Suppose you had a love once that up and went away.
Never contacting you even on birthdays.
Love must have figured my journey through life would be okay.
When little did Love know his compassion is what I needed?
To grow and his fatherly touch would be cherished the most.
You know , no matter how hard I try, I still find myself sobbing at night completely devastated and I can’t figure out why; why I destroy every relationship I’ve been in.
I whisper in a whimper
“Can you hear me…Daddy…I love you, do you feel me, I’m always thinking of you?”
“How about moons ago when I was brand new.
My tiny fingers gripped your massive hands, did you love them then,
and did they mean the world to you?
When you left did you imagine their shape, did your minds eye let you see this beautiful face which you helped create?
Daddy did you wonder about baby and how she was doing,
was I learning; was I happy with out Daddy?”
No matter, because what’s done is done
My heart is permanently scared, wearing a never healing wound.
My first love deserted me,
I’ll forever be Little Girl.
You noticed me,
I use to work right in the middle of a mall and I saw many types of people. Some small, some gigantic, some with distorted faces or limbs, I’ve even met a baby who could not hear or see. I noticed how the public treated people who were different; I thought to myself, they’re ordinary people. When I would catch eye contact with someone who was different, I’d give them a reassuring smile. A smile that spoke, “I see you; I know you’re human, you’re beautiful”.
One day a black woman whose face was covered in tumors walked up to me and started talking. I guess when we made eye contact she felt as if we connected. I didn’t mind, because I wanted to know her story. She’d gone through many surgeries and worked in a call center. She wore a black curly wig and had the bag lady contour going, but she was pleasant. I felt like my problems were nothing when I looked into her eyes. I am blessed to have met her.
You noticed me
I was having a dreadful day when a Seraph smiled my way.
He noticed me while I was drowning in my misery.
His words were endearing, he said unto me,
“Hello lady, how are you?”
I began floating like a fairy.
Can’t believe he noticed me, singled me out and spoke to me!
My angel found me, in this world full of chaos and confusion.
He was my solution.
In that moment time stopped, our spirits met.
I said unto him,
“Thank you, thank you. You redeemed me.”
My heart now full of bliss pumps like a fist!
All because you noticed me in a land full of chaos and confusion.
I found sweet serenity when you noticed me.
You gave me Power
Mine eyes have seen beyond the shield.
I knew my strength was coming from him.
In my darkest hour, my Lord gave me power.
He brought me out of many atrocities.
Yes Lord the peace you gave me in time of my misery healed me.
You are my salvation.
My life will never be the same in your name I breathe Amen.
I saw your footprints in the golden sands.
I believe in your Father.
You are the author of my book.
I shall not be defeated.
I will never overlook your abundance of blessings.
You deserve all thanksgiving.
I am truly blessed.
Amen.
Rejoice
We rejoice in his house,
By clapping our hands and stomping our feet!
We rejoice in his name, on this special occasion.
We rejoice in this day!
Thank God for this moment and his many gifts!
He blessed you tremendously!
On your Birthday he gave you your existence, a life so precious and never-ending!
He created in his image and you are truly stupendous!
One toe touched gold
I feel like the Pope Man when I see the gates of Heaven open offering me eternity.
I step right on in my eyes stare at all of my family and friends I lost back in the day.
The horns and trumpets from the jazz music burn my ears.
All of the beautiful sounds and sights are so abundant
Can’t wait to see the street of gold
I’m going to run all up and down them.
Next thing I know, one toe touched gold then reality began to sing to me
“No more pain nor catastrophes, no more heart ache and sorrowful memories.”
God has set me free.
Thank Thee, my eyes hath seen the coming of the Lord before this great day.
The sun burned drastically the dirt shook dramatically, then I heard He
The Alfa the Omega of the Universe came and took the land right from underneath my feet and brought me to his kingdom.
Buildings of gold beautiful in architect resembled ruins.
Rivers of milk and honey flowed beside them.
I sleep on clouds and dance in the blue skies; I sit on stars and sing through the night.
I drink white and red wines, I bathe on beaches.
I dry my body with pastel printed silks.
I light candles for all to see that great big star in the sky is me living in eternity.
Only by Gods grace;
Will I ever be able break through these walls of despair?
