Yeah, I caused a scene and when you do you get an audience I heard the people whispers: "Oooo. Josephine done did it now..."
"The bitch got some nerve crossing Carlos..." Ha! Them hoes has always been jealous of my swagg and connections. And I can't have people like that in my head or on my back. Well, now it's settled. They will be crawling from the ground they lick on just to be in line to be Carlos's next top dollar hoe. Good luck to him finding another LIKE ME.
I didn't get to a block before I heard the angry open call coming from Carlos up the sixth floor. "FISH ON THE LINE! SEE THAT BITCH RIGHT THERE HIGH AS SATAN CAN GET HER?! LOOK AT HER GOOD! IF SHE COMES BY HERE, REEL HER ASS IN AND GET AT IT!" I heard the cat calls coming in as soon as the grimy guys and Carlos hench men heard that warning. They knew not to touch me. Like stupid lap dogs, they wait till Carlos give a command.
There was only one place that I knew I can go to that was somewhat safe. I had to limp three blocks and hear more "hey, baby" and "Jose! Remember me, love?" before I reached my destination. I will be glad when I cross over the border from straight-ignorant to gay-pariee. "The Honey Bee" would've been the livest drag queen show if there was no rules or regulations pertaining to permits and such. My good girlfriend, Percy a.k.a Armani Khan, is perfoming tonight and she just so happens to be the land lord to the rooming up above the club.
When I entered the establishment, it was just as I thought it would be tonight. Because of the two for one drinks of your choice, bicurious GQ men who decided to come out and check out the place, and my girl giving a show, the place was packed. Luckily with a tiny bit of luck there was an open seat at the bar that was somewhat close to the stage. The bar tender, Tootsie, walked over to me with a ice pack and Shirely Temple. "Hun...I seen you as soon as you walked in. What's the price you paid for that bruise forming?"
"I'm banned and I'm on a serious train charge of getting raped and murdered if I go back." I said while placeing the pack on my face and taking two gulps of the drink. Tootsie just shaked her head and twitched her lips. "I have never heard of a hoe getting fired like that. You really picked them when you got with Carlos Banks. Good luck, sweetie."
She walked off to attend to the next person and I was so glad she did. I didn't need no charity, sympathetic lecture from a drag who looked like her face litterally got dragged down in the mud from the ugly path. The lights were diming low and it was the cue to say the show was abotu to start. The stage was dark with that one single light beaming and it only revealed toned, muscled leg through a spilt, sparkled evening gown. The beam of light grew a little more until Armani Khan was present. With her rocking her hair like Diana Ross and her only showing her bedazzled eyes through a fan...(@)
(I can dim the lights and sing you songs full of sad things
We can do the tango just for two
I can serenade and gently play on your heart strings
Be your valentino just for you
Ooh love - ooh loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey boy
Set my alarm, turn on my charm
That's because I'm a good old-fashioned lover boy
Ooh let me feel your heartbeat (Grow faster, faster)
Ooh ooh can you feel my love heat
Come on and sit on my hot-seat of love
And tell me how do you feel right after-all
I'd like for you and I to go romancing
Say the word - your wish is my command
Ooh love - ooh loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey boy
Write my letter
Feel much better
And use my fancy patter on the telephone
When I'm not with you
I think of you always
(I miss those long hot summer nights)
I miss you
When I'm not with you
Think of me always
Love you - love you
Hey boy where do you get it from
Hey boy where did you go ?
I learned my passion in the good old
Fashioned school of loverboys
Dining at the Ritz we'll meet at nine precisely
[One two three four five six seven eight nine o' clock]
I will pay the bill, you taste the wine
Driving back in style, in my saloon will do quite nicely
Just take me back to yours that will be fine (Come on and get it)
Ooh love, (There he goes again just like a good old-fashioned lover boy)
Ooh loverboy
What're you doin' tonight, hey boy
Everything's all right
Just hold on tight
That's because I'm a good old-fashioned fashioned lover boy

The show was a show stopper as usual. I got off the stool and headed up to Armani's room while she eats up the attention that the audience was pouring on her. She gives the people her grand entrance and then brings the house down with twirls, kicks, head backs, and a lot of sexual appeal blended in with heavy flirtation. It was over an hour when she finally sauntered in her room and stood there across from where I was lounging on her couch, arms crossed.
"Girlfriend...I hate to be the barer of bad news jinx, but the next time I see you I won't be able to identify you at the morge."
"Bitch, quit being dramatic. I'll be alright."
"Alright, my queer dragging ass. Girl, what the hell you was thinking striking Carlos?"
I gave Armani my best "Now, YOU KNOW..." look. And sure enough she read my expression clearly and started laughing. "That's my ballsy bitch. But on the serious tip, you know I worry about you." She walked over to her dresser and started to shed and peel off "Armani". "They got a timer on all the channels of any tv till we all be on fire and such and you are trying to send yourself already to the grave."
"Blah!" I said trying to sit up in the couch. But I was still seeing quaduples and hearing echos. And my face was still throbbing. By the look Armani was giving to my right side of my face, her eye size increased the to the same size of the knot that formed on it. "I don't believe the world will end. All that Y2K mess and the world will end 2012 and what happened? Nothing. And we're still here."
Armani was now giving me a look as she got up with her robe on her arm and headed for her bathroom. There has been talk going around about some block party on the day." "Say what? A block party?" I said a bit too loud for my condition.
"That's right. I guess most takes this as a big joke and to prove that it's all not going to happen."
"And what about you on the subject? I had asked.
"Don't matter to me. No matter what happens, I'm not going to be in this room. So I'm going to check out the last party extravaganza. They have flyers they're passing out. There's one in front of you on the coffee table."
I allowed my body to its best abilities to lean up and see this flyer. It was a red paper with cartoon people either dancing or drinking and smoking. What were the people thinking when they thought of to make up these flyers? You thought it was a frat party going on than the possbile end to our lives and life as we know it. "Ha! No shame for this flyer..." I said as I drifted off to high abliss.
The last thing I heard was Armani saying something about having late night company coming over and then saying something about me killing myself slowly as we know it. The last thing I've seen as my eye lids went heavy was Aramni standing at her bathroom doorway shaking her head as she watched me.

I had a feeling about that guy, Collin. I'm still not determined if whether it's a good or bad feeling but it's something. I sure didn't notice him as I performed on stage at the ralley. While I was trying to lift up spirits in the crowd during this limited time of the last dark hours, I was thinking about my own issue. My heart's been off. Just before the world found out about the devestating cause of the strange weather and the result of it I was in the hospital.
The doctors had told me that I was very lucky to have come out of surgery with the skin of my teeth and since then my knew my prayers were answered. Why had God pull me through it?-I don't know. But I felt him saying he's not through with me just yet...
Not only my heart but my mind was heavier than the groceries I was carrying in my hand down Bush Lane.
I was going to go down the block before but someone stopped me and told me what had happened to my sister and that she was last dragging and stumbling over to Bush Lane. That was where the "Honey Bee" was located so I knew she would only go there. Josephine...she's only two years older than me and there was a time when she played "mom" to me when we lost ours and was raised by our mom's sister, Aunt Netta. She was never home and hardly nothing was in the house for us so Josephine stepped up.
It was in her teen years when she was starting to find ways to escape the role of being the adult. Found the wrong crowd and that's when Netta decided to do something and step in. So she kicked Josephine out. God had blessed my sister with a nice body so that was the only weapon she had going for herself. We remained serperated after that but I would see her from time to time...I use to look away from the sight of her but after I found God I wanted to be there for her more.
And it's hard loving someone who refuses for your help, it's hard to turn the other cheek when you have
