure.”

“Yes it does, also we now will have our own house he gave us the Infinite Castle.”

“Wait that Infinite Castle, that’s really amazing.”

“Yes it is now we should go get our things packed up to leave.”

“Yes let’s go then but you don’t have much right all things we have are mostly my clothes, there shouldn’t be much clothes fitting boys as father never let us wear anything less than a dress when we were one.”

“Well we can go to the Shadow Town and buy some.”

“Yes let me chose some good clothes for you.”

“Ok I will let you help, now let’s go we have a lot to do.”

“Yes.”

 

We got up and went to our room packing up all her stuff and I went to talk with my father one last time.

 

“Father I will surely succeed.”

“Yes I believe in you my son, now here take the key to the Infinite Castle.”

 

As he says that
