If only you can believe life is better than you see
How far will you go when you wind up all alone
Spinning out of control

Heart Of The Storm
September 1 - 2, 2010

A quick easy answer could fix everything
But the universe disappoints me again
I don’t wanna go home
Don’t wanna go there
Don’t wanna be a part of my life of despair

So stabilize
Like the blazing heat of Summer
Passing into September
And realize
Gotta remember
My ally has left my side
It’s a fight to the finish
It’s always something more
Always something more

At the heart of the storm
At the heart of the storm
What more can love give
If I’ve lost the will to live
Fill me with hope in the bright new morn’
There’s a blizzard raging at the heart of the storm

How much is it worth when my body aches
My flesh is weak, I do everything it takes
But I don’t wanna go home
My place isn’t there
I’m tired of looking at my life in despair

So stabilize
Like the blazing heat of Summer
Passing into September
And realize
I need to remember
My ally has left my side
It’s a fight to the finish
It’s always something more
Always something more

At the heart of the storm
At the heart of the storm
What more can love give
If I’ve lost the will to live
Fill me with hope in the bright new morn’
There’s a hurricane raging at the heart of the storm

The power of prayer took me real far
Gettin’ outta town, gonna go to Mars
Maybe tomorrow I’ll come back home
I need a change of scenery
Clear my head and recharge my batteries

Stabilized
The blazing heat of Summer
Passing on to September
Realized
Gotta do it myself
Face life down eye-to-eye
Because it’s a fight to the finish
It’s always something more
Always one thing more

At the heart of the storm
At the heart of the storm
There’s nothing more love can give
It’s all up to me to live
So fill me with hope in the brand new morn’
There’s a typhoon raging at the heart of the storm

Gomorrah & Sodom
July 16, 2010

Hardest hit
Bitterest bit
No hurry
No mercy

Did you get what you want
Did you take what I have

Painful split
Futurist
From the past
Nothing lasts

Did you get what you want
And take everything I have
How much will make you happy

I’m tired of loosing
Tired of choosing between the lesser of two evils
Like Stockholm Syndrome
Looking down the barrel of a gun
I’m at the crossroads between Gomorrah and Sodom
Gotta make a choice between two bad choices and fall further to the bottom

Here’s the point
You annoy
But you control
How my life goes

Did you get everything you want
Do you want everything I have
Should I surrender everything

I’m tired of loosing
Tired of choosing between the lesser of two evils
Like Stockholm Syndrome
Looking down the barrel of a gun
I’m at the crossroads between Gomorrah and Sodom
Gotta make a choice between two bad choices and fall further to the bottom

Turn the other cheek

Turning the other cheek to me means
Showing me how mean you can be
Turning the other cheek means
Showing me how two-faced you are

Falling further to the bottom
Burn it down like Gomorrah and Sodom

I’m gonna hit rock bottom, hit rock bottom
Gonna burn like Gomorrah and Sodom
Gonna hit rock bottom, hit rock bottom
Burn it down like Gomorrah and Sodom
I’m gonna hit rock bottom, hit rock bottom
Gonna burn like Gomorrah and Sodom
Gonna hit rock bottom, hit rock bottom
Burn it right down like Gomorrah and Sodom

The Dragon Is Real
August 24, 2010

Jealousy was planted decades ago
Strangling love that could not grow
It wasn’t that you were overly blessed
Through jaded eyes, they could not find happiness
You stood at his side through the years
Bit the bullet and masked your fears
Took care of each other through loss and gain
Paid the ultimate price in his burning flame

As simple as one and one and one makes three
It’s not a myth or a legend of eternity
When the hourglass drained empty
Night fell and the dragon spread his wings

Yes Altair the dragon is real
Though you trusted him he could not feel
He wanted glory and power
Rejected love in your most desperate hour
So, yes Altair the dragon is real
It took your loss to finally make him feel
Remember, fortune spins around like a wheel
So send the energy to make him heal

Wrong voices whispered in his ear
Confused he could not confront his fear
Like a ghost you slipped away
There’s always a balance left somebody has to pay

As simple as one and one and one makes three
It’s not a myth or a legend of eternity
When the hourglass drained empty
Night fell and the dragon spread his wings

Yes Altair the dragon is real
Though you trusted him he could not feel
He wanted glory and power
Rejected your love in your most desperate hour
So, yes Altair the dragon is real
It took your loss to finally make him feel
Remember, fortune spins around like a wheel
So send him the energy to make him heal

It’s as simple as one and one and one make three
Not a legend or a myth from eternity
When the hourglass drained empty
Night fell and the dragon spread his wings

