exhaling. Molly puts my arm into a sling and tells me that I can go back to class. I put my shirt back on and look at Brandon. We both know what to do.  Chapter 3

Brandon's yellow Arc glows softly under his jacket as he prepares to fight. We face Vlad and Claire, both have smirks on their faces, both of them already prepared. My arm has already started to heal another perk that came with the Arc. I remove the sling and lay it on the little table next to the door. My own Arc glowing a dangerous look crosses both of their faces before their Arcs dim. And as if scared of us they step aside. Brandon and I exchange a glance before we quickly step out of the nurses room. As we step through the door way Vlad grabs my injured arm, while Claire pulls a gun I've never seen before and back hands it across Brandon's face. Brandon's reflexes are quicker than anyone's I've seen and he leans backwards grabs her wrist and flips her onto her back. Vlad goes to twist my arm again but before he can I step on the inside of his heel and pull him closer to knee him in the stomach. Brandon grabs my hand and we run down the hall and take a right and run to the front doors. We don't care anymore about getting in trouble with the school, we're more concerned about NOT getting killed. We run out the building and we both jog to the student parking lot.

"I don't have my keys on me!" I realize as I reach into my pocket to unlock the car. Brandon also left his key in his class. We look back to see where Vlad and Claire are but they haven't left the building. I'm about to say somthing my phone vibrates. I pull it out and stare at my phone with growing horror. I drop my phone my entire body shaking. Brandon comes over to me.

"What? What happened?" He picks the phone up the screen entirely cracked and squints to see the image. The anger and fear on his face mixes into pure rage. On the screen is an image of my little sister and Brandon's brother, terror righten all over there faces and behind them a man with a scar on his right side of his face over white glowing eyes and a grey blue Arc on his right wrist. Brandon looks at me then back at the cracked phone. His Arc was glowing brightly and I could feel my own anger rising. Behind as mocking laughter filled the air.

"Family is what makes you weak," Vlad spat on the ground, sneering. Claire stood behind him with her weird gun in her hand and another in her other hand. I turned my face passive, my temper flared before settling in a continuous stream of anger. That anger gave me more strength, like any emotion anger could make someone incredibly dangerous especially if they are in control of it. Behind them Nathan and purple hair slowly came behind them their Arcs glowing. Nathan pulled a long blade out of a hidden sheath while a syth of black and purple appeared in purple hairs hands. Brandon and I don't need weapons, our weapons are the powers we wield.

"You are out numbered. You have no experience your flimsy attempt to hurt and get away from us was pathetic," Claire flipped her ponytail behind her and dropped into an attack position. Brandon made little signs with his hands and before Vlad and Claire could move I had already launched an attack. In my mind I pictured a graceful lethal black and silver wolf, and felt the transformation take over. My vision sharpened, my sense of smell and hearing strengthened. I landed on Vlads chest as the transformation finished. I dug my claws in as he struggled and his Arc glowed as somthing appeared in his hand. I leapt back and up as a red spear came at me. I hadn't leapt back far enough and the spear sliced open my shoulder. With a growled yelp I dodged another attack this time from Claire. Her gun was silent and I couldn't see her at all times. Maybe it be best we had weapons. I leapt up behind her and transformed into an golden eagle. I grabbed her ponytail and yanked as hard as I could. She let out a shreek and pointed her gun up at me I flapped to the side as she fired off a shot and released her hair as she tried to shoot me again. Brandon was locked in battle with Vlad. He dodged every attack Vlad made. His Arc allowed him to basically see the future at least what was happening a few seconds a head of time. His Arc glowed brighter as he blasted Vlad with a bit of energy. Vlad flew back and slammed into the side of a Camry and dented the cars side pretty badly. Vlad got up again and launched himself at Brandon, but before Vlad had gotten two feet purple hair appeared in front of him in a purple haze. She swiped at Vlad with her syth but Vlad dodged but was backed against the car which was know wailing loudly.

