Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. went to the tip and recoiled back to Demetri=s body. He clenched his teeth at the pain as his eyes shut tightly.
ASelene, I=m coming!A he thought.
Selene nodded and went to one knee as she put her hands on the box. Gail backed away and put a barrier around him to prevent his soul from being taken.
AI want more power!@ She thought and unlatched the box.
Demetri was still concentrating as Shin and Sol watched. The door began to glow a bright blue and so did Demetri=s sword. Sol gasped and Shin growled as he took a step toward the door. Selene stood up as a gold light burst from the case.
She shielded her eyes as blue, glowing, white orbs flew in the air. She gasped as they circled the air and the wires went at her. She gasped when she was lifted into the air and her body began to glow red.
Demetri=s eyes snapped open and a red beam shot from his sword, blowing the doors open. He rushed inside as Shin gasped and ran after him in worry. Selene screamed as the air shocked her and her eyes widened. Demetri came in the room and saw the orbs flying at her.
ASELENE!@ Demetri shouted as he jumped at her.
Shin went in front of him and tackled him to the ground. Demetri pushed him away and Sol grabbed him from behind.
AThere=s nothing you can do! It=s already started. She=ll die and if you get in the orbs path you=ll die too!@ Shin shouted.
Demetri growled and pushed him away as he looked sadly at Selene. She screamed as the orbs went through her body. They went around her and went through her one more time as she gasped. She clutched her body as a white orb came out of her slowly and she screamed louder.
The orbs went through her again and electricity went around the room. Demetri couldn=t take it anymore and pushed Shin away with all he had.
ASELENE!@ Demetri screamed as he jumped up to her. She saw him and reached for him and he reached for her, his eyes fearful.
She gasped and her eyes widened as a pulse went through her. She fainted and her soul slipped out of her. Demetri gasped and tried to catch it but couldn=t as it went through his hand. His eyes widened as Gail appeared and he stabbed it the orb.

Selene gasped and her soul disappeared in gold sparks as it went in the air. Gail smirked and threw his sword at Selene. Demetri gasped as his hand slipped from hers and saw the sword.
The sword rushed at her as electricity and a green aura was going around it. Demetri tried to grab it, but it was too fast as he watched in slow motion.
ASELENE!!@ He screamed as the sword stabbed her heart.
Her eyes widened and Gail smirked in triumph. Demetri gasped as his eyes widened in fear as he watched. Selene coughed up blood and her necklace Demetri had given her slipped off her neck. Time seemed to stop for Demetri, all he could hear was his own heart beat as he fell to the ground feet first in shock.
Sol and Shin glared at Gail and rushed at him. Gail fought them, smirking as they tried to kill him, their blows not even hitting him. The necklace landed in front of Demetri and he looked at it still in shock. Selene coughed up blood more and a pulse went through her as Demetri looked up at her.
Gail smirked as he made Sol faint and Shin caught her. Gail held out his hand to his sword and growled angrily at them both. Selene coughed as the sword came out of her heart. The wires came out of her and she fell as her eyes began slowly closing. Gail caught his sword and looked at them all.
AYou're too late and now nobody can stop me!A Gail said and disappeared as Shin swung his sword at him, hitting the ground.
ASELENE!@ Demetri shouted, eyes wide and jumped in the air.
Sol was unconscious and Shin was healing her, but it was a slow process. Demetri caught Selene=s falling body and landed on the ground, holding her body in his arms.
ASelene, wake up! Please wake up, WAKE UP!@ He shouted as he put his hand on here cheek scared, she didn=t move. ASelene!@ He shouted, panic in his voice.
She moaned a little and opened her eyes slowly as he gasped. She was dizzy and her vision hazy.
ADemetri, is that you?@ She asked.
He smiled and nodded, caressing her face as blood went on his hands and body.
AYeah. I=m here my Selene,A he said sadly.
She smiled and touched his cheek as he held her hand there. She coughed up blood and sighed.

