Read FICTION books online

Reading books fiction Have you ever thought about what fiction is? Probably, such a question may seem surprising: and so everything is clear. Every person throughout his life has to repeatedly create the works he needs for specific purposes - statements, autobiographies, dictations - using not gypsum or clay, not musical notes, not paints, but just a word. At the same time, almost every person will be very surprised if he is told that he thereby created a work of fiction, which is very different from visual art, music and sculpture making. However, everyone understands that a student's essay or dictation is fundamentally different from novels, short stories, news that are created by professional writers. In the works of professionals there is the most important difference - excogitation. But, oddly enough, in a school literature course, you don’t realize the full power of fiction. in one long breath as we started to walk though the hallways. I thought for a moment then came up with the only thing I could think of.
“How old are the other kids on the plane, and do they have powers like mine?” I asked without looking at her. We were coming to a pair of large glass doors that I pushed myself though and stopped to look at her and receive my probably cryptic answer.
“They are all your age and all have incredibly dangerous powers just like yours.” she said as a knowing smile grew on her face. I could tell she knew something I did not and if she was my attendant than she would tell me.
“Miss....” I started, realising she hadn’t told me her name. “Janet. Just call me Janet.” she finished for me. “Okay, Janet. Tell me why you just smiled like that.” I demanded. She smiled an over cheery smile and told me the most infuriating answer ever.
“You’ll find out later.” She said with a smile as we approached the plane. I can not stand not knowing, but I guess I will just have to wait it out.

When we had crossed over to the other side of the plane I saw that the stairs were already down in anticipation of my arrival. It was balmy and warm like it always is in colony six but I had been warned that it would get very chilly up in the air. Not that the warning helped because I didn’t have a sweatshirt. Oh well.
I boarded the plane and saw that the five seats on the far side of the plane were occupied. I walked over to the seat in the front with the neon six over it and sat down. Then Janet handed me a large hardcover book and told me that introductions would be made after take off.
I looked around to see all the other passengers deeply engrossed in their books so I opened the book to the table of contents and saw that there was thirty-two chapters, an index, a glossary, and in very tiny font ant the bottom of the page it said there was a brief summary on the last page.
All of the other passengers looked like they were somewhere in the middle of the book and obviously weren't looking for any short cuts. Well I am a short cut kind of person and know when a task it to huge to tackle so I started on the summary.

