AUTHOR'S POV:
"I-I've lost," Alpha Xavier whispered while gazing at her with an unknown emotion. Ava's heart skipped a beat. She hate the idea of where this was going.
"No-no," Ava whispered while taking her hand away. Her heart was banging wildly. She felt visionless ants running on her body.
"Love," he tried again but Ava didn't let him.
"Beat it," Ava said and turned around. Her palms were clammy and her body was trembling.
Silent tears rained from her eyes, as she gazed at the moon. Her heart was heavy with all the bridled emotions. She has so much to say, yet no word would enunciate from her mouth. Why? Why is he making everything arduous for her? When she wanted to tell him, he didn't listen. When she would cry at night, and wanted nothing more than, a shoulder from him to cry on. He never came? When she attempted everything she could to make him love her, he was in love with someone else. Sometimes, she wondered, if he ever listened to the shattering sound of her heart every time he would be with Jessica. She wonders if he ever felt his heart skip a beat seeing her. Ava closed her eyes, and wet droplets fell on her hands. She felt a warm hand enveloping her. Ava shuddered when she felt him kissing her tears strained hands.
"Love," Alpha Xavier softly started but Ava had enough of him.
"I don't want to listen, do you hear me,"? Ava yelled at him. She stood up and glared at him. Alpha Xavier looked into her tears-felt eyes. His heart dropped seeing her in tears. She harshly wiped her tears away, when she realized he was gazing into her teary eyes. She has vowed to never be weak again, especially in front of him. She always believes that being real in love is everything but, now she knows that being weak and Vulnerable is nothing but despicable and she has learned it the hard way.
"I-I...," Alpha Xavier started.
"You what," Ava yelled at him. Alpha Xavier remained silent. He didn't know what to say.
"Let me guess," Ava went near him.
"You're sorry, right,"? She asked in a low voice. Alpha Xavier opened his mouth to say something only to close it again.
"I'm I'm Sor-sorry," Alpha Xavier closed his eyes.
"He's sorry," Ava whispered to herself. She moved away from him.
"Did you hear moon Goddess, mama, he's sorry," Ava yelled looking at the moon.
"He's sorry after shattering me," Ava yelled with a sad smile. Her heart was crushing all over once again. Her knees gave up and she drop to the ground. She fisted the mud in her palms, seeking solace from it. Her heart was breaking, and she closed her eyes unaware of the silent tears that fell from someone's else eyes. The pain in her voice and heart was too much for him to handle. With wobbly legs, he went towards her and sat beside her.
"You know why I'm despondent,"? Ava whispered quietly.
"Because, I believed," she said and gazed at Alpha Xavier.
"I believed in my love. I believed that one day, you'll realize how much I love you. I believed that one day, you will stop breaking me. I wanted to yell at you for hurting me, but I couldn't. I wanted to make you feel the same pain, you're making me go through but, I couldn't. I'm dying Xavier. I'm dying from inside," Ava whispered and a lone tear escaped both of their eyes.
"Every day, I'd died a little inside seeing my mate in someone else's arms. I always feel this heart-slashing pain in my body and soul, every time you are with her. Your every kiss on her body feels like acid on my body. When she screams in ecstasy, I have always screamed in agony. Everyone thinks of me something. They think I'm happy or some thinks I'm pathetic that my mate loves someone else but, little did they didn't know I was drowning. Drowning in darkness. I had always loved you, always. But, never thought I would lose myself in loving you," Ava whispered while lying on the ground. Her head was spinning and she can feel black dots appearing before her eyes.
"You know Xavier," Ava smiled remembering a memory.
"I hated trees," she said and Xavier looked at her in confusion.
"I would always climb on the trees so, that I can see you when you play in the playground," Ava smiled.
"So, on the first day of our second grade, when you fell from a tree and...," Xavier started making Ava laugh.
"Yeah! I was watching you but, I fell from the tree," Ava pouted.
"And then, you said you were feeding ants," Alpha Xavier laughed.
"Shut up," Ava pouted.
"But, one thing I don't understand is why you hate trees,"? Alpha Xavier asked.
"Because, in our fifth grade, on valentine's day, I got you a gift and was watching you from the tree. I didn't dare to come over to you and give you the gift. After some time, when I finally had the courage. I started coming towards you, only to be stuck in the dry branches of the very same tree. I struggled to free myself, and when I succeeded and came to you, Jessica already gifted you," Ava glared at the tree in Infront of them making him laugh.
"Do you think enduring all this pain in love is worth it? Worth a person,"? Ava whispered closing her eyes.
"Because, you're worth my every pain," Ava said and darkness surrounded her.
