them?" She asked.
"Yes, we were attacked by them not to long ago."
"Well, we are very sorry about your mates."
"It's fine. Kitty."
"Huh?" the girl asked.
"My sister... Kitty."
"Oh...that's my name," said the girl.
"Kitty, heal. Jace help Kitty."
"On it," He said as he trotted over to Kitty. He nudged her, and her eyes snapped open. We all jumped back and gasped. He eyes were no longer pink, but red!

"W-what happened?" She said groggily as she went to scratch her head. She noticed her hand... well paw. Her hand morphed into a paw as she struggled to change it back. I bent down beside her, and pulled her into an embrace as she sobbed. That sob soon turned into horrible gasps as she began to shake vigorously. Her eyes fickered, and her body shook.

"What's wrong with Kitty?!" Jace exlaimed.
"She's adapting," Leo said, calmly.
"She's what?!"
"Adapting," Trever answered. "Her body is gonna change, and she'll be the 3rd strongest lycan in the pack. Stronger than Kyle, but weaker than us."
"Awe man. I liked being the 3rd strongest," Kyle complained. I looked back down at Kitty as her body stopped shaking. Her eyes remained closed, but her feet still shook. They were no longer feet, but wolf paws. They were as black as my fur, and her claws were as long as my teeth. If not sharper.

"What the hell?" Jace said before he fainted. Kitty opened her eyes, and peered up at me.
"Lani, what happened?"
"You...uh... were running with us for a small hunt and these guys protected you from hunters." I lied.
"Who are they?" She asked as she pointed to the were-jaguars.
"Well, the one with the cheetah tats is Kitty. I have'nt got the other ones' names yet."
"I'm Rex," said the big guy.
"I'm Niquel," said a kid about 16 years old. He was squat, but built.
"They know what we are?" Kitty whispered into my ear.
"Yes. They're jaguars."
"Jag-whats?!"
"Jaguars. They're like us... except you know... cats."
"Cool," she said before she passed out. Here we go... another problem. Maybe even help.
Chapter 11: More or Less

We-meaning Trever and I- make the decision to let the cats stick with us. We soon find out that Rex and Niquel are brothers, and that Kitty- the Jaguar- runs the Pride

. For a small chick, she sure has a lot of power of these guys.

"So, you don't have, like, an alpha mate, or anything?" Kyle asks.
"No... not yet anyways. Why do you ask?" Kitty replies.
"No reason. Just wondering," he says back. I send a look Trever's way. I catch his eye, and he knows to watch Kyle and Kitty. We carry Jace and my sister back to the house. Once the front porch comes into view, so does the 29 wolves. They are all alined and in attack mode. Blake at the front of the pack. He must have taken over while we were out. They growl. And the jaguars hiss and growl back.

"Hey, hey now. It's just us guys," Trever says. Blake turns back to his human form along with 3 other guys. He doesn't try to keep the anger and rudeness out of his voice. I've never seen sweet Blake like this before.

"Are those cats?"

he asks, clearly disgusted.
"Yes. We've reached an agreement with them. In order for them to stay, they must follow our rules, help us with the hunters, and keep cool. Got any problems?" Trever practically spits the last sentence at Blake. Yes, Blake is larger than Trever, but he knows what happens if a beta wolf challenges an Alpha. Some live, others... not so good. So he keeps quiet.

"No, sir," he chokes out.
I glance up at Blake, and I see the rage pass through his eyes. I also notice that Onxy, Luke, and Jake were the ones whom shifted with Blake. Onyx dyed his hair pitch black, with white strands. I like it. To bad I can't work up the courage to tell him without having feelings for him. I lean towards Trever, trying to keep Kitty's head from banging around on my shoulder.

"Where are they supposed to stay? All the rooms are taken."
"The brothers can have my room, and Kitty," he says pointing to the jaguar. "Can have your sister's room. Jace and Kitty will bunk up, and so will we. Okay?" Trever asks. I stare at him blankly.

"Um, I guess. Yeah, sure," I finally agree.
"Onyx and Blake, can you guys move my bed out? Jake," He says directing his attention to Jake. "You and Micheal get Kitty's bed out of her room. Once you are done, come right back out here. We are going into town for some supplies." They nod once Trever is finished directing them. I walk my sister in with Kyle at my heels, carrying Jace. I lie Kitty down on the couch, and Kyle drops Jace on floor.

"Kyle!" I shout.
"What?" he shrugs.
"Why'd you just drop him?!"
"'Cause... he'll wake up faster," he says cooly. And oddly enough, Jace begins to groan. Soon, his eyes fly open, and he's fully awake. His hair is a tangled jungle. His light, tan skin. Pale.

"What happened?" He asks groggily before belching.
"You fainted because of Kitty's change in body," I answer. He peers at Kitty's paws. She soon begins to wake. Her eyes flicker to life, and they too changed. Now, instead of pink, they're red. Like mine. Pretty fierce if you'd ask me.

"Mom? Dad?" she says. I run over to her, and brush her hair out of her eyes.
"Kitty, can you hear me?" I say frantically.
"Uh duh. Getoffofme," she says quickly, back to her normal, bratty self. I move off of her as she sits up. I guess she never got the chance to scratch her head earlier, so she goes to do it again. She doesn't notice her paws this time, but she does notice the ears that have sprouted from her head. She shrieks as she pulls at them. Jace, Kyle, Rex, Niquel, Kitty(jaguar...we really need to give these two seperate identities), and I all cover our ears. We hear the guys outside and upstairs also whine that her squel is to loud. Once she is through screaming, her face is pale, and her eyes are blazing.

"What is wrong with me?" She hollers.
"You're the 3rd strongest wolf in the pack," I explain to her. I only give her the bright side so that she does not freak out again. I know that she will soon figure it out. She steals a glance down at her feet, then up at her hands. Her irises flicker a dark orange, as if on fire. I flinch as she stands. Now that she has paws, she almost reaches me. She looks me directly in the eyes. I hear the rage in her voice as she speaks.

"You did this to me, Lani. You had to change me, huh? Well, look what you did! I'm a freak! Why? Why did you do this? You caused mom and dad to kill themselves, and I look like a monster! I hate you, Lani. I really do."
"I had to because you are mine. You always will be. And you don't hate me, Kitty. Yeah, I didn't think this would..." She cuts me off.
"Of coarse! You never think! You always jump to conclusions. Now look at me! Look what you did!

" She yells at me. I really want to smack her, but I can't.
"You're right Kitty. I do. And if you want to keep accusing me when I was only trying to help, then you could take your little wolf ass, and walk right out that door. I did it because I needed you! I did it because you

needed me.

I did it because without you, I don't know where I'd be. But if you can't see that, then you could pack your things, and be a omega. Your choice." It comes out way more forceful and dangerous than I thought it'd be. Her eyes flash again, but not with anger or fear, but with pride. Of what, I have absolutely no clue.