My soul can no longer be left behind in the shadows of what if.
What if?
I succeed; carry the seed of happiness, wealth and good health.
I would bury it where the green grass grows.
What if?
Yes, only by Gods grace.
By his grace will I overcome the insanities, which I have seen and experienced in my life.
Only by Gods grace.
I’ll fight and continue to fight until my battle is won!
Yet and still by God’s grace!
Four Winds
The four winds have blown and each season has displayed their God given secrets.
Now the earth has been reborn again.
In each new birth, we’ve learned a lesson.
New creation must give way while death takes place.
It is true that God takes his angels and he rocks them like his son in the mangier.
New life what a prize, I now realize that each and every day.
I am thankful to awake.
I thank God everyday.
I search for signs that may lead to my destiny,
but when I stop and think I am unable to see through the humidity of the unknown.
So I am left only with thoughts and repressed memories.
If I were to die today, I would be so surprised, how would I have known.
God would probably smile at my face and say,
“It was you my child who cried for so many years.
It was you my child who could feel me when I was near.
It is you my child whom I love so dear.
It you my child whom I chose to bring here.”
Then I would be so happy to know that my God was always there for me;
Even in my lowest of moments.
You see I am but a butterfly trapped in a cocoon.
When I break free the whole world will be remade a new.
My gorgeous never-ending colors of knowledge will tell the story my life,
My thoughts, my mistakes and all of my faults.
My life.
Though I am not perfect, I am complete.
God loves me and is always in my presents.
And through these hard times, there is always an ending message.
Stay strong, you’re not alone, this to shall pass.
God wants you to hold on never give up, his love is everlasting.
GOD SAID
God said that I could,
He also said that I would succeed if only I would believe in him.
I’ve achieved the impossible.
Now I know that I’m unstoppable, too knowledgeable.
It’s so awesome to feel; the blessings rain down on me.
The smooth water, sooth my broken my spirit.
No dark clouds hovering over thee, only sun rays beaming.
I have seen the glory of his grace.
My lord lays tremendous kisses upon my face and he wipes away my tears of doubt.
All routes lead to him and I thank him!
Amen.
Only by Gods grace
Will I ever be able break through these walls of despair?
My soul can no longer be left behind in the shadows of what if.

I succeed; carry the seed of happiness, wealth and good health.

What a love, what beauty
As you cradle me in your arms I think to myself that you could never do no wrong.
I’m hoping that what we feel for each other will escalate into something more,
Or have we already reached our limit and will never love each other no more than we do today?
My heart panics at the thought of just loving you for today and not for tomorrow.
The thought of you leaving me tears at me like thunder through a cloud,
But what if the unthinkable should ever occur?
Then l would just have to endure the pain and swallow my pride,
But would it be your loss or mine?
I am a prized possession and one like me will never be mistaken for anything less.
I know that you yearn for my indulging kiss and warm touch.
Yet at the same time I am in need of you.
What about now, what about the present?
Should I neglect the thought of ever losing you or should I take this gift of love one day at a time;
And ensure myself that I will never stop loving you?
My Kingdom
My Kingdom has a beautiful torso; his grainy brown skin accentuates his day star face.
His anatomy my prairie
His muscles my mountains
His lips my peaks
I long to leap, diving into his river.
His tongue my fountain the ripples tickle my body.
I shall never leave my Kingdom.
His eyes my skies.
His brows my clouds.
His nose my Nile.
I shall swim through him taking over his senses.
My scent lingers throughout the land, flowers grow trees stand.
The trees his fingers sway articulating my body with his.
In this Kingdom of pulchritude I paint my body with honey for my Kingdom to pollinate.
In the depth of his valleys bare a cache of fruits.
With my mouth I taste them, sweet as sugarcane to my tongue.
I swallow him igniting him, bringing light to him.
My Kingdom lives within me and I within him.
What about Black is Beautiful?
Whatever happened to Black is Beautiful?
My people must have forgotten about nappy heads, corn rolls and dashikis.
Worn by Black rocks, what about Black is Beautiful?
Why do our men ignore our black complexion, unless we’re light skinned?
You know a little cream in that Black coffee too much black grain in the veins.
Too strong for a brother he can’t hang.
Mr. Black man don’t won’t any Nubian,
