The adventure begins
Our story begins in a land known as Fantalasia this small lands inhabitants were those of legends such as ;Unicorns, Pixies, Goblins, Trolls, Elves, Fire breathing dragons, fairies, etc... Each species had their own kingdom ruled by their own ruler. (The fire breathers were the most fierce and lived on the desolate side of the land, but they seemed content over there.)
This story however happens to be about the smallest people on the land. The fairies and pixies ,and possibly a gnome, magician, and an elf. Each creature had an ability that he or she was best at and the same goes for the main fairies of our story.
I will describe one so that you know what I mean.
Aralina, was a garden fairy, and she had the ability to grow things super-fast, but her favorite thing to do was sit and watch them grow all by themselves with little help from herself. She had blond hair and green eyes. Her wings were green, and shaped like leaves, showing that she was a garden fairy. She always wore common clothes, or garden fairies clothes. Both were not very colorful, and were mostly brown. However, she had one or two pretty dresses for special events, such as the spring festival, or fancy dinners. Those were not very often, and Aralina hasn’t really had much experience with special affairs. She was 17 years old.
Our story begins with The fairy we just described ,Aralina, packing her bags. She was going to be apprenticing one of her father’s old friends who had moved to the kingdom.
“Do you have to go?” Her younger sister complained.
“Mother and Father think it will be good for my education.” Aralina said as she closed up her leaf suitcase.
“I’ll miss you Aralina.”
“And I you, but I’ll write. You can make sure of that!” Aralina hugged her little sister. Her vision was beginning to get cloudy. She was going to cry- something that she promised herself that she would not do.
“Now Alina, you take care of yourself and all the others. You’ll be the oldest now.” All the others referred to their 12 brothers and sisters, and all 6 of their cousins.
“Aralina, the fairy wagon is here. Do you have everything?” Aralina’s mother asked poking her head into the room.
Aralina nodded sniffling; Alina just now remembering something got up from her bed and flew over to her dresser, and opened one of the drawers. She pulled something out and flew back over to her sister.
“Here.” She said opening her hand, "The cousins and us made it for you so you wouldn’t forget us in the big city.”
Aralina gasped. It was a necklace filled with many a small stone from all over the garden. “It’s beautiful! Thank you!”
Alina smiled.
The wagon driver yelled “All aboard!”
“Well I guess I better go.” She gave her sister and mother a hug.
“Good bye.”
She finally let go and flew to the wagon. The wagon was huge it could seat about twenty fairies. It was primarily made out of several small wagons connected by huge chains and was pulled by that fastest pegasi ever alive. When she was seated, she started to wave and she kept on waving until she saw her house and their garden disappeared into almost nothing.
She sighed, “I wonder what awaits me in Fairtropolis.”

Megdelia was a flight fairy. She had bird’s wings, and was the fastest of all the fairies in Fairytropolis that she knew. She had greenish blue/gray eyes, and reddish brown hair that was often tied up on her head, so that it wouldn’t get in the way of her flying. Her job was a mail carrier. She brought mail to all the people of Fairytropolis. Sometimes, she even had to go to the castle to deliver letters, and that was how she met the princess, who was now one of Megdelia’s best friends. She usually wore a white and brown tunic, with leggings. Her shoes were brown boots. And she carried the mail in a big brown satchel. She was 19 years of age. She was also in a hurry to deliver this last letter. Then she would be done with this shift, and this letter, was for her home.
“Hey, watch where you’re going!” Someone called after her, as she accidentally hit him.
“Sorry!” Megdelia called, over her shoulder then kept on flying onward.
“Wings don’t fail me now,” she muttered, flapping harder.

Soon she made it, and right on time too. At least she hoped so.
“Octavious?” she called out, as she walked through the doors of the enormous greenhouse.
“Over here.” A voice called. Megdelia saw Octavious with his hands covered in pollen as well as the rest of his body. Megdelia tried hard not to laugh, but couldn’t help it. He looked hilarious! Soon Octavious joined her. The older fairy was like a grandfather to her, since she had no family to speak of.
“This is for you.” Megdelia held out the letter.
Octavious, wiped his hands on a clean spot on his apron took the letter and opened it. He gasped in surprise at what he read.
“What is it?”
“One of my old friends from when I was a child is sending his daughter here for tutoring. She’ll be arriving…” He took another glance. “Today!” he exclaimed he looked at Megdelia.
“Will you meet her at the station for me?”
Megdelia nodded. “What’s her name?”
He looked at the letter, “Aralina. Now hurry, because the wagon should be at the station any moment now.”
Megdelia nodded and took off without another word.

