I know I shouldn’t be getting mixed up with her right now but it just feels perfect. It’s a perfect fit. We haven’t talked about what is going to happen once we get out of the shit that we are in right now but I want to believe that she is going to stay here with me. I want to believe that I will be the first of my brothers with an ol’ lady. I can see her in that role. I just don’t know if she wants to take it. Time will tell.
I roll over in the bed, the sleep still clinging to my subconscious. I just want to get another twenty minutes. Then I’ll get up.
*CREEAAKKK*
My hand darts to the table to get my gun before my eyes even have a chance to open. There is someone here and my gun is missing. I open my eyes to see down the barrel of my little six shooter and the Glock that I was supposed to put in the bag last night tucked into the person’s waist.
“I feel like I’ve been waiting all day for you to wake up,” the man speaks up. He is a slight looking man. Dark wavy hair, dark eyes, no facial hair, no tattoos that I can see, no piercings. Nothing that would make him stand out. “You should really learn to rise with the day. Be among the first to enjoy the blessings that our mother Gaia has bestowed upon us.” He smiles and walks by the man who has the gun pointed at me.
“You better make sure you kill me. Because if you don’t, I’ll make sure you get to meet your mother Gaia much sooner than you want,” I snap at him but don’t move as the man still has the gun pointed at me.
“Oh, no, I would never. That isn’t our way. Actually, I think you and your brothers would make a fine addition to our ranks. You’re resourceful and loyal. Gaia can always use more acolytes.”
“Fuck you and your crazy religion. Fuck Gaia too,” I snarl at the man. I watch as the color of his face turns from pale to bright red and then back to pale. He begins to whistle “Patience” by Guns N’ Roses. He puts his hands in his pockets and I want to lean back. From what Dela has told me, I know that when he whistles that song punishment is coming. So what the hell does he have in his pocket?
“You take our goddess’s name in vain, punishment is required.” He pulls his hand back quickly and, in a flash, punches me dead in the nose. The bridge of my nose snaps like a twig and blood begins to pour.
“What the fuck?!” I grab my face and try to see him through the wetness in my eyes. I’ve never had someone break my nose before, and only with one punch that shit seemed impossible. I got a good look at his hands and realized why it was so simple for him, the brass knuckles that he wore made it easy for him to do that.
“Subdue him,” Emerson speaks as he walks over to the other side of the bed. When I turn my head, I see Dela is already up and they have a gag in her mouth.
The two guards that are there with him grab my hands and I pull away, I kick and punch at them until one of the guards on the side places a gun to the side of Dela’s head.
“It’s unfortunate but you’ve already sullied this one. I must pray to Gaia to see if she can be saved but right now, I would let them kill her. Don’t make me do that. We don’t want to harm you, my child. You must see the logic in my ways,” Emerson speaks softly from next to Dela.
I put my arms down and let the guards bind me to my heavy bed. This is the first time since I bought this bed frame that I was pissed that it was such good quality. I had no idea how I would get out of here until someone came for me.
I turn my head back toward Dela as they began to pull her out of the room. She turns her face to mine and I can see the fear in her eyes. This is the last place that she ever wanted to be again. In the arms of her captor. The cultist who took away her freedom for the past two years “Fight!” I growl at her.
She shakes her head no.
“You fight. Trust me. I’m not going to let you go.” I keep my eyes on her as she is pulled out of my room.
It’s only seconds later that I hear the cars pulling away from behind my house. There are no alarms and at this time in the morning there is no one that would have seen them coming.
“Fuck!” I scream and start to pull with all my might against the binds. “Cody! Spark!” I scream, hoping that maybe someone would be able to hear me but I know that they won’t we are all separated. They are only a few hundred feet away but it is more like a few hundred miles right now.
When I look down at my wrists, I see that the rope that they used is already cutting at me. The blood making my hands slick.
“Motherfucker! God damnit.” I pull harder, doing the best I can to ignore the pain in my hands and forearms. “Winnie!”
Even with the blood coating my wrists I still couldn’t get my arms out. I had to find a different way to get out of here.
The only thing I can see is my pants. My phone is all the way on the other side of the room so I can’t call anyone.
I do my best to grab