Yes Altair the dragon is real
Though you trusted him he could not feel
He wanted glory and power
Rejected love in your most desperate hour
So, yes Altair the dragon is real
It took your loss to finally make him feel
Remember, fortune spins around like a wheel
Altair, send him the energy to make him heal

Face In The Mirror
September 26, 2010

Stay together
Birds of a feather
Through rain, wind, and sleet
Ride out the stormy weather

Time steals the most precious treasure
Something I thought would last forever
Secrets I thought I could keep
Everything I ever hoped to remember

One step forward to fall two steps back
Running out of time faster than the clock unwinds

There’s a face in the mirror
But it doesn’t look like me
I’m heading for a breakdown
Why can’t anybody see
Reflection of things long remembered
Things better left unsaid won’t change a thing I pretend
In a world of make believe no one else can see
The face I the mirror doesn’t belong to me

Mirror cracked and severed
What’s the point of never
Slip into an endless sleep
Into a dream where it all gets better

Time steals the most precious treasure
Something I thought would last forever
Secrets I thought I could keep
Everything I ever hoped to remember

One step forward to fall two steps back
Running out of time faster than the clock unwinds

There’s a face in the mirror
But it doesn’t look like me
I’m heading for a breakdown
Why can’t anybody see
Reflection of things long remembered
Things better left unsaid won’t change a thing I pretend
In a world of make believe no one else can see
The face I the mirror doesn’t belong to me

One step forward to fall two steps back
It’s a fact
Three more steps backward to never get ahead
One more step forward to fall two steps back
Keep hope alive, never listen to what they said
It’s only a suggestion
But I don’t recognize my reflection

Jingle, Jangle, Jingle
July 18, 2010

Turn your stink eye the other way
You don’t have to talk to me today
I gave my best and there’s nothing more
If you don’t like it, then find the door
You’re not the one loosing everything
I don’t know any get rich quick schemes
I’m between a rock and a hard place
But I’m no jack of all trades

So what is it that you want me to do
I’d make it happen, just give me a clue
Walk right into your smoky haze
While I just navigate this maze

Jingle, jangle, jingle
Hear the coins falling from machines
Did your cards turn up right
Give me the winning numbers please
Jingle, jangle, jingle
Though money isn’t everything
Jingle, jangle, jingle
Money makes the world go ‘round it seems

Names mean nothing to creditors
Just victims running from predators
I gave my best and there’s nothing more
Too much worry, my brain is sore
Punished now for doing the good deed
I’m the one loosing everything
Driven from my home of twenty years
Life upside down and everything to fear

Sell off the little pieces of my life
And all my memories fade from sight
No I never had a real career
I feel that’s the greatest injustice here

Jingle, jangle, jingle
Hear the coins falling from machines
Did your cards turn up right
Give me the winning numbers please
Jingle, jangle, jingle
Though money isn’t everything
Jingle, jangle, jingle
Money makes the world go ‘round it seems

Jingle, jangle, jingle
Hear the coins falling from machines
Did your cards turn up right
Give me the winning numbers please
Jingle, jangle, jingle
Though money isn’t everything
Jingle, jangle, jingle
Money makes the world go ‘round it seems

Rainy Day Café
July 19 - 20, 2010

Remember the café
On that rainy summer day
You held my hand to say
Everything’s gonna be okay
We laughed a little
Cried a little
Shared our memories
Through words and rhyme
And timeless melodies

I’m sorry you feel the way you do
I’m sorry luck doesn’t shine on you
Please stay with me awhile
Let this time never end
After you’re gone
And I’m sitting all alone in the rainy day café
I feel like I’ve lost my way

When I called and heard your voice
On that humid summer night
You reminded me of my choice
And the plot of my life
We laughed a little
Cried a little
Shared fond memories
And promised to remain friends
For all of eternity

I’m sorry you feel the way you do
I’m sorry luck doesn’t shine on you
Please stay with me awhile
Let this time never end
‘Cause after you’re gone
And I’m sitting all alone in the rainy day café
I feel like I’ve lost my way

I just need a friend to hold my hand
Tell me it’s all gonna be okay
‘Cause when I’m sitting all alone in the rainy day café
I feel like I’ve lost my way

Bring On The Rain
July 18, 2010

Hot sticky days and endless sultry nights
Your stars are outside my window
Resting over the weeping willow
As my thoughts drift up to the sky
There’s miles of road ahead
Paths I have to travel alone
They’ll take me far from home
With you I was never ever misled

Bring on the rain
No more hiding behind a cloudy mask of pain
Bring on the rain
Let me count the ways to bring on the rain
I’ll never see your face again
You’ve gone to a better place than I am
Isn’t that cause and effect enough
To bring on the rain

Cobble stone steps along a dusty summer road
Wild roses and blue dragon flies
Same as before in