Aralina jolted awake.
“All out for Fairtropolis!” the driver called out.
It took a moment for those words to register, but when they did Aralina grabbed her bags and thanked the driver. As she disembarked, she looked around the station trying to find an old man with a gardener’s apron. She did not have to look far, for she saw her name on a sign, but it was not an old man. It was a girl around her age. She walked toward her and noticed the wings. They looked like hawk’s wings, but that would mean she was a messenger fairy.
“Are you Aralina?” She asked with a smile which Aralina returned, nervously.
“Yep!” Aralina answered in curiosity.
“I’m Megdelia. It’s nice to meet you.”
The fairy held out a hand, and Aralina put one of her suitcases down and shook it, grateful that at least one person in the big city was nice.
“Is that all you brought with you?” Megdelia asked motioning to the two suitcases and handbag. Aralina nodded as Megdelia reached for one of the suitcases and took it.
“Come on I’ll show you around.”
Aralina followed her new friend into the sky. Megdelia was having so much fun showing her around that she did not notice her new friend trying hard to keep up with her.
“Aren’t you tired?” Aralina gasped out, when Megdelia turned.
“Oh My!” She exclaimed seeing that her friend was exhausted from such flight.
“I’m so sorry I forgot that you weren’t a messenger fairy.” She gave Aralina a sympathetic smile.
Aralina nodded, a little flustered. “It’s okay, I understand.”
“Now that I have tired you out, why don’t we go home and get you settled in? I’m sure Octavious is anxious to meet you.”
Aralina nodded in agreement and flew after her friend. “So how long have you been living here?” She asked trying to make small talk.
“I don’t know.” Megdelia answered softly
Aralina was shocked by that answer, “What do you mean by that?”
“I only remember bits and pieces about my past. The only thing that I really remember is waking up in a nice warm bed and Octavious staring at me with a smile on his face and from then on he has been my only family.” Megdelia explained. Aralina stopped for a moment in shock then quickly flew faster to keep up with her friend. She could not imagine being awakened and not knowing who she was, or where her family was, or if she even had any.
“I just have one more question if it’s not too hard.”
“Shoot.” Megdelia answered with a shrug.
“Is Megdelia your real name?”
Megdelia nodded, “That is the only thing that I clearly remembered. That, and a couple other things like what my favorite color was, and my birthday. Little things like that.”
“How old were you?”
“Ten.”
Aralina flinched, ten years of her life missing.
“So how many brothers and sisters do you have?” Megdelia asked trying to avert the subject from herself.
“Twelve- five boys, and six girls seven including me. Not to mention my six cousins.”
It was Megdelia’s turn to flinch. She did not even know if she had any brothers or sisters or if her parents were still alive. She pushed those thoughts to the back of her head. Octavious was her family, and now she added Aralina to her family as well, for she remembered something that someone once said, ‘Family is not who you’re related to, but who you consider as your family.’
Octavious was waiting for them on his front steps, and to Megdelia’s surprise, and gratefulness, he had cleaned up some since Megdelia had left and combed his mangled hair, though part of it still stuck up in the back, which made him look cute.
“Welcome ,Aralina, to our humble abode.” He said with a huge smile and a bear hug.
Aralina smiled back. She could tell why her father entrusted her into his care. Octavious seemed as if he was very fatherly like. He had a somewhat round belly, and grayish white hair. He was of small stature and wore wire-rimmed glasses, and a white apron that covered his clothes.
“Megdelia,” he turned to her, “could you take Aralina to her room? It’s the one with the view of the garden.”
Megdelia nodded with a smile.
The palace garden was huge with every kind of flower and plant available for Octavious and his many helpers to plant.
“It’s beautiful isn’t it?” asked Megdelia
Aralina nodded in agreement as Megdelia continued, “Queen Alexandria loves plants and such, but she is very particular where they are put sometimes the gardeners have