Chapter 4

A Brief History of The United States of American and It’s Colonies
Before the U.S. became a country it was made up of thirteen colonies ruled by England. Then they had a Revolutionary War and broke away from England. Then they started moving west, but that was put on hold so that they could have a war with themselves called the Civil War. Then they continued west until they hit the coast. Then they went north and found Alaska. Then they found Hawaii. Then they bought Alaska. Then they bought Hawaii. Then there were a bunch of natural disasters and most of the west coast sank underwater. Then they started gene-testing. Then the states broke apart and became colonies of The United States capital, District of Columbia. That about catches you up on the history of The United States of America.
Wow. That’s... different. I slammed my book shut and the entire compartment stared at me. I bet that they were all wondering if I was really done or if I was faking it for attention. I saw Janet stand up in the front of the plane. Intro time. Whoop De Do.
“Welcome candidates one though six.” We’re candidates? That’s a new one. I wonder what we’re candidates for? “You are flying high on Jet 2395. I’m Janet, the attendant for Regina of six. When I call your name please walk up to the front of the plane and give a brief description of your testing, your talent and a demonstration of your talent.” She smiled at the plane’s passengers. This must get really tiresome for who ever got on first and she was tiring to show sympathy. “So let’s get started. Austin Jettison of one.”
A bleach blond boy with freckles and green eyes stood up. He looked about six feet tall and toned. He was wearing briefs that were made of same material as my outfit. He was hot, defiantly hot. I wonder what his talent was.
“Well my name is Austin and I never even made it to testing. When I walked into the testing office the receptionist told me she loved me and begged me to marry her. Then the security dudes came and took me away. Then I realised what my talent was. I can make anyone love me insanely. To demonstrate, Regina do you love me?” When he asked that in his deep and sexy voice I didn’t even have to think about my answer.
“With all my heart.” I said in a dreamy trance. Then I snapped out of it, slapped my and on my mouth as he started to chuckle. “No hard feelings Rea it was just a demonstration.” He told me as he took his seat across the isle from me. I realised after I snapped out of it that he was arrogant and a douche, just like most guys.
“Next is Gwyneth Carey of two.” Janet said. A short girl with jade eyes and dirty blond hair stood up from her seat behind Austin and sighed. She was wearing a black version of my outfit over her giant sandbags(?). The outfit enhanced the fact that she was ghost pale, almost transparent.
“I made it all the way to them putting electrodes on my face. Then I went invisible and everything I was touching did too. Then they sent a huge electric current though me and everything was okay. Then the big men took me away. So my talent is to make things invisible and soundless. As a demonstration, Austin please stand up.” Then she disappeared. Then Austin disappeared. I sat watching expectantly.
I heard a thump next to me and turned to see a smiling and out of breath Austin. Gwyneth reappeared in front of me, bowed, and sat back down. I wondered what just happened. When it dawned on me I shuddered.
“Up next is Braden Montgomery of three.” Janet said as a grunt sounded behind me. Just as she turned to sit down a red light flashed and her hat disintegrated on her head. She plastered a painful smile on her face and faced us again.
“I guess we are skipping Braden. After him is Mackenzie Torres of four.” A girl with medium skin, black hair and eyes walked up to the front of the plane. She was the only one on the plane in street clothes. I couldn't tell why if Austin wasn’t even tested and he had to change.
“I swallowed a live squirrel. I am why your testing was moved up. I’m a werewolf and I don’t think you want to see my power.”She said this really fast then immediately walked back to her seat.
Before Janet could get up a tall boy with short black hair and no clothes on was standing in front of the plane a beaming at me. “I’m Ragon. I can read minds” He said as he turned his smile to Austin. “You want Gwyneth you nonexistent pants and she want to be in them.” he said as Austin and Gwyneth turn violent shades of red. I was impressed by his talent and confidence with his body.He turned back towards me. “And you are impressed by my obvious sex appeal.” I laughed and though my head back.
“No touching my personal thoughts creeper!” I said as I laughed some more. Janet stood up and cleared her throat.
“Ramon Erickson of five please take your seat. Now Regina you get to tell your full story. Please give details.”She told me as if she was a teacher giving an assignment. Well okay then.
“My name is Regina Bishop from colony six.” I started. Every one's attention was fixed on me. Except Mackenzie, she was reading her book. “I got to the testing office and went right into my doctor's office. He asked me some questions then I went off to my physical. I completely fail that and I went into the examination room. I took some pills and then the doctor started to put the electrodes on my face. They I shouted for him to stop and he did. He stopped doing everything. Even breathing. I killed him.” I looked around the compartment to see that everyone was gaping at me, even Mackenzie.
“Hot” I heard coughed from the back. Everyone turned to look at Ramon. He looking a me with a flirtatious look in his eye. I chuckled and returned his look then I sat down. Then I realised that my seat my seat was leaning back into a laying position. Then another half of the bed folded out. I thought about what the next day might bring as I drifted into a dreamless sleep.

“Welcome to Los Angeles. I hope you all had a wonderful night. It is a balmy ninety-three degrees and sunny. Will will begin our decent in five minutes. Please buckle up.” Janet said as the lights came back on and the blinds on the windows opened.
“How did you sleep princess.” Ramon said as he rolled over and put his arm around me. Wait, why was Ramon in my bed? I tensed as he moved closer to me.
“Whats wrong?” he asked as he reached under me and started turning me towards him. His cold arm felt good against my chest. Wait, where were my clothes?
“What’s going on and why are you in my bed?” I asked as I turned to look him in the eye.
“Why you invited me in don’t you remember.” He said with a laugh as if I should remember this.
“I have no memory of this.” I said with a yawn. “Now go back to your seat so I can find my clothes.”
“No use. The attendants took all the clothes that were on the floor.” He said as he got up and stretched. He was acting like not having any clothes was no big deal. “I like you better this way anyway.” He kissed my forehead and walked back to his seat. As I watched him I saw that there were four new passengers on the the plane.
They all walked up to the front of the plane.
“My name is Rune Tomas of seven. I can go inside of peoples dreams. I am a sand man.” I first boy in line said. He looked kind of familiar with his white hair and pale yellow eyes, but I couldn't place where I had seen him before. Next in line was a girl with black hair and green bangs.
“My name is Erica Fulton. My finger is a gun. I’m dead serious.” she said