AI love you Demetri,A she whispered as her eyes began to close slowly.
He gasped as he gripped her tighter and she leaned up. His eyes widened as she kissed him. He kissed back and the parted as he looked at her.
AI love you too Selene,A he whispered, tears falling down his face and onto hers.
She smiled and her body went limp. He gasped and his eyes widened. ASelene... no... no. Don=t you leave me Selene! Please... no... Selene!@ He shouted as his panic and fear began to show.
Her eyes closed and a tear came out of her eyes. Her body got cold and limp, Demetri looked at her body in shock.
Shin was behind him and Sol was in his arms. Demetri gripped Selene=s body to his tightly, crying on her shoulder.
ASELENE!!!@ He screamed, raising his head in the air as her hand fell from his cheek to the ground.
Shin touched Demetri=s shoulder and the castle started to collapse on them. Demetri didn=t even notice he was there.
ADemetri come on, we have to go,A Shin said.
Demetri shook his head, his voice hollow as he spoke and his eyes tormented.
AI=m not going. I=m dying with her, just go,A he said.
Shin growled as he turned Demetri around and punched him. Demetri went to the ground as blood trickled down his chin. Sol gasped at what the Shin had just done.
ADon=t be stupid!" he shouted angrily. "You need to live... don=t you want to kill Gail for killing Selene!@
Demetri got angry and looked at Shin. Shin smirked when he realized he had finally knocked some sense into Demetri for once.
AI do, more than anything!@ Demetri said, as he looked at Selene's body.
Demetri grabbed her body in his arms and the necklace. He looked at the necklace in sorrow and rushed out of the castle before it fell on them all.
AI swear I=ll kill Gail with my own hands! I promise Selene,A he growled as he looked at her body.

Chapter 10

War and Surprises

Three years had passed and Demetri had not found Gail. He seemed to have disappeared from this world when the castle collapsed in. He was still with Sol and Shin as they searched. Shin was now the former king of the underworld who was overthrown a year ago. Since then he has been traveling with Sol and Demetri.
Demetri=s hair had grown to his back, he wore a black shirt, black pants and a black vest, sword at his side. They were in a forest as they passed under a waterfall and into a cave. Sol looked at Shin smiling and he smiled back.
AWe=ll rest here for the night,A Demetri said and started a fire.
Sol looked at him and Shin sat down. Demetri started eating and Sol looked at him.
AIt=s been three years and we still haven=t found Gail, maybe he is really dead,A Sol said as she started eating.
Demetri didn=t answer as he looked out of the cave. Shin smiled and sat against the wall as Sol looked at him.
ADo you think he=s really dead Demetri?@ Shin asked with one eye open looking at Demetri.
Demetri closed his eyes as he sighed and Sol smiled when he did. Demetri had been lifeless and had shown no emotion since Selene=s death.
AHe=s not dead, even though I can=t feel or hear him any longer. He wouldn=t be killed so easily before his plan was complete,A he said in a low and calm voice.
Sol smiled and had thought he had given up hope the day Selene had died, hearing his voice calmed and reassured her somewhat. Shin smiled to and fell asleep. Sol fell asleep too as night fell on them slowly. Demetri stood up and walked out of the cave and waterfall thinking.
AGail where are you?@ He wondered as he stopped and stared at the sky.
A lunar rainbow appeared and he smiled, remembering Selene and himself used to watch them together. He put his hand over his heart and closed his eyes sighing.
ASelene I miss you so much,A he thought sadly.
He had tried to visit her grave every year on the day she died, of whenever he missed her, but he couldn=t bring himself to go. He couldn=t visit her anymore, because he still felt guilty about her death. He felt that he let her die, that he didn=t try to protect her at all. He heard a snap of a twig and spun around sword out. It was a little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.

AHelp,A she whispered and fainted.
He caught her and took her to the cave. She was bloody and had a wound in her chest and stomach as he tried to heal her. He set her by the fire and Sol woke up.
AWho is that?@ She asked, walking toward the girl.
Demetri shook his head and looked at the girl. Shin looked at the girl and then at Demetri as Sol started to heal her. He saw the torment and pain in his eyes and how he tried to hide it on his face as well.
ADemetri you still feel responsible for Selene=s death, don=t you?@ Sol asked sadly.
He looked away as his eyes narrowed and his teeth clenched tightly. He had tried to avoid this conversation for so long, he couldn=t take the pain it brought. Losing Selene had almost cost him his own life, he didn't feel anything anymore.
Shin looked at Demetri and then looked at the girl. Sol pressed the question. Shin knew Demetri was going to snap if Sol kept pressing.
"You still miss her don't you? You still blame yourself for what happened to her!?" she said as she grabbed his arm.
Demetri glared at her and stood up angrily. She looked up at him and had a look of worry on her face.
AI don=t want to speak of it!@ He growled angrily.
Sol sighed as she stood up and embraced him. He pushed her away, knowing what she was doing full well.
APlease just answer me Demetri!@ She shouted.
He snapped and slammed her into a wall. She yelped and looked at him as Shin stood up. Demetri had a look of anger on his face as he spoke.
AI said I don=t want to talk about it! Her death has brought me nothing but pain and regret. Leave my open wounds alone!@ He shouted.
He let her go got and walked out of the cave. The little girl woke up and saw Demetri leave.