"Sparrow! Behind you!" Still in my eagle form I launched off a cars hood and into the air twisting to face my attacker. Claire had yet again decided to target me. Her gun cocked backwards and I transformed into a fly before turning into a wolf and landing on Claire. She grunted and tried to shake me off. I tried to bite at her neck but she grabbed my muzzle and flung me off and onto Brandon. Nathan slammed his blade inbetween her crossed guns. Claire pushed him off and backed away as did Vlad.

"You two have a choice come with us quietly or your little siblings die," Vlad smirked as Claire spelled out what we knew was coming. I closed my eyes and imagined Tess and Cole, Brandon's older brother. I let out a sigh of dread and transformed into my normal state. My head was cast down and Brandon's expression was torn with fight back and protect them.

"We won't allow you to take them Vlad!" Nathan said standing between us and them.

"Not your decision to make Nathan," I said as I walked forward and stood in front of them.

"But you won't get away with this. You've under estimated us and you'll pay dearly," I said glaring at them. They both laughed and Claire stepped forward and swung her gun across my face. I hit the ground hard and heard Claire spit "That's for pulling my hair you little brat!" before I blacked out.

Chapter 4

"Come on child! This is not hard!" Another dagger flew out of no where and slammed into a tree behind the girl with chestnut colored hair as she ducked. She was breathing heavily as she held up the blade she had been given. Her sword was almost in the dirt as her strength dwindled. She was sick and tired of being forced into trying to learn to fight with a blade. "You don't have to use a blade," the black whisp said with a chuckle as it watched her attempt to find this man. Fog still unfulfilled everything around her and she couldn't actually fight this guy without being able to see him.

"She must learn to clear her mind!" His accent was thick and slurred his words but the girl couldn't find where his voice was coming from as it echoed everywhere including her mind.

"If you are to see your opponent you must learn to clear your mind and see the details clearly," the whisp was also trying to help her but nothing seemed to help her. Another dagger came at her and she ducked.

"How am I supposed to concentrate on details if I'm dodging daggers!" The girl cried shrilly as she dodged yet another blade.

"You have to focus on what's around you while you battle. You have to take in details as they come," the whisp floated in front of her blocking her view of where the daggers were coming from. The girl tried to look around the whisp but it got bigger blocking everything. The girl let out a sigh. She closed her eyes and tried to focus. She listened to everything around her, but there was no noise. She focused harder and the sound of wind filled her ears. The sound of leaves rustling and the sound of birds chirping filled her ears. She opened her eyes suddenly and looked around in amazement. It was a completely different view. Trees with green leaves the grass beneath her was bright instead of grey the dirt even was brown.

"Good," the man said with a grunt.

"Know focus on details," yet another dagger came at her, but this time she studied the hilt and the blade as she dodged it.

The sound of lava spitting hot drops of melted rock, groaning of somthing in a lot of pain, bones clacking, the smell of sulfur and rotting flesh, the heat searing my skin overwhelmed my senses. I didn't dare open my eyes or move. Cold metal chafting my wrists and the clinking of there metal links made my heart pound. My arms felt numb from hanging by my arms my knees barely touched the ground. My head hurt from being whacked so hard. I forced my self to listen more closely. After a while I could hear soft footsteps and heavy footsteps aproaching me.

"Why is she not awake yetttt," the voice filled me with dread. It sounded like someone taking long nails and scraping them against a chalkboard.

"She is weak, I'm sure after a few hours she'll wake up," This new voice made me shake with anger. I could match that voice so easily to one person. The man who had snatched my sister and Brandon's brother. Where is Brandon?

"I'm hurt. Though it was too easy to beat your friends that they had to result in threats," I snarled looking up and pulling my legs up underneath me so I was standing. I glared at them with so much hate I could feel my Arc glowing brightly.

"Silence child!" His white eyes seared through my skin as he glared back with equal hate. His grey blue Arc glowed softly and the blade at his side which he had a hand on said
